The Best Hero Designs: Our Top 30 Favorites

When we scroll through the roster, a few heroes always make us stop and just stare. Not because they’re overpowered or meta-defining, but because they look incredible. Their silhouettes, textures, and tiny details tell a story before we ever read their lore or test their skills.

What started as a “Top 10” quickly spiralled into a Top 30, because there were simply too many designs we love across all rarities. This isn’t a power ranking. It’s a celebration of visual design — the heroes that feel iconic, memorable, and lovingly crafted, from their weapons and armor to their posture and expression.

Uncommons – Simple But Iconic

Terracotta Warrior roster

Even at uncommon rarity, some heroes look like they belong much higher.

The Terracotta Warrior is a perfect example. Inspired by the real Terracotta Army, he feels like a living statue: clay-like surfaces, rigid armor, and a stoic stance that sells the idea of an ancient guardian. For such a low rarity, he carries a ton of presence.

The Nubian Warrior is one of the earlier models, but still holds up beautifully. The body markings feel like ritual tattoos, the longbow is clean and elegant, and his overall silhouette is grounded and athletic.

Then there’s the Eagle Archer, another early design that still shines. The feathered tunic, light armor and distinctive bow come together to create a clear fantasy: a hunter with style.

Rares – Strong Themes and Personality

The Tzilacatzin is visually striking: a ripped physique, decorated weapon and shield, and a ceremonial jaguar headdress that immediately grounds him in a specific culture and fighting tradition.

The Strzyga, inspired by monstrous foes in dark fantasy like The Witcher, blends beautiful maiden with terrifying creature. That clash between allure and horror works so well that she actually got bumped up in rarity.

Seeress, the ice sorceress, carries frost in her hands, on her feet, and threaded through her clothing. Even in darker lighting, you can see the cold-themed effects playing across her design.

Skadi is another standout, especially for facial work. Her face is one of the strongest among rares, and combined with well-modeled hair and armor she feels like a believable, grounded warrior rather than a generic background character.

Finally, Bauk gives us a fierce, ethereal bear spirit. He looks like a guardian pulled out of myth: glowing presence, heavy shape, and just enough menace to remind you that sacred things can still be dangerous.

Epics – Big Concepts, Bold Execution

Ryujin Roster

Xipe Totec, the Flayed Man, is unsettling in exactly the way he should be. Layered skin and cloth textures, sharp details and brutal theming make him hard to look away from.

The Cyclops, Polyphemas, brings proper giant energy. His proportions and stance make him feel truly massive, like the kind of enemy you do not want to see charging toward you.

Another giant, Gogmagog, from Avalon, feels half creature, half landscape. Moss, shrubs and stone-like surfaces cover his form, and the stone tablet strapped to his back hints at ancient duties or forgotten lore.

Sun Tzu channels one of history’s great strategists. His armour, posture and expression put intellect first: more general than brute, more commander than brawler.

Then we have Nanaya, a lightly dressed, cold-themed warrior. Her hair, outfit and stance give off a confident, slightly dangerous energy. There’s some cleanup still planned in her animations, but the underlying model is strong and appealing.

Xquic stands out thanks to her wild weapon and sharp, aggressive styling. The face sculpt is excellent, and even with some quirky leg posing, the overall design oozes personality and danger.

Our serpent-dragon Ryujin is tied to the sea, and you can see it in the decorative details along his body. His long, flowing forms and aquatic touches give him an ancient feel.

Xolotl is an older concept that has aged very well. Talon-like feet, layered forearm guards and a carefully sculpted face make him feel alien yet noble.

Mezu was originally intended to be a rare, but once the model came together there was no way he could stay that low. The complexity of his armor, the commanding silhouette and the overall polish push him firmly into epic territory.

Rounding out this tier are Nezha and Devana. Nezha’s armor is rich with detail and ornamental shapes, and future VFX will only push the design further. Devana, though simpler than many epics, is executed extremely well: her hair and furs look great, and her pose is grounded and believable.

Legendaries – Full Mythological Showcase

Pazuzu roster

Thor absolutely nails the thunder god fantasy. The massive hammer, the horned elements, the imposing armor and massive drinking horn give him a powerful, instantly recognisable silhouette. With VFX on the hammer and eyes, he’ll look even more electric.

Pazuzu is pure menace. Huge demonic wings, a deadly scorpion tail and twisted anatomy make him feel like a raid boss rather than just another unit.

King Arthur has been refined again and again, and the result shows. His oversized tower shield is iconic, Excalibur has real character, and the cloak sells his regal, heroic nature.

Grendel is a grotesque giant with an arm made of flesh and bone. He carries trophies, sacks of body parts, dead hands, scavenged bucklers — turning fallen foes into ornaments.

Cizin might be one of the best-executed legendaries overall. Every part of the design, armor, weapon, pose — feels cohesive and full of character.

Heimdall feels perfectly at home in an Asgardian setting. Detailed armor, a glowing central jewel and subtle VFX give him the look of a powerful guardian watching over something sacred.

With Medusa, early concepts were quite different, but the final direction works beautifully. Her face is striking, the snakes are expertly modeled, and the bow is secretly one of the most intricate weapons in the game.

Lamashtu  is another towering demon who feels absolutely like endgame content. Heavy armor, a brutal silhouette and lore links to Pazuzu make him look central, not secondary, to the world.

Lilith balances seductive and sinister in one package. Her shapes, costume and posture all work together to give her a powerful demonic allure while still feeling dangerous and unpredictable.

Baba Yaga is one of the most unique designs conceptually. Built around her folklore roots, she will eventually sit in a strange mobile structure with skulls orbiting her as weapons.

Horus has been lifted further by new lighting and Egyptian realm VFX. Glowing accents and refined armor bring the divine falcon-warrior fantasy to life and really make him pop on screen.

Finally, we have Oda Nobunaga and the Celtic Druid. Oda is a masterclass in texture and color: rich armor, perfectly tuned cloth and great lighting combine to make him look incredibly premium.

Why These Designs Stand Out

Looking across all 30 heroes, one thing becomes obvious: great visual design isn’t just about rarity or how many effects you can stack onto a model. It’s about clear themes, strong silhouettes, and small details that make a character feel like they truly belong in their world.
With improvements in lighting and the addtion of VFX still to come, these 30 already represent some of the strongest visual work in the roster so far. And as more heroes arrive, it will be exciting to see which new faces force their way into this list — and which of today’s favourites eventually get knocked off their pedestal by the next wave of unforgettable designs.
