The Ultimate Beginner Guide to Godforge: Alpha Caverns
Godforge’s Alpha Caverns are live, and with them comes an entirely new progression system packed with powerful rewards. If you’re aiming to build a stacked account, push to the highest floor, and get the most out of every run, understanding the core systems behind weapons, ascension, XP, and hero upgrades is essential.
Here’s the ultimate beginner’s guide to mastering floors 1–90 and beyond.
Breaking Down the Cavern Floors

Each floor in the Alpha Caverns serves a distinct purpose. Knowing what to farm and where is key:
Floors ending in 1: Helmets
Floors ending in 2: Chest pieces
Floors ending in 3: Shoulder pads
Floors ending in 4: Gauntlets
Floors ending in 6: Leg armor
Floors ending in 7: Boots
Floors ending in 8: Weapons
Floors ending in 9: Godsteel and XP
Boss floors like 10, 20, 30 – drop multiple item types and 5, 15, 25 drop Ascension Stones. These are perfect for bulk farming, especially if you’re looking for full gear setups or hero materials.
Weapon Imprints and Enhancements

Weapons are more than just stat sticks—they come with Imprints, passive effects that can dramatically shift performance.
You can:
- Extract imprints from heroes using the Anvil of Creation
- Apply them to compatible weapons
- Enhance them using Godsteel, which drops on floor 9 stages
Godsteel is faction-specific. If your weapon is labeled “Asgard,” you’ll need Asgardian Godsteel to enhance it. Olympus, Avalon, Tann, and others follow the same rule.
Hero Ascension: Power from the Stars
Ascension grants base stats and unlocks passives at tier 3. Here’s where to farm:
Floor 5: Red and purple stones
Floor 15: Blue and purple stones
Floor 25: Green and purple stones
Higher floors give polished or imperfect stones used for epic and legendary units. Look for pink stars on hero portraits to track their ascension level. The deeper you go, the more powerful the drops.
XP Farming: Floor 9 Is King
Need to level fast? Floor 9 stages give by far the most XP per run. Early on, you’ll earn around 14,000 XP per clear. Just one floor higher, that number can more than double. If you’re training fodder or boosting your team’s strength, spam floor 9s.
Guaranteed Hero Drops
Certain floors grant guaranteed hero drops:
Floor 7: Dagen
Floor 10: Isolde
Floor 20: Random epic (from a curated pool)
Floor 30: Guaranteed legendary from a small pool (Odin, Aphrodite, Anubis, etc.)
Boss floors also have higher legendary drop rates overall. If you’re grinding for rare units or dupe imprints, this is where to do it.
Hero Upgrades, Skills, and Awakening

Upgrading: Use spirits and duplicates, or toggle the cog to use rare heroes
Skill upgrades:
- Pages for rares
- Scrolls for epics
- Tomes for legendaries
- Awakening: Use duplicate heroes, direct imprints, or universal imprints (but don’t waste legendary imprints on rare units!)
To awaken a hero, click the skill icon and select your source. Once awakened, the bonus is applied immediately.
Gearing 101
Match your gear sets to a hero’s primary stat (HP, ATK, DEF, etc.). Not all gear is equal—some sets provide turn meter boosts, scaling effects, or sustain. Check stat scaling under the hero’s detail tab, and equip accordingly.
Weapon rarity increases with floor level. Rare weapons start on floor 8, and epics begin to appear around floor 38. Each faction’s weapon theme can pair with the right imprint and godsteel for serious power gains.
Leaderboards and Final Goals
Even though the competition wave hasn’t started, you can track your progress via the in-game leaderboard. It shows:
- Floor progression
- Stars earned
- Final boss damage (floor 151)
The path to the top is more than raw damage—it’s about smart farming, efficient use of resources, and team synergy. And the journey is just getting started.
Final Thoughts
This is just the beginning of what’s possible in the Alpha Caverns. Whether you’re farming XP, chasing gear sets, or building toward your first legendary awakenings, understanding how each system connects gives you a major edge. Keep grinding, keep optimizing, and prepare for what’s to come.
And remember—this isn’t just a race to the top. It’s a test of strategy, efficiency, and the mastery of your roster.
