Godforge Alpha Wave 1: Top 5 Weapons

As Alpha Wave 1 comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to look back at which weapons truly defined the early Caverns experience. From game-changing utility to raw stat boosts, these picks stood out for their impact on progression and boss fights. Keep in mind, this is just the first alpha, and some of these items may be rebalanced in future waves.

Honorable Mentions – Ame-No-Nuhoko & Thunderbolt

Two powerful weapons didn’t quite make the top five — but only because of specific circumstances.

Ame-No-Nuhoko has been the backbone of unkillable shield teams thanks to its divinity-stealing power. With stacking effects (some players even run five copies), bosses can be locked out of their ultimates entirely. However, this is so strong it’s almost certain to be changed in the future.

Thunderbolt is an excellent pick in follow-up attack comps, but it’s niche and only effects single target attacks. In the right setup, it’s devastating outside of those, less so.

No. 5 – Grail

The Grail increases all sources of healing by 50% at five stars (30% at level one). If it applies to team-wide healing effects, like the Avenger or Body gear sets, it could be a game-breaking sustain tool.

For example, with a 4 piece Body set (heals allies for 25% of damage inflicted with basics), the Grail would raise that to 37%. Put that on a hero like Beowulf, who deals max HP damage, and you could see massive team heals without running a dedicated healer.

Even if it only applies to the wielder’s heals, it’s still valuable — especially if it boosts effects like Mend from Isolde or Quetzalcoatl’s basics. The big question is whether it works on ally-applied effects, but even under conservative assumptions, it’s a solid pick for sustain-heavy teams.

No. 4 – World Splitter

Pangu’s signature weapon offers a deceptively simple bonus: up to 10% to all stats at max rank. While flat stat boosts may not seem flashy, they apply to everything — attack, HP, initiative, accuracy, resistance, and even speed, crit rate and crit damage.

That kind of universal boost smooths out stat checks, making it easier to hit caps and push through tricky stages. You can’t directly see the boost on your stat screen, but the impact is felt in every fight.

No. 3 – Mjolnir

Everyone gets a copy of Mjolnir early on, and it’s an immediate power spike. At max rank, it grants 500 (we think) divinity at the start of battle, letting certain heroes use their ultimates instantly.

For heroes like Lady Xoc, that means opening a fight with a core ability into massive ult  reducing core cooldown. Erasing waves before they become dangerous. Even on supports like Aphrodite, it helps accelerate key abilities. This weapon’s value lies in tempo control — getting your strongest skills out before the enemy can act.

No. 2 – Naginata

A rare weapon with unnatural power, Naginata has up to a 25% chance to immediately trigger a damaging debuff. It’s especially potent with effects like Acid or Blaze, which deal a flat % of HP regardless of stacking, allowing you to chip down bosses faster.

Bleed users can also benefit — especially heroes like Achilles or Dracula who apply multiple stacks instantly — but in general, DoTs that don’t require ramp time make better use of it. Running two or three copies across your team can make boss phases much smoother.

No. 1 – Heka

The standout weapon of Alpha Wave 1, especially for brawlers, is Heka. It grants 10% of current HP as attack — an incredible conversion that scales throughout the fight.

On a hero like Pangu with 70k HP, that’s an extra 7k attack on top of already high base stats. For heroes who scale off both attack and HP, this is the single biggest offensive boost available. Add in its accuracy bonuses, and it turns tanky bruisers into hard-hitting monsters.

Heka rewards investment in HP gear while letting you hit for “silly numbers,” making it a near auto-pick for many Wave 1 brawler builds.

Final Thoughts – Weapon Meta After Wave 1

From the sustain power of the Grail to Heka’s insane attack scaling, Alpha Wave 1’s best weapons have already shaped how players approach team building. While balance changes are inevitable, these items have proven themselves as high-priority targets for farming and upgrading.
