Banner lords are a well-rounded faction that can do a bit of everything well but have few champions who are best in class. Taras and Marichka are the big exception here, being the most powerful duo in the game who will annihilate their Faction Wars stages. For players without the duo though, there are usually several decent options for every role.

For normal Faction Wars, epics will do the hard lifting. Archmage Hellmut from Doom Tower Normal brings fantastic control, and top tier epics like Stag Knight and Ursala the Mourner will flesh out your teams well. Free login legendaries are common in this faction, so you might have one or more of these too.

For hard faction wars, the danger is that the existence of the OP champs of this faction might push it to be very punishing. Androc, Marichka and Acelin all bring huge survivability to your teams, and you might be stretched to survive if you don’t own any of them. Quintus from Live Arena can carry the damage, so look into champions who bring support and control.
