Are Godforge Weapons Teasing Future Heroes and PvP Meta? 6

If you’re like the rest of us eagerly waiting between Godforge alpha waves, you’ve probably found yourself digging through every corner of the game for clues. Today we’re diving into a fascinating rabbit hole of speculation that might just reveal what’s coming next to Godforge. From mysterious weapons potentially foreshadowing new heroes to one legendary hammer that could dominate future PvP battles, there’s plenty to chew on here.

So let’s break it down and explore what these weapons are really telling us, and whether Mjolnir might be the secret key to cracking the PvP meta wide open.

Weapons as Clues for Future Heroes

Godforge is packed with legendary weapons, but have you ever stopped to think about what those weapons represent? My theory is simple but compelling. Many of the weapons in-game appear to be tied to gods and mythological figures. For instance, Zeus’s thunderbolt isn’t a bolt but a spear that still clearly references the king of Olympus. The axe Worldsplitter belongs to Pangu, Mjolnir is unmistakably Thor’s, and even Dracula’s blood sword and the Holy Grail held by the Fisher King make appearances.

One standout example is a weapon listed as “Ame-No- Nuhoko,”  the celestial spear from Shinto myth used by Izanami and Izanagi to create the world. Even though they are missing from the current alpha roster, players know they will be in the game. Could this be a pattern to what is coming to Godforge?

Hidden Gods Behind Familiar Weapons

The theory only gets spicier when you dive into lesser-known items. Heka is a weapon used frequently in the alpha, particularly on Brawlers due to its massive attack boost. But did you know Heka is also the Egyptian god of magic and medicine? Its presence hints at deeper lore and possibly future divine additions to the roster.

Then there’s the Harpe, a sickle-like blade from Greek myth used by Kronos and Perseus. We already know Kronos is confirmed as a clan boss, but could Perseus also be on the way? Galatine, the sword of Gawain, might also be a quiet introduction for both Gawain and the Lady of the Lake. With each weapon tied to a mythic figure, it’s hard not to wonder if they’re laying the groundwork for a massive hero expansion.

Tyrfing, from Norse legend, is said to kill someone every time it’s drawn. Could it be tied to dwarven characters like Dvalin or Duran? And what about Sharur, the sentient, talking mace used by the god Ninurta to slay the demon Asag? Since Asag is already in the game, Ninurta might not be far behind.

This type of environmental storytelling is brilliant. It rewards lore junkies and gives fans something to get hyped about while waiting for new content.

The PvP Meta and the Rise of Mjolnir

Now let’s switch gears to something that could dramatically shape Godforge’s future PvP experience. Even though PvP isn’t available in the current alpha build, that hasn’t stopped the community from theorycrafting potential metas. In a recent podcast, Brad and guests discussed the risk of a PvP scenario where one speedy hero sets off a chain of ultimates, ending battles before they even begin.

This got me thinking about Aphrodite, whose ability to quickly ramp up another hero’s divinity can already feel a bit busted. If this mechanic carries over to PvP, one weapon could become the cornerstone of competitive play—Mjolnir.

Ranked up, Mjolnir grants a hefty divinity bonus, potentially up to 500 at level six. That’s massive. For heroes like Lady Xoc, who starts with 450 divinity, this means instant access to her ultimate. Hercules can start stacking HP and damage immediately. Even heroes like Anubis and Odin, who don’t benefit as directly, still get a significant head start.

Could Mjolnir Define Godforge PvP?

This theory suggests a potential meta where teams are built around one fast hero and several heavy-hitting ult machines, all wielding Mjolnir to start strong and finish fast. It raises real concerns about match pacing and whether PvP will devolve into ult-spamming battles with little room for strategy.

Of course, not every hero is ult-reliant. Mordred, for example, shines through his impactful core ability, which can be used right out of the gate. That balance between core and ultimate viability might be key in how PvP eventually plays out.

Still, it poses a valid question. Could casting ultimates out of turn be too powerful? Or will smart design decisions ensure this becomes one of many viable strategies? Only time will tell.

A Fun Look Into the Future

At the end of the day, this episode was all about embracing the fun of speculation. Whether these weapons really are breadcrumbs leading to new heroes or just clever easter eggs, it gives us something exciting to dig into during alpha downtime. The same goes for PvP theorycrafting—half the fun is imagining what could be, especially in a game as rich in myth and mechanics as Godforge.

Are the weapons in Godforge teasing future gods and legends, or are we just reading too much into the details? Will Mjolnir dominate PvP, or will another strategy rise to the top? Let us know what you think in the comments.
