Arclight Rumble

Combat in Arclight Rumble

Spacer

Like many mobile games, Arclight Rumble’s combat system is based on 3 simple rules. How you make use of this knowledge and your attacking force can drastically alter the state of play and your chances of success in both PvE and PvP combat.

In Arclight Rumble there are 3 different types of troops that you will have access to.

Melee Troops

Melee Troops specialize in getting up close and personal with their targets. They use hand-to-hand combat to take down their foes. Melee units in Arclight Rumble usually either need to be paired with a Tank or have the ability to close the gap quickly to engage their foes.

Ranged Troops

Ranged Troops in Arclight Rumble are there to stand back and nuke. These units will usually be archers or spell casters, however, some units like the Flamehammer will throw hammers at their foes causing devastating damage.

Flying Troops

In Arclight Rumble, not only do you need to worry about ground units attacking with melee and ranged units laying siege to your units from far away, but attacks will also come from the sky in form of flying units. Arclight Rumble has a mixture of flying units that you need to look out for from Drakes that will set the ground alight to Harpies that will wreak havoc if left unchecked on the battlefield.

How to deal with each type of troop in Arclight Rumble

If you want to maximize your chances of winning a battle in Arclight Rumble then you need to make use of the troops that you have in your hand to counter your opponent. This can be done by paying close attention to the types of units that are in play on the battlefield.

Many players of games such as Pokemon or Raid Shadow Legends will be aware of the impact of affinity in those games, the age-old – Fire beats grass, grass beats water, and water beats fire…Well in Arclight Rumble this is similar, but with a Warcraft twist.

In Arclight Rumble, Ranged beats flying, flying beats melee and melee beats ranged.

This is highlighted in the image below:

Combat

This equation is not always as cut and dry as it seems because Ranged units have ways to keep Melee at bay and some melee will have abilities to close the fight with flying units, however, as a general rule, this equation will play a large role in the outcome of your encounters.

Be sure to keep this in mind when you enter Arclight Rumble to build your best chance of success.
