Ice Chaos Shadow Guide – Dragonheir: Silent Gods

The Ice Chaos Shadow Boss becomes active during Month 2 of Dragonheir: Silent Gods Season 3 as part of the month-long event to acquire the legendary Hero, Aladiah.

The Boss will receive 100% more damage from Necrosis sources, so utilizing a team based on this is going to be key to achieving the maximum damage thresholds.

BATTLE SKILL:

Frostfall

Deals Cold Damage to enemies within range, with a 100% chance of inflicting Frost for 5.0s.

ULTIMATE SKILL:

Frost Reign:

Grants 25% Attack Up to all Frost allies for 10.0s. Then releases frozen air to deal Cold Damage to enemies within range, with a 100% chance of inflicting Frost for 10.0s.

PASSIVE SKILL 1:

When the monster is alive, extend the duration of Frost granted by allies by 5.0s. Targets under Frost will now explode in their current position every 1s, dealing Cold Damage to enemies within range. 

PASSIVE SKILL 2:

Immune to all Control Effects

PASSIVE SKILL 3:

The hero gains stackable Total Damage Bonus permanently each time they release their ultimate skill. (Increases damage dealt by 200% for every stack. This effect is unstoppable, undispellable and permanent).

As you may have noticed, this boss is a 1:1 replica of Legendary Frost Hero, Hochadir, and those familiar with his skills will know that he is only able to attack targets within his range, allowing you to bring a full-ranged team, with 1 tank to take all of the damage on their own.

However, for many players who were lucky enough to pull some of the new Shadow Legendaries, including Ozul and Aspalta, you may want to bring a melee-based composition for this… well, the boss does hit incredibly hard, but so do they when it comes to burst damage, so it is completely viable.

So, if you want to bring a melee team, do bear in mind that you are very very unlikely to survive the entire 5-minute run, but that doesn’t mean you are unable to reach 22mil+ damage, in my testing on the test server ahead of the launch I was able to push a large amount of damage with melee heroes, and as such will be using that on the live server when this event goes live.

The base of both teams is exactly the same, you will want 1 tank that is able to comfortably survive the boss, whilst ideally bringing an ATK Penalty debuff too, you will also want 1 Healer to help keep the tank (and any melee alive) – then it’s time for the DPS options.

Ranged DPS can stand at the very back of the area and take absolutely no damage from this fight unless your tank dies and the boss runs over, this also applies to your healer – so the ‘easiest’ method for this boss will be utilizing 3 ranged damage dealers, 1 tank and 1 healer.

MAIN THINGS TO REMEMBER:

• ATK Penalty.
• Melee DPS will NOT survive the entire fight without sacrificing large amounts of damage.
• 1 Healer and 1 Tank will be necessary.

Picking and choosing your team is subjective to every account, however, we’re going to cover a range of different options you could consider bringing into this fight, as well as highlighting in our opinion; the best options.

There are several viable tanks for this fight, however, the healing options for Lightning and Necrosis are limited, however, there are a few unsung heroes who don’t see enough use that will be coming out to play!

In terms of Damage options, Summon heroes are relatively underwhelming in terms of damage output, but there are a few epics that are frequently used in the last two seasons of Dragonheir that can fill your team!

Shadow Heroes can deal some really nice damage, however, the main sources of Shadow Damage come from melee heroes, so as mentioned above, this can work – but you will not be able to survive as long, especially in the early weeks!
