Dragonheir’s Hymn of Chess and Blade Heroes

A new chapter is about to unfold in Dragonheir: Silent Gods, and it’s bringing serious firepower with it.

The Hymn of Chess and Blade season introduces 20 Legendary heroes, blending brand-new arrivals with returning favorites. From Corrosion stacking and Frost lockdowns to Aura amplification, Shadow bursts, and high-risk survivability mechanics, these heroes are designed to shake up how we think about team building in Adenthia.

Let’s take a closer look at what’s coming.

A Wave of New Legendary Support Heroes

New Dragonheir supports

In addition to the headline arrivals, 8 new Legendary support heroes join the Hymn of Chess and Blade lineup: Suwalah, Caroux, Alarys, Fathomdown, Ivira, Rashaad, Stegamoffyn, and Perseus.

Some of the above are completely fresh, whilst others are familiar faces. Whilst full skill details are yet to be revealed for most, their introduction alone signals greater roster flexibility. Support heroes are often the glue that holds advanced strategies together, and expanding this category opens the door for new combinations, fresh synergies, and more creative battlefield setups.

If you’ve been craving more options to fine-tune your squad’s core engine, this season is delivering.

Necrotic and Wild

Some of the most intriguing mechanics in this preview revolve around risk and inevitability.

Reaper Raven – Kurvida brings a deadly mix of evasion and control. She has a chance to dodge incoming damage while inflicting Necrotic Plume and Ominous. Enemies under Necrotic Plume suffer additional damage after repeated basic attacks, while Ominous reduces their damage output. Her ultimate introduces Lightning Vulnerability and control effects, layering pressure onto already weakened targets.

Then there’s Lord of Strife – Thorgos, who leans into high-stakes survivability. When taking fatal damage, he rolls a Wild dice. On success, he becomes immune to that damage and gains brief Invincibility. His survivability and damage output scale depending on the dice result. It’s unpredictable. It’s bold. And it’s very on-brand for a Lord of Strife.

Frost, Control, and Battlefield Lockdown

Aethereal

If you enjoy freezing the board and dictating tempo, you’ll want to keep an eye on Lord of Detachment – Aethereal.

Her basic attack deals AOE damage and inflicts Frost. Stack enough Frost, and enemies become Icebound, unable to move. Her ultimate hits all enemies and increases the Cold Damage they take. Control with damage scaling is nasty.

On a different axis of control, Sensual Pleasurer – Pardis randomly applies debuffs such as Recharging Speed Penalty, Healing Prohibition, and Attack Penalty. His ultimate both reduces damage dealt by enemies and provides healing to allies. Giving them disruption and sustain in one package. That’s the kind of versatility that players lookout for.

Aura Mastery

Aura mechanics take center stage in this season.

Song of Morningray – Talethia builds Condensation stacks by manipulating Aura Energy. Every 10 stacks triggers a special attack, and her ultimate enhances her state to continuously restore Aura Energy while allowing her special attack to ignore part of the target’s Defense.

Terpsichorean – Shahla rewards Aura allies when they consume Aura Energy, granting stackable Crit Damage Bonus to herself and the highest Attack ally. She also increases Ultimate Energy through skill casts, fueling aggressive rotations.

Then there’s Loudest Speaker – Blah Blah, who thrives on active aura interactions. He provides buff auras, healing, and shields while also inflicting Attack Penalty and dispelling buffs. His ultimate triggers bonus effects based on the number of active auras on the battlefield. The more layered the field becomes, the stronger his impact.

Shadow and Sustain

Shadow synergy gets a fierce boost.

Scarlet Moon – Saverio launches follow-up attacks when enemies under Bloodmoon Power are struck by a Shadow ally, restoring Shadow Energy for teammates. His ultimate targets the lowest-HP enemy for consecutive strikes and chains into another target after a kill.

Meanwhile, Persister – Seyir deploys a Dominance Domain after his ultimate, becoming invisible while granting Healing Over Time and boosting allies’ attributes based on his Enlightenment and Attack. He blends sustain, scaling buffs, and stealth into one imposing presence.

Corrosion, Shields and more

Masshtur

Poison and decay fans are in for a treat with Venomire Heart – Szecedith.

She efficiently builds Corrosion while inflicting Corruption and Mire Toxin. She deals additional True Damage to enemies with Corruption, and Mire Toxin causes further Corrosion stacking. It’s compounding pressure that spirals fast.

On the defensive front, Tiger-in-Crown – Maashtur provides an HP Shield that only breaks when the ally with the highest Attack takes damage. He supports the team through healing, shields, multiple buffs, and multiple negative effects on enemies.

And rounding out the sustain-heavy designs is Flame Fanatic – Scaarr, who allows allies to restore HP after dealing damage. He can share his buffs, reduce debuff durations on allies, and grant both Damage Bonus and Damage Reduction through his ultimate.

Finally, Eye of Abyss – Ethyreïs focuses on healing amplification. He increases healing received, dispels debuffs, and grants Damage Delay and Damage Reduction. A stabilizing force in chaotic engagements.

A Season Defined by Synergy

What stands out most about Hymn of Chess and Blade isn’t just the number of heroes, it’s the mechanics being brought in as well.

Frost into Icebound. Corrosion into True Damage. Aura Energy into stacking burst and so much more.

These heroes aren’t just standalone powerhouses. They’re catalysts for specific comps.

If this preview is any indication, the upcoming season is set to redefine the stalwarts in many of our teams in Dragonheir: Silent Gods.
