Claidna Overview

Em’bark’ing on her quest to keep the whispering trees of Mistwood protected, this monarch startles any enemies lost in the woods! Claidna is a Void Legendary joining the Sylvan watchers in patch 7.00 alongside the Razelvarg fusion.

The versatility of Claidna’s skillset is advantageous, providing crucial buffs and debuffs to tackle some of Raids toughest encounters. Starting with her default ability, she has a 75% chance to place a sleep Debuff for 1 turn, which is a vital debuff for the Sand Devils Necropolis. Against this boss, Debuff ‘placement’ is necessary to avoid increasing the slumber counters, which she places two of! This coincides well with her A3 which can open to opportunity to create revive on death compositions.

Another stand out area for her skills is the Hydra boss, which aside from her A1 holds a lot of value. Her A2 has a 100% chance of placing a 30% decrease speed debuff (To slow down the Hydra heads), and a Leech debuff to heal your team (With a 20% heal on top of this!) Due to the fact its a placement skill, this can penetrate through poison cloud to mitigate chances of a bad run. Claidna’s A3 is great to block incoming debuffs, and a revive on death (which although may not be used a tonne) can stack well when paired with Pythion‘s passive. The passive skill of this champion is unique, granting a 50% chance to block incoming damage although this will only apply to herself and for the first attack so it has niche usage.

Overall Claidna can be universally useful for most areas in Raid, bringing great buffs and debuffs for many encounters, and will for sure be a stand out choice for the Sylvan Watchers faction wars.

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
