New Damage Type: Corrosion – Dragonheir: Silent Gods

The new damage type, Corrosion is one of the three new damage sources coming into Dragonheir: Silent Gods in Season 3, and they are formed from the Poison Element, alongside Poison Damage Dealers, they will serve as a brand-new synergy capable of dealing huge damage.

In this article, we are going to break down how Corrosion works and show you the new heroes coming to the game.

How Corrosion Works

Corrosion heroes can inflict a status effect called Corrosion, which lowers enemies’ HP. Corroded HP decreases over time, rather than being deducted immediately, think of it almost as a damage over time effect, that health will gradually drop.

Most Corrosion heroes have skills that will turn x% of the damage into Corroded HP on the target, whilst others, like Rook, will deal additional damage to the target based on the degree of Corrosion that they are suffering with.

The above effect is what makes Corrosion so strong because it feels like you can stack this infinitely, as you can deal Corrosion damage faster than it ticks down, so it’s an ever-ramping effect, ultimately leading to Heroes like Rook doing ridiculous damage as fights progress, as his extra ticks will just grow more and more to that point that you have an ever-flowing amount of damage numbers on your screen! This can be seen showcased in Neva‘s Video at the bottom of the page!

Overall thoughts on Corrosion:

Realistically, Corrosion simply cannot go live in its current state; it is broken, literally.

Corrosion has the capability of dealing more damage than anything in the game, tenfold in most situations, especially in prolonged encounters. In a short amount of testing, and by testing, I mean quite literally throwing gear on the 3 new legendaries, I was able to farm all of the core dungeons in around 12 seconds, without Rook even using his Ultimate skill, he still dealt all of the damage.

But, just in-case it doesn’t get adjusted, Corrosion is the new Meta, you will use them nearly everywhere if you are lucky enough to get Rook from your Season 3 Summons, and you won’t look back, those without simply just won’t be able to keep up with you any more.
