Blessings Tier List

Once you have upgraded your champion to Rank 6, you’ve fully ascended them and you get yourself a matching Champion Soul, you have the opportunity to Awaken your champion depending on the quality of the Soul. Once Awakened, you will be able to select a single Blessing which gives your champion unique effects in battle. You won’t be able to select a Blessing of a higher rarity than your champion (i.e. an epic champion cannot choose a legendary Blessing) but they can select a lower rarity. There are currently 30 Blessings split across 5 Divinities and choosing the right Blessing for your champion is important.

After testing the Blessings, we have created this Tier List to help you choose the right Blessing for your champion and how you will use them.

A Note on Blessing Exclusivity

Spacer

Certain blessings may rank highly but you should take note as to whether your team needs a champion with more than one copy. We recommend that you limit your team to include only one of the following blessings only:

  1. Cruelty = Adding more champions will not increase the cap of this effect, only help you reach it slightly faster. More than 1 copy is usually unneccessary.
  2. Brimstone = You can only place one Brimstone debuff at a time, and lower tier copies risk placing weaker (i.e. non-protected) versions. Recommended to only use 1 high level copy where possible.
  3. Intimidating / Commanding Presence = Only 1 aura increasing effect will work in your team. You might use multiple champions with this blessing to ensure you have it for the Live Arena draft, but any extra copies after the draft won’t do anything. Note: it does not have to be the champion with the aura that has this Blessing; it can be run on any champion in the team.

Dungeons and Bosses Blessing Tier List

Arena Blessing Tier List

Light Blessings

Spacer

Indomitable Spirit – Rare

General: D Tier Arena: D Tier

Has a 5% chance of blocking any [Stun], [Sleep], [Fear], [True Fear], [Freeze], and [Provoke] debuffs whenever an enemy tries to place them on this Champions. (1 Turn Cooldown).
Level 3: 10% Chance
Level 5: 15% Chance
Level 6: 30% Chance

Our Rating Breakdown

The low chance for this Blessing to trigger makes it underpowered compared to other options.

Miracle Heal – Rare

General: C Tier Arena: D Tier

miracle_heal

Has a 50% chance of restoring a portion of any destroyed MAX HP whenever this champion heals themselves or an ally. The amount of HP restored is equal to 10% percentage of the heal.
Level 3: 75% Chance to restore 15% of the heal
Level 5: 100% Chance to restore 20% of the heal
Level 6: 100% Chance to restore 30% of the heal

Our Rating Breakdown

At 5 Star, Miracle Heal becomes a powerful tool in Sand Devil (e.g. on Godseeker Aniri) but it only restores based on healing that restores HP; any healing that goes above your MAX HP does not activate Miracle Heal, which significantly reduces its usefulness.

Iron Will – Epic

General: C Tier Arena: D Tier

Decreases the damage this Champion receives according o the number of debuffs on them. Does not decrease the damage from [Poison], [HP Burn] and [Bomb] debuffs.
Level 1: 0.5% per debuff (Max 5%)
Level 3: 1% per debuff (Max 10%)
Level 5: 1.5% per debuff (Max 15%)
Level 6: 2% per debuff (Max 20%)

Our Rating Breakdown

This Blessing gives a very low amount of damage reduction and, if you have sustained enough debuffs to even notice its effect, you are probably already doomed.

Heavencast – Epic

General: B Tier Arena: B Tier

heavencast

Increases the damage inflicted by this Champion according to the number of buffs on them. Doesn’t increase the damage from [Poison], [HP Burn], and [Bomb] debuffs.
Level 1: 0.5% per buff (Max 5%)
Level 3: 1% per buff (Max 10%)
Level 5: 1.5% per buff (Max 15%)
Level 6: 2% per buff (Max 20%)

Our Rating Breakdown

This is the most general damage Blessing: it’s easy to trigger, gives a small but decent damage boost, and it works for all types of nuker (ATK, DEF, and HP). Most champions have stronger Blessing options, but this one is always decent.

Intimidating Presence – Legendary

General: B Tier Arena: S Tier

intimidating_presence

Strengthens your team’s Aura and weakens the enemy team’s Aura. (Will overwrite Commanding Presence Blessing if on same team)
Level 1: 2.5% Boost / 5% Weaken
Level 3: 7.5% Boost / 10% Weaken
Level 5: 15% Boost / 20% Weaken
Level 6: 35% Boost / 20% Weaken

Our Rating Breakdown

A strict upgrade over the epic Commanding Prescence Blessing, this Blessing is crucial for speed teams in Arena where every single point of speed can potentially be the difference between going before your enemy or not. Keep in mind that the benefits are quite weighted towards 5 and 6 stars though.

Lightning Cage – Legendary

General: C Tier Arena: S Tier

Whenever an enemy receives a buff or has their Turn Meter filled, places one [Lightning Orb] stack on this Champion. [Lightning Orb]’s protect one random buff from being removed, stolen or transferred – removing the Orb instead. When this champion deals damage with 3 [Lightning Orb]’s, deal bonus damage to the enemy equal to their Max HP.
Level 1: 50% Chance to protect / 2% Max HP Champions / 1% Max HP Boss
Level 3: Turn meter fill grants Orb
Level 5: 75% Chance to protect
Level 6: 5% Max HP Champions / 2.5% Max HP Boss

Our Rating Breakdown

Lighting Cage sounds like it might do a lot of damage, but it doesn’t. Against bosses, the extra buff and buff protection can be very useful for building a Hydra Mischief Tank. In Arena, this is one of the few Blessings that works well at low Awakening levels and it is incredibly useful for protecting high priority buffs (such as Stoneskin or Block Debuffs).

Dark Blessings

Spacer

Dark Resolve – Rare

General: C Tier Arena: C Tier

Increases the damage inflicted by this Champion according to the number of dead allies on their team. Does not increase [Poison], [HP Burn], and [Bomb] damage.
Level 1: 1% per dead ally
Level 3: 1.5% per dead ally
Level 5: 2.5% per dead ally
Level 6: 5% per dead ally

Our Rating Breakdown

There are a few niche Arena/Siege champions (e.g. Kytis, Nais) that can catch people off-guard after the rest of their team dies, and this Blessing further empowers that strategy. It’s a decent damage boost for solo strategies in PvE as well, but won’t help you outside of those niche scenarios.

Phantom Touch – Rare

General: A Tier Arena: B Tier

phantom_touch

Has a 15% chance of inflicting Bonus Damage to one enemy whenever this champion hits enemy targets (applies to one target only) (1 turn cooldown). Multiplier: 3.5*ATK ignoring 30% of the Target’s Defence.
Level 3: 30% Chance
Level 5: 75% Chance
Level 6: 100% Chance / 35% Chance of dealing a second Phantom Touch Attack

Our Rating Breakdown

This will be default choice for nearly all rare champions and many epic damage dealers, giving a moderate single-target damage bonus. It’s not ideal for HP or DEF-based damage dealers as the damage only scales off ATK. Note: the extra damage procs will each take a point off the Fire Knight’s shield, making it incredibly strong for that boss fight.

Cruelty – Epic

General: S Tier Arena: C Tier

cruelty

Whenever this champion hits an enemy, decreases their DEF until the end of the round. This effect does not stack meaning multiple cruelty blessings will decrease def together but only to the maximum of their awakening rank.
Level 1: 1% per hit (10% champions max / 5% boss max)
Level 3: 1% per hit (20% champions max / 10% boss max)
Level 5: 2% per hit (30% champions max / 15% boss max)
Level 6: 4% per hit (40% champions max / 20% boss max)

Our Rating Breakdown

Reducing a target’s defense will give a sizeable damage boost to your whole team—boosting not just your main damage dealers but things like Warmaster damage as well. This Blessing takes time to ramp up, making it weaker in quick fights like Arena but amazing against long fights like the Clan Bosses. (Note: running multiple champs with this Blessing won’t increase the maximum cap, it will just help you reach the cap more quickly.)

Lethal Dose – Epic

General: D Tier Arena: A Tier

Increases the damage enemies receive from [Poison] debuffs placed by this champion in the Arena.
Level 1: 50% Damage
Level 3: 100% Damage
Level 5: 200% Damage
Level 6: Also ignores 35% of the target’s Resistance

Our Rating Breakdown

This Blessing has been buffed to work in Siege, meaning it now gives a massive damage boost to Poison in all PvP modes. (Note: this Blessing still does absolutely nothing outside of Arena and Siege.) This effect is actually very powerful, but it’s hampered by the fact that there are no top tier Poisoners for Arena in the current meta. It’s one to watch in the future though.

Temporal Chains – Legendary

General: C Tier Arena: A Tier

Decreases each enemy’s SPD for each active buff they are under, except for buffs placed at the start of the Round.
Level 1: -2% speed per buff (capped at 6%)
Level 3: -3% speed per buff (capped at 9%)
Level 5: -5% speed per buff (capped at 15%)
Level 6: Decreases turn meter of all enemies by 15% when third active buff placed

Our Rating Breakdown

Speed is the best stat in Raid: Shadow Legends and Temporal Chains helps you reduce its effectiveness for your opponents. This is at its best in Arena, since in other content your enemies will not have many buffs. At level 6 it gets a big power boost—but watch out for Marius the Gallant who will counterattack due to his passive when this triggers!

Ward of the Fallen – Legendary

General: B Tier Arena: A Tier

Starts each round with 1 [Bone Armor]. [Bone Armor] decreases the damage you take from enemies then is consumed. This can stack up to 3 times. [Bone Armor] stacks are added when dealing damage equal to the number of dead allies at high awakening.
Level 1: -20% Damage received
Level 3: Starts round with 2 stacks
Level 5: -30% Damage Received
Level 6: Starts round with 3 stacks and stacks deal bonus damage

Our Rating Breakdown

This is an amazing Blessing which only reaches its true potential at rank 6, since only then can you replenish your Bone Armor stacks. This is the go-to choice for any Rotos or Taras player–this damage reduction works alongside their passives to make them even harder to take down. At rank 6 this also becomes incredible for solo champions in dungeon content, providing 30% damage reduction and extra damage (but once again it’s not very useful at lower ranks).

War Blessings

Spacer

Hero Soul – Rare

General: B Tier Arena: D Tier

Increases the damage inflicted to Bosses and their minions according to the number of living enemies.
Level 1: +0.5% damage
Level 3: +1% damage
Level 5: +1.5% damage
Level 6: +3% damage

Our Rating Breakdown

This only works when fighting bosses, meaning it does nothing in Arena or Siege. It’s a small but consistent damage boost against Hydra and a big damage boost against the Spider dungeon, so it’s worth considering on a Hard Spider solo champion like Arix.

Faultless Defense – Rare

General: C Tier Arena: D Tier

Whenever an enemy attacks an ally under a [Increase DEF] placed by this Champion, reflects a portion of the damage back to the attacker.
Level 1: 3% reflected
Level 3: 6% reflected
Level 5: 9% reflected
Level 6: 15% reflected

Our Rating Breakdown

Although the reflected damage from this Blessing is always very low, it’s extremely useful against the Fire Knight boss and any Sintranos stages that he appears on: each source of reflected damage (no matter how small) will take a point off his shield counter. Note: this will not reflect any damage that is absorbed by Shield buffs, or if the ally is at 1 HP with Unkillable.

Commanding Presence – Epic

General: B Tier Arena: B Tier

Strengthens your team’s aura (will be replaced if Intimidating Presence is active in team)
Level 1: 2.5% boost
Level 3: 7.5% boost
Level 5: 15% boost
Level 6: 35% boost

Our Rating Breakdown

A budget version of the legendary Intimidating Prescence Blessing, this is a minor stat boost for your teams which is always good but never game-changing—with the exception of SPD auras in arena, where every point of SPD can count. A legendary or mythical champion should always choose Intimidating Prescence instead.

Chainbreaker – Epic

General: C Tier Arena: B Tier

At the start of this champion’s turn, has a chance of removing any [Stun], [Freeze], [Sleep], [Provoke], [Fear], [True Fear], or [Petrification] debuffs placed on this champion.
Level 1: 10% Chance
Level 3: 15% Chance
Level 5: 20% Chance to fill turn meter by 20% when hit
Level 6: 25% Chance / 40% chance to fill turn meter by 20% when hit

Our Rating Breakdown

A niche Blessing which has gained value recently with the dominance of CC champions in Arena and the new Chimera Clan Boss. The chance to activate is quite low, but it can potentially change the course of a fight. Needs a high awakening level and a very tanky champion (e.g. Nais) to get the most use out of it.

Life Harvest – Legendary

General: D Tier Arena: A Tier

Destroys enemies MAX HP by a certain amount when they are revived (Caps at 60%). Will also boost this champion’s turn meter for each enemy revived after awakened to rank 3.
Level 1: 10% MAX HP Destroyed
Level 3: 20% MAX HP Destroyed / 10% turn meter filled
Level 5: 30% MAX HP Destroyed / 20% turn meter filled
Level 6: 40% MAX HP Destroyed / 30% turn meter filled

Our Rating Breakdown

Revivers are endemic in Arena and this blessing is a good way to counter them. Not only do you gain significant turn meter at higher ranks, you also make re-killing your Arena foes significantly easier with huge MAX HP destruction. Outside of Arena though, it’s not worth using.

Soul Reap – Legendary

General: A Tier Arena: A Tier

Whenever this champion hits an enemy target and decreases their HP to a certain threshold, a Reaper will appear and deal damage equal to the target’s remaining HP. This attack will apply to any target that reaches the threshold. The Reaper ignores enemy defence as well as damage reduction skills, effects and buffs (excluding bosses).
Level 1: 4% Threshold
Level 3: 8% Threshold
Level 5: 14% Threshold / 50% chance to [True Fear] Level 6: 20% Threshold / 100% chance to [True Fear]

Our Rating Breakdown

On paper this Blessing sounds OP, but it has some limitations. In Dungeon and Boss content, Enemy MAX HP damage is capped at 10%, but with the prevalence of champions like Gnut and Marius, sometimes 10% is all you need to secure a speed run. It’s a good damage Blessing for Arena too, where it can secure the kill on low health enemies.

Chaos Blessings

Spacer

Emergency Heal – Rare

General: A Tier Arena: C Tier

Heals this Champion whenever a [Shield] buff placed on them expires, is removed or is broken by an enemy attack.
Level 1: 3% heal max hp of champ
Level 3: 6% heal max hp of champ
Level 5: 9% heal max hp of champ
Level 6: 15% heal max hp of champ

Our Rating Breakdown

This is a strong Rare Blessing for any champion wearing a Bloodshield accessory: it does not matter how big your Shield buff is, so long as you have one. Mostly useful for solo champions and keeping champions alive in Dungeon and Boss progression.

Survival Insinct – Rare

General: B Tier Arena: B Tier

Partially fills this Champion’s turn meter whenever a debuff is placed, spread, or transferred onto them. Occurs once per enemy turn.
Level 1: 5% Turn Meter Fill
Level 3: 7% Turn Meter Fill
Level 5: 10% Turn Meter Fill
Level 6: 10% Turn Meter Fill / Can occur multiple times

Our Rating Breakdown

This is a strong choice for any rare support champion, since more turn meter is nearly always helpful. (Note: don’t use it if you’re using a specifically speed-tuned team though, e.g. for Demon Lord). This is particularly good on any support who can remove debuffs. An unexciting but otherwise solid option.

Crushing Rend – Epic

General: S Tier Arena: C Tier

crushing_rend

Ignores the enemy defence equal to the enemy champion level. Can only ignore once per round up until rank 6 awakening.
Level 1: 1% Ignore Def for every 50 levels
Level 3: 1% Ignore Def for every 40 levels
Level 5: 1% Ignore Def for every 25 levels
Level 6: 1% Ignore Def for every 10 levels / Applies on each hit

Our Rating Breakdown

Possibly the best Blessing in the game for Dungeon and Bosses where opponents’ levels can reach as high as 350: at 6 stars, this would give you as much ignore defence as a 6-piece set of Merciless gear. There are 2 downsides to be aware of: firstly, ignore defence does nothing if it is stacked beyond 100% (i.e. 120% ignore defence is no better than 100%); secondly, a 6 star soul is essential for this Blessing for most Boss fights (i.e. if your damage dealer will take more than 1-2 turns). In Arena, due to champion levels being capped at 60, you can at most reach 6% ignore defence making it less desirable.

Incinerate – Epic

General: D Tier Arena: S Tier

Increases the damage inflicted by [HP Burn] debuffs placed by this champion in the arena. Also decreases enemy turn meter equal to the amount of HP Burn damage dealt at high awakening.
Level 1: +25% Burn damage
Level 3: +50% Burn damage
Level 5: +100% Burn damage
Level 6: Decrease Turn Meter equal to HP Burn %

Our Rating Breakdown

This Blessing is a game-changer for top tier Arena HP Burn activation champions such as Gizmak the Terrible, allowing them to deal double damage with their Burns. This is particularly useful for destroying Stoneskin buffs, since Stoneskin takes extra damage from Burns. Unfortunately, this Blessing does not work outside of Arena and Siege (note: Siege was added to this Blessing in a recent buff!).

Polymorph – Legendary

General: D Tier Arena: S Tier

Has a chance of placing a [Sheep] debuff on enemy Champions for 2 turns whenever they place debuffs on this champion, or when enemy removes or steals buffs. Occurs one per turn and cannot be blocked nor placed on bosses. Sheep’d champions will lose their skills, have their speed set to 150 and will remain in Sheep until they activate from the Sheep attack or the debuff expires. When they return, they will be 50% HP and will lose all their previous buffs.
Level 1: 5% Chance
Level 3: 10% Chance
Level 5: 15% Chance
Level 6: 20% Chance / No Longer Requires Accuracy

Our Rating Breakdown

The scourge of Arena, this Blessing will frustrate you as you climb the ladders. New sets such as Pinpoint and Feral–and the new Wand of Submission Relic–have helped to counter it, but it remains a top tier pick. Note: this Blessing becomes useful on a much wider range of champions at 6 stars, since it no longer requires ACC at that rank. Against Dungeon enemies or Bosses, you will generally prefer not to select this blessing as it is more likely to slow you down than help you win fights.

Brimstone – Legendary

General: S Tier Arena: C Tier

brimstone

Whenever this champion attacks, each hit has a chance to place a [Smite] debuff for 2 turns. [Smite] debuffs deal 25% of the enemy’s max hp when they use an Active Skill and a further 5% to all other enemies on the battle field. [Smite] can only be placed on one enemy at a single time (4 turn Cooldown)
Level 1: 15% Chance
Level 3: 30% Chance
Level 5: 60% Chance / Debuff is Protected
Level 6: 100% Chance / Debuff is Protected and cannot resist

Our Rating Breakdown

A brilliant Blessing against nearly every boss in the game–and it is just as powerful for a brand-new player as it is for veterans, since it doesn’t scale off your gear. At rank 5 it becomes Protected, which is great against bosses who can remove debuffs, such as the Sand Devil or the Iron Twins. At rank 6 it becomes irresistible, which lets it be used by champions who don’t build ACC. Sadly, it is much less useful in arena: it can provide some minor damage but is outclassed by many other Blessings.

Harmony Blessings

Spacer

Nourish – Rare

General: B Tier Arena: C Tier

Increases the value of the heal granted by [Continuous Heal] buffs placed by this Champion.
Each [Continuous Heal] buff placed by this Champion restores a portion of the target’s destroyed MAX HP.
Level 1: 5% Heal Increase, 5% Restore Destroyed MAX HP
Level 3: 10% Heal Increase, 10% Restore Destroyed MAX HP
Level 5: 15% Heal Increase, 15% Restore Destroyed MAX HP
Level 6: 30% Heal Increase, 30% Restore Destroyed MAX HP

Our Rating Breakdown

Nourish not only restores destroyed MAX HP like the Miracle Heal Blessing but also boosts the power of your Continuous Heals as well, making it much more useful overall. Worth considering for any champion who provides many Continuous Heal buffs, such as Senna.

Nature’s Bounty – Rare

General: B Tier Arena: D Tier

Whenever this Champion applies a 2.5% [Poison] debuff, a 25% [Decrease ATK] debuff, a 30% [Decrease DEF] debuff, a 15% [Decrease SPD] debuff, a 25% [Decrease ACC] debuff, a 50% [Heal Reduction] debuff, a 15% [Weaken] debuff, a [Fear] debuff, a 15% [Decrase C.DMG] debuff, a 15% [Decrease C. RATE] debuff, or a 25% [Decrease RES] debuff, has a chance to place a greater version of this debuff (for example a 50% [Decrease RES] debuff instead of a 25% [Decrease RES] debuff.)
Level 1: 15% chance to place a greater version of debuff.
Level 3: 30% chance to place a greater version of debuff.
Level 5: 45% chance to place a greater version of debuff.
Level 6: 60% chance to place a greater version of debuff.

Our Rating Breakdown

This is a great Blessing for many rare debuffers, who are usually limited to the small versions of various debuffs–but it is useless for all legendaries and mythicals and even most epics. This is particularly strong for early progression against Clan Bosses for champions who can reliably place the small verison of Poison, such as Kael, and can be a strong alternative to the Phantom Touch Blessing.

Neutralize – Epic

General: C Tier Arena: D Tier

Has a chance to place debuffs on weak hits when attacking enemies under [Poison Cloud] buffs.
Level 1: 10% chance.
Level 3: 20% chance.
Level 5: 40% chance.
Level 6: 60% chance.

Our Rating Breakdown

This Blessing is incredibly niche, since only the Hydra Clan Boss and Yncensa can place the Poison Cloud buff in the first place. This is only worth considering on dedicated HP Burners in Hydra, since HP Burn disables the effects of Poison Cloud; there is little value in placing Decrease Defence, for example, if your damage dealer will still be weak hitting.

Nature’s Wrath – Epic

General: S Tier Arena: B Tier

Increases the damage inflicted by this Champion for every debuff they successfully place, except debuffs placed by Gear Sets.
Level 1: Damage increased by 2% (Up to 6%).
Level 3: Damage increased by 2% (Up to 8%).
Level 5: Damage increased by 3% (Up to 15%).
Level 6: Damage increased by 5% (Up to 30%).

Our Rating Breakdown

An incredibly strong Blessing for any damage dealer that places debuffs, and it has good value at every Awakening level. This can even outclass Crushing Rend on champions who have a significant amount of ignore defence baked into their kits (e.g. Trunda). It’s decent in Arena too but takes time to ramp up, so other options might be stronger.

Cracking Roots – Legendary

General: D Tier Arena: B Tier

Increases the damage inflicted by this Champion to [Stone Skin] HP.
Level 1: 20% Damage Increase
Level 3: 40% Damage Increase
Level 5: 60% Damage Increase
Level 6: 100% Damage Increase

Our Rating Breakdown

A niche Blessing for Arena that might become a worthwhile pick in the future thanks to the new Stonecleaver set–we will update the Tier List if the meta does change. You will also need an extremely strong damage dealer (e.g. Siegfrund or Hegemon) to consider breaking Stoneskin in the first place. For Bosses and Dungeons, this Blessing is useless, since they don’t have Stoneskin gear.

Harmonic Impulse – Legendary

General: C Tier Arena: C Tier

Fills this Champion’s Turn Meter whenever they lose their turn because of a [Fear] or [True Fear] debuff.
Also decreases the cooldown of the skill they attempted to use whenever their turn is lost due to a [True Fear] debuff.
Level 1: Cooldown Decreased by 1 Turn, 10% Turn Meter Fill.
Level 3: Cooldown Decreased by 1 Turn, 15% Turn Meter Fill.
Level 5: Cooldown Decreased by 2 Turns, 25% Turn Meter Fill.
Level 6: Fully resets the cooldown of attempted skill, 50% Turn Meter Fill.

Our Rating Breakdown

This is another weirdly niche Blessing, which is only useful against the Head of Torment in Hydra Clan Boss if you are lacking Perfect Veil; taking this Blessing is very much a last resort. There have been a lot of new top tier champions in Arena with True Fear (e.g. Queen of Hearts, Embrys the Anomaly) so this might break into the meta for a counter-pick champion, but it’s too niche to be worth using in general.
