New Damage Type: Aura – Dragonheir: Silent Gods

The new damage type, Aura is one of the three new damage sources coming into Dragonheir: Silent Gods in Season 3, and they are formed from the Radiance Element, alongside Rally Damage Dealers, they will serve as a brand-new synergy capable of dealing huge damage.

Below, I(Neva) have done an in-depth breakdown of the Aura Heroes on the Test Server, including some play-testing.

In this article we are going to break down how Aura works, and show you the new heroes coming to the game.

How Aura Works

These Heroes use Aura Energy during fights. Aura Energy is generated by casting skills.

Once Aura Heroes accumulate 100 Aura Energy, they will enter ‘Blaze State’ where they will no longer gain Aura Energy, instead, some skills will consume Aura Energy to gain additional effects.

Once their Aura Energy expires, they will exit their Blaze State and once again begin generating Energy before entering again.

Some Heroes will be able to boost the rest of the team’s Aura Energy, these are the enablers. While others will purely revolve around damage.

Overall thoughts on Aura:

Overall, Aura heroes at present feel quite underwhelming, it feels like that MAX HP Scaling on their skills doesn’t really do much, although, this may be outweighed by the sheer power of the other damage types coming in Season 3, which in comparison to Corrosion in the state we tested it; everything was mediocre.

Aura feels like it has the POTENTIAL to do some relatively strong Damage, although until it’s been fully play-tested in a live iteration of the game it’s hard to say for sure, as we don’t know if there’s any surprising content coming our way, or what some of the latter bosses will be.

Of the three new damage types however, I remain confident in the fact that Aura WILL be the weaker of the three, but they also have the strongest elemental pairing and support options within their Fire and Radiance options, so maybe they will prevail as one of the better picks for certain areas!
