Kroz Wallbreaker Overview

Kroz is a Bomb focused damage and control champion who excels in PvP and wave content, using affinity friendly Bomb placement, Turn Meter boosts, and detonation control to counter Stoneskin teams and lock enemies down, but offers limited value outside Bomb focused scenarios.

The core combo in his kit is to place 2 Bombs with his A2 and gaining 25% Turn Meter per enemy affected by Bombs, boosting him towards his A3 which reduces those Bombs detonation timers by 1 turn to leave them primed to explode as soon as your enemies take their turn. Bombs ignore 100% DEF, are affected by Weaken and Strengthen, and deal 4x damage to champions with the Stoneskin buff (being one of the strongest counters to that buff/set).

There are a couple of unique things happening with Kroz. Firstly, his A2 is not an attack, making him the first affinity-friendly Bomb placement champion (though his A3 is an attack and can weak hit, meaning you can fail to decrease their countdown, potentially giving the enemy time to kill you first or to remove the Bombs). Secondly, he should gain Turn Meter on his A2 even if other champions have placed Bombs and he has failed to, giving him a decent combo with other Bomb champions; likewise, his A3 can reduce the detonation timers of all Bombs, making him a strong follow-up to other Bomb champions.

His passive ties in with these Bomb interactions, giving all allies Turn Meter when Bombs detonate, and giving him a chance for an Instant Turn whenever anyone dies from a Bomb. He also brings Block Active Skills for 2 turns on a 3 turn cooldown on his A3, providing very strong CC capabilities, particularly against Mythical champions since it prevents them from Metamorphing.

Overall, we expect Kroz to be extremely useful in all PvP content (much like former fusion Gnishak) due to the 4x boosted damage Bombs deal to champions with the Stoneskin buff. His affinity-friendly Bomb placement should make him particularly versatile. He will also be incredibly strong in Faction Wars and any other wave-based content, bringing strong damage and control. Like other Bomb champions, he will likely be unimpressive outside of these areas: Bomb champions typically have high burst damage, but lower sustained damage compared to traditional damage dealers.

Arena Roles

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
