Changes Coming in Godforge Alpha Wave 2
Alpha Wave 1 of Godforge is in the books, and the feedback from the community has been invaluable in shaping what’s next. The first testing wave revealed some incredible moments, a few rough edges, and plenty of opportunities to make the Caverns of Chaos even more exciting. With Alpha Wave 2, Fateless Game Studio is rolling out the first set of official patch notes, packed with hero rebalancing, new quality-of-life features, economy tweaks, and over a hundred bug fixes. Let’s break down the key updates coming in this next chapter of the Alpha.
Hero Unbinding – Turn Benched Heroes Into Progress

Roster management is about to get a lot smoother. Hero Unbinding is a brand-new feature in Alpha 2 that allows you to release heroes you don’t plan to use in exchange for valuable resources.
When you unbind a hero, you’ll receive their Spirit form based on rarity:
- Common → 1-Star Spirit
- Uncommon → 2-Star Spirit
- Rare → 3-Star Spirit
- Epic → 4-Star Spirit
- Legendary → 5-Star Spirit
On top of that, unbound heroes grant experience based on their Rank and Level. The catch? Unbinding is permanent, so choose wisely. This is a fantastic way to funnel resources into your top-performing Scions without letting unused heroes gather dust.
Caverns of Chaos – Harder Foes, Better Rewards
The Caverns of Chaos are getting a significant rebalance to keep things fun yet challenging. After Floor 90, enemy heroes will now gain increased Resistance and Accuracy, encouraging players to build more strategic teams that rely on buffs and debuffs.
Economy improvements make farming smoother too:
- Double Ascension Alchemy Stones across all stages
- Higher 2-Star Spirit drop rates at upper levels
- 120 stages now drop any armor slot with higher quality at higher stages — perfect for auto-farming
- Better reward distribution for ability upgrades
And for those who reached the final stages, Fafnir won’t be such a pushover anymore. The fiery drake at Stages 150–151 has been powered up, setting the stage for some intense endgame battles.
Quality-of-Life UI Improvements
Fateless has listened closely to player feedback, making much-needed UI updates:
- Larger touch points for mobile players, making hero upgrades smoother
- Realm Flags in the roster so you can quickly identify a hero’s origin
- Improved battle camera with three new perspectives:
- POV for a cinematic, up-close view
- TOP for a wider, static angle
- ACT as a balanced middle ground between the two
These tweaks should make navigating menus and watching battles much more satisfying.
In-Battle Info – Clarity in the Heat of Combat

One of the biggest complaints from Alpha Wave 1 was how hard it was to read buffs and debuffs mid-battle. Wave 2 introduces a new In-Battle Info screen, accessible via an Info button, that displays a larger and clearer breakdown of all active effects.
Visual upgrades to effect size and quality will also help you make better tactical decisions, especially when facing the deadlier encounters deep in the Caverns.
Hero Rebalances – Power Adjustments Across the Board
A huge roster of heroes is getting balance changes, with updates to damage multipliers, Divinity, and ability upgrades. Some, like Aphrodite, Beowulf, Hel, Shamash, and Zeus, have received more substantial overhauls to fix game-breaking mechanics and improve overall balance.
This is the perfect time to revisit your team compositions — some old favorites may rise in power, while others might need rethinking.
Over 100 Bug Fixes for a Smoother Experience
The Fateless team has smashed over a hundred bugs since the first wave, making Wave 2 more stable and enjoyable. Highlights include:
- Fixed combat freezes, infinite counterattack loops, and immortal heroes
- Corrected broken passives, cooldown issues, and ability text
- Resolved problems with hero promotion, imprint abilities, and challenge completion
- Major performance and memory improvements for a smoother run
The result? A cleaner, faster, and far more reliable Godforge Alpha.
In Summary
Alpha Wave 2 is shaping up to be a huge leap forward for Godforge, both in gameplay balance and player experience. With tougher late-game challenges, more meaningful roster management, and loads of quality-of-life upgrades, this next phase should keep players on their toes in the Caverns of Chaos.
