Build A Brawler in Godforge

Brawlers in Godforge are the bruisers who trade health for raw power. They hit hard, scale from HP, and often weave in debuffs that make them dangerous in both boss fights and wave clears. In this guide, we’ll cut through the noise and show you exactly how to identify Brawlers, read their multipliers, and build them for success, whether you want reliable debuff control or pure damage.

Identifying a Brawler & Reading Multipliers

Brawlers are marked with the mace icon on the roster screen. Their multipliers usually mix Max HP + Attack, with many kits also leaning on Accuracy for debuffs. Always check ability details—those green numbers reveal what each skill scales from. Some, like Dracula, need Accuracy to land bleeds, while others, like Hercules, just want to smash waves with HP-scaling cleaves.

Building a Debuff Brawler (Dracula)

drac build

Debuff Brawlers thrive on Accuracy first, then HP%, and finally Crit stats. A typical build looks like:

  • Helmet: Accuracy or Crit Rate
  • Shoulders: HP% or Crit Damage
  • Chest: HP% main (mandatory)
  • Gloves: Accuracy or Crit Rate
  • Legs: HP%
  • Boots: Speed

The weapon of choice is WAS Heka, offering Accuracy, and a passive that converted HP into Attack. This has now changed to convert Attack into HP, whilst weaker overall this still fits nicely perfectly feeding their multipliers. However might not be the optimal choice anymore. Aim for around mid-to-high Accuracy values to land debuffs consistently in later stages.

Building a Damage Brawler (Hercules)

Damage-focused Brawlers chase Crit Rate and Crit Damage while keeping HP% high. Hercules is a prime example:

  • Helmet: Crit Rate
  • Shoulders: Crit Damage
  • Chest/Legs: HP%
  • Gloves: Crit Damage
  • Boots: Speed

Heka is still excellent (although again weakened since change), though Attack based weapons like Thunderbolt can work. Always push Crit Rate close to 100% without sacrificing HP% and enough Accuracy to let incidental debuffs stick.

Unique Twist: Percival the Resistance Bruiser

Some Brawlers flip expectations. Percival, for instance, scales heavily from Resistance while still needing Accuracy for stuns. Building him means stacking Resistance mains on chest or helmet, keeping HP% where possible, and using Speed boots with supportive substats. Sets that boost Resistance each turn can make him a sticky control piece who gets stronger the longer he fights.

Gear Sets That Shine

Brawlers love HP sets above all else.

  • Kraken/Brawler: Big HP% boosts—core to their scaling.
  • Disruptor: Accuracy for debuff builds.
  • Avenger: Healing sustain.
  • Soul: Strong if your ult is a main nuke.
  • Falcon: Great early-game speed option.
  • Jaguar/Claw: Extra Crit Damage/Rate for DPS builds.
  • Eagle/Raven: Initiative or Accuracy support.

Pick sets that patch stat gaps first, then chase perfect synergy.

Final Thoughts

Whether you’re bleeding bosses with Dracula, cleaving waves with Hercules, or locking down enemies with Percival, the recipe is simple: read multipliers, hit Accuracy thresholds, stack HP%, and balance Crit for damage builds. The go-to weapon for most Brawlers is now uncertain, Heka still has its double-dipping passive, but flexibility comes from knowing what each hero scales from.
