Dragonheir Bosses: Season 4 Preview

Season 4 is nearly upon us, and with it comes an array of exciting new Dragonheir Bosses, including three exciting challenges that are set to test your strategic prowess and combat skills.

In this article, we’ll dive into what you can expect from these new Dragonheir bosses, the mechanics they bring to the table, and how you can prepare to take them down. Let’s get started!

Vortex Mode: Raging/Rampage Mode

One of the most exciting changes this season is the introduction of a new Vortex mode, referred to as Raging Mode in-game and Rampage Mode in the developer clips. This mode allows players to select different buffs to empower their team, adding a strategic layer to combat. For instance, one of the buffs increases ultimate energy restoration by 100%, enabling faster skill rotations.

While we haven’t had the chance to test this mode personally, the provided developer clips showcase its potential. The mode appears as a red-tinted version of the Vortex, suggesting a more challenging experience with enhanced enemy capabilities. Players can expect to deal more damage thanks to the buffs, but staying alive will probably be significantly harder.

As soon as the event begins, we’ll be able to dive deeper into the mechanics and provide a comprehensive guide. For now, it’s exciting to know that a new challenge awaits beyond the usual Vortex grind.

Endgame Boss: Aschetius

Season 4 introduces Aschetius, a massive fiery demon reminiscent of the burn hero Aschetius. This single-target boss fight promises to be visually stunning and mechanically challenging. While the exact skills of Aschetius are still unknown, the preview shows debuffs such as [Heal Reduction] and [Buff Prohibition] affecting individual backline characters, indicating targeted mechanics.

The fight against Aschetius will likely require careful positioning and strategic use of debuffs to mitigate his powerful attacks. Visually, Aschetius stands out as one of the most impressive bosses we’ve seen, adding an epic feel to the endgame content of Season 4. As we learn more about his abilities, we’ll provide detailed strategies to help players conquer this fiery foe.

Fey Meander: Phosphora, Lady of Nightswamp

Every season brings a new Fey Meander boss, and Season 4 is no exception. This time, players will face a giant moth, a significant departure from previous boss designs. The moth boss introduces new mechanics, including [Shield] buffs and gaining buffs. Breaking these shields and removing the buffs is crucial, as failing to do so allows the boss to heal, prolonging the fight.

You will also need to ensure you have enough AOE Damage to cover the spawns during the encounter, whilst also being able to single-target the boss down, due to the additional damage taken from Radiance sources – this fight could be a dream for Rally and Aura heroes!

Phosphora, Lady of Nightswamp Skills:

Cocoon Protection [Passive]:

The monster possesses Radiant Vulnerability (Radiant Damage taken increased by 10%).
Upon losing 20% of her Max HP, the monster summons 2 Scaly Cocoons at random locations.
Gains a [+15% Max HP] [Shield] and [Defense Up I] for 8.0s to spin a cocoon for herself. In this period, stops recharging energy and deals Necrotic Damage to all enemies every 1s. When she finishes with the cocoon period, deals Necrotic Damage to all enemies. And by this time if she still possesses the [Shield] or [Defense Up I], gains an undispellable [Attack Up ] and heals herself by [+20% Max HP].

Layers of Shadows [Skill 1]:

Summons 3 Scaly Cocoons at the location with the most enemies standing. After 5s, if Scaly Cocoons are still alive, the cocoons hatch Phantoms to deal Necrotic Damage to nearby enemies, with a 100% chance to inflict [Charmed] on them for 5.0s.

Ethereal Scales [Skill 2]:

Grants [Shroud of Light] to the monster herself for 5.0s. If the monster possesses [Shroud of Light] there is a 20% chance to reduce the current damage taken by 50% and deal Necrotic Damage to the damage dealer. Extends the current [Shroud of Light] for 1s simultaneously.

Revelrous Moths [Skill 3]:

Summons a large swarm of moths to attack. Deals Necrotic Damage to enemies hit by moths, with a 100% chance to inflict [Stunned] on them for 5.0s.

Fluttering Wings [Skill 4]:

Deals Necrotic Damage to all enemies with a 100% chance to inflict [Silence] and [Blind] for 5.0s on them.
