Dragonheir S2 Preperation Guide

Season 1 is coming to a close, and with it arrives Season 2 — Misty Sea Voyage. The reset system in Dragonheir works very differently from other RPGs, so knowing what you’ll keep and what you’ll lose is essential if you want a smooth start. Let’s break down the reset rules, what they mean for your account, and how to prepare before the season change.

Important Dates

The transition is a three-step process. On September 12, the developers will announce server merges. On September 18 at 05:00 UTC, the Clepsydra Ranking Settlement for Phase III goes live, distributing end-of-season rewards. Finally, on September 19 at 06:30 UTC, the new season officially begins, with the first batch of servers entering Season 2.

What carries over?

Seasonal Reset Rules

Your heroes remain safe. Everything you’ve unlocked—including Skill Levels and Inspiration Levels—will stay, though Talents will reset so you can re-invest them under the new system. Artifacts also carry forward, but their levels are wiped back to zero. You’ll get a proportional refund of Essence of Creation (roughly 70% from Heliolite Dice sources and 10% from others, plus bonus rewards), which will allow you to quickly re-level the most important pieces.

Most valuable currencies and items stay with you. Warmarrow, Dragon Crystals, Summon Dice, Skill Scrolls, Pages, Imprints, Hero Option Chests, various exchange shop currencies, and even unconsumed monthly cards will roll into Season 2 without issue. Cosmetics such as Avatars, Frames, Dice skins, and Mounts are also preserved. World exploration, chest collection, and camp construction also remain untouched.

Alliances carry over partially. Your name, members, and roles are preserved, but levels and contributions reset. This isn’t a drawback—it simply means you can collect alliance rewards again.

What Resets?

The most obvious change comes with equipment. Ownership of gear does not transfer into Season 2. Instead, you can secure four items by placing them in the Clepsydra Trail Boundless Chest. The forged piece you’ve worked on should always be your first pick, followed by your highest-impact items. Everything else is wiped.

Artifact levels are reset, but refunded Essence ensures you won’t start from zero. Hero Talents also reset, though this is less painful than it sounds—talent farming is quick and the system encourages experimenting with new setups.

Elemental Affinity changes each season. The system resets entirely, offering different combinations and bonuses in Season 2. This shake-up is deliberate, forcing new team-building strategies and freshening the meta.

Stamina does not carry over. Any you have left will be lost, so it should always be spent before the reset.

Seasonal Structure and Rewards

Each season is split into three phases, with Phase III being the most important since it pays out premium rewards. Clepsydra Echoes you’ve collected will convert into Pure Sandcores at a 100:1 ratio, which can be used for rewards in the new season. The leaderboard also determines the tier of your Seasonal Shop. Higher placement unlocks better items such as Heliolite Dice, Master Scrolls, and Warmarrow.

A new banner at the start of every season features only the heroes introduced in that season, including new rares. Depending on your settlement rewards, you may secure tickets that guarantee two Legendaries within the first 20 pulls, either from the new season pool or a mix of old and new heroes. Between settlement payouts, Seasonal Shop exchanges, daily login rewards, and the Seasonal Journey, expect hundreds of Heliolite Dice and even free Legendaries.

Preparing for the Reset

The key is to spend resources wisely. Use up all your stamina before the reset, preferably chasing gear in dungeons or climbing higher in Hard Training events. Decide which four gear pieces you’ll carry over, prioritizing your forged item. Push leaderboard ranking as far as possible, since the shop tier and settlement rewards will make a big difference in the early days of S2.

Don’t panic over artifacts or talents—the refunded Essence and the resonance system make re-leveling painless. Instead, sketch out which heroes you’ll reinvest Talents into first so you aren’t scrambling on day one. Likewise, look ahead at the new affinity pairings and prepare rosters that can take advantage of them.

Final thoughts

The reset is designed to keep the game fresh without erasing your progress. You keep your heroes, skills, currencies, cosmetics, and exploration, while artifacts, gear, talents, and affinities are reset to push new strategies. Go into Season 2 prepared, spend stamina efficiently, line up your carry-over gear, and get ready for a season filled with new characters, mechanics, and plenty of Heliolite Dice.
