All Elemental Affinity Changes You Need to Know

We're just days into the dive back into the world of elemental mayhem. One of the most exciting revamps has come to the game, the complete overhaul of elemental affinities. Whether you're a PvP strategist, PvE grinder, or just love experimenting with team comps, these changes are about to flip the meta on its head.

Let's break down each elemental affinity's new effects, what they mean for your teams, and why it's more important than ever to synergize your heroes correctly. Ready to craft your ultimate squad? Let's go!

Frost: Stack Up the Crowd Control & Max HP Damage

Frost, or the Ice affinity, has long been a PvP powerhouse, but now it's getting a significant upgrade. When Frost reaches five stacks, it inflicts Frozen, reducing the enemy's attack and recharge speed by 20%. That's a huge crowd control advantage!

What's new here? Frost now deals additional damage based on the attacker's stats, specifically scaling with attack. On top of that, if you have three Frost heroes on your team, one enemy is inflicted with Frozen for 5 seconds right at the start of battle, an immediate edge in PvP.

And supports haven't been left out. Pairing two or more supports grants your team a starting shield, scaling up to 15% max HP with three supports. Great for early-game survival and giving you breathing room in tough fights!

Key takeaway: Frost teams are still dominating PvP and remain deadly in wave-based PvE content. If control is your style, you'll want Frost in your lineup.

Necrosis: Summon the Darkflame Phoenix!

If you love summoning units and dominating with sheer presence, Necrosis just became your new best friend. By using three Necrosis damage dealers, you'll summon a Darkflame Phoenix. A tanky, crowd-controlling beast.

The Phoenix knocks up enemies on arrival, stunning them for 3 seconds, and gains 50% defense parry while dealing consistent AoE necrotic damage. Plus, the damage it parries? That gets converted into healing for your ally with the lowest HP. Oh, and did we mention it also inflicts Silence and Blind on AoE attacks? That's a LOT of utility in one summon.

The Phoenix could become a go-to tank in modes like Grave of Venom, PvP, and even world bosses. This elemental affinity is now about more than just damage. It's sustain, control, and survivability all in one.

Wild: The Dice Are Always in Your Favor

Wild characters are about to live up to their name  with a seriously explosive buff to their skill dice mechanics. Wild dice rolls now recharge your exclusive skill, granting a Burst effect when fully charged. During Burst, all Wild dice rolls hit the max value. With three Wild heroes? You're guaranteed those max rolls.

Imagine a team that's always hitting its peak potential on every roll. That's Wild. If you like big damage spikes and consistent procs, Wild heroes just skyrocketed in viability.

Bonus tip: Supports still give your team that useful starting shield, but with Wild's raw output, you might not need it!

Dauntless: Thundercloud Mayhem

Dauntless teams can now summon Thunderclouds to assist with every basic attack. With three Dauntless heroes, the Thundercloud has a 50% chance to perform coordinated attacks, scaling with your resonance level and attack frequency.

The kicker? The Thundercloud upgrades its weapon if you sustain high-frequency basic attacks, resulting in more powerful strikes. After 10 assists, it releases electric arcs, dealing Lightning damage over time. Stack up multi-hitters, and watch your enemies fry!

Gameplay tip: Build your Dauntless teams with heroes whose skills count as basic attacks for maximum Thundercloud uptime

Radiance: Auto-Rally Buffs & Enhanced Ultimates

Radiance, or Rally, teams now automatically gain Rally stacks at the start of battle. With two Radiance allies, you'll gain another Rally stack every 30 seconds, and with three, every 20 seconds.

This ensures your Radiance heroes always have the buff needed to enhance their abilities, without relying solely on buffers. Some characters even unlock additional benefits based on the number of Rally stacks they have, leading to higher skill damage or extra effects.

Caution: The interval-based Rally stacking may limit your flexibility if your skills cycle faster than the buff refresh, but the built-in stacking mechanism is a solid safety net for consistent performance.

Poison: Now With AoE Pools of Doom

Poison element has typically struggled in earlier seasons, that is unless you had specific units like Rook or Corin. But now, when a Poison debuff is triggered, there's a chance to spawn a Poison Pool under the target, dealing continuous poison damage to nearby enemies.

At three Poison heroes, you gain a 60% chance to spawn these pools, creating a ripple effect of damage over time. You'll still need solid Enlightenment and Attack stats, but with this AoE enhancement, Poison teams might finally break through as viable in wave-clearing scenarios.

Supports: Universal Shield Utility

No matter your elemental affinity, adding support characters to your team grants all allies a starting shield that scales with your lineup. While the shield lasts only 30 seconds, it's an excellent way to mitigate early damage, especially in high-difficulty content.

Final Thoughts: Which Affinity Will You Build?

With the relaunch of Dragonheir: Silent Gods, these elemental affinity reworks add an exciting new layer of strategy. Whether you're building around Frost for control, Necrosis for summoning, Wild for raw damage, or Dauntless for electrifying synergy, every choice now feels more impactful.
