Dragonheir: Silent Gods – Combat Update

Welcome to our third preview of Dragonheir’s highly anticipated relaunch! This time, we’re diving into the beating heart of the gameplay experience: combat. From mechanical reworks to strategic depth enhancements, the battlefield in Dragonheir is undergoing a total transformation designed to empower both casual players and hardcore tacticians.

Let’s break down everything you need to know from the latest developer reveal.

New Battle Mechanic: Elemental Bonds

The biggest shift in team-building comes with the introduction of Elemental Bonds—a new system that grants bonus effects when deploying 2 or more heroes of the same comp. These bonds offer unique synergy boosts tied to the comp’s nature and unlock powerful passive effects during combat.

Seven comp bonds are available at launch:

  • Wild – Empowers dice roll mechanics for increased damage and Exclusive Skill recharge.
  • Frost – Deals extra cold damage and inflicts Cold or Frozen at 5 stacks.
  • Rally – Grants stacks that boost ultimate skills, enhancing up to 3 levels.
  • Support – Provides a 30-second shield to all allies at battle start.
  • Summon – Summons an undead Darkflame Phoenix with strength based on Resonance Level.
  • Dauntless – Triggers coordinated attacks via Thundercloud mechanics.
  • Poison – Creates Poison Pools under enemies affected by Poison Explosion, dealing AoE damage over time.

These bond effects scale at higher Resonance Levels, giving players even more incentive to plan team synergy around comp types.

Role Reclassification

To streamline team-building and enhance clarity, many heroes have been reassigned to new roles that better reflect their skill sets. Notably:

  • Defensive heroes have been folded into the Support category.
  • This shift lets them trigger Support Bond effects and participate in synergistic team bonuses like shield generation.

You can now more easily identify how a hero contributes to your team, making both manual and auto-team setups smoother and more effective.

Hero Skill Adjustments

Alongside role reworks, many heroes have received skill overhauls—both in terms of functionality and balance. For instance:

  • Dragon of Death (Ultimate): Now sacrifices undead units to deal Necrotic Damage, transforming into a true dragon at 20 stacks of Dragon Blood.
  • Skill upgrades now affect recharge times and scaling, enhancing responsiveness and strategic timing.

These changes breathe new life into older characters and align them more tightly with the new combat system.

Comp Trait Modifications

Several Comp Traits have received optimizations to deepen strategy:

  • Frost now includes stacking mechanics that lead to bonus Cold damage and CC.
  • Wild incorporates dice-based scaling damage that can reach guaranteed max rolls during Burst phases.
  • Rally introduces a stacking mechanic that enhances ultimate abilities depending on how many Rally stacks are consumed.

These reworks turn previously flat traits into scalable, impactful systems you can build around.

New Quality of Life Tools

A powerful new team damage calculator and recommended formation interface have been added. Players can now:

  • View real-time damage metrics during team setup.
  • Receive stage-specific team recommendations directly from the team interface.

This makes theorycrafting and optimizing your lineup easier than ever—especially for new players or returning veterans catching up with the changes.

Auto-Raid Optimization

Auto-Raiding has been streamlined:

  • Auto-Raid and Challenge Tickets have been completely removed.
  • You can now auto-raid indefinitely without needing to track or replenish tickets.
  • Additional rewards can be multiplied using in-game resources, improving grind efficiency.

Paired with power-saving mode and bulk dismantle options, farming is faster and more accessible than ever.

What’s Next?

This combat overhaul is just one part of Dragonheir’s broader relaunch initiative. With new systems like Elemental Bonds, role clarity, and deep trait interactions, Dragonheir’s battles are becoming more strategic, rewarding, and dynamic.

More modules and previews are on the way as we approach launch—so stay tuned, and start planning your perfect team!
