Protection Artifact Set

The Protection set is a 9-piece variable artifact set that grants a variety of things. You can stack up to 9 pieces for +40 RES, +15% HP, +32% SPD, 25% chance of Protected buffs, 50% chance of Protected buffs, 75% chance of Protected buffs + 5% dmg per buff. Useful on any champion that places key buffs, but mostly used on support type heroes.

This set can only be acquired from the Hydra Clan Boss. This has become one of the best sets in the entire game after its buff, with many champions gladly sacrificing raw SPD for the chance to protect their buffs, and with the 9-piece bonus giving significant and very consistent damage boosts to teams across all areas of the game. You can still use strong individual pieces as off-set gear when stats matter more than set bonuses.

Like most variable sets, Protection is quite unique. Some of the bases stats can be gathered from other sets but not the full compliment that this set provides. A full set of this is easier to get hold of than other variable sets, as long as you are consistent. It will replace some of your more basic gear like Life once you gain access to this set.
