Thayla Hammerhorn Overview

Thayla Hammerhorn is a versatile support who combines buff removal, debuffs, healing, crowd control, and full team revival, while her passive amplifies enemy damage taken and reduces their damage dealt, making her a strong option across both PvE and PvP progression.

This is an initial review of Thayla. Ratings are subject to change following further playtesting.

Thayla Hammerhorn brings a strong mix of debuffs, team sustain, control and revival for a variety of encounters. Her A1 places Block Buffs while healing the entire team, giving her useful support even through her basic attack.

Her A2 attacks all enemies twice, with the first hit capable of stripping all enemy buffs before the second places Decrease DEF and Decrease SPD. This makes Thayla great for weakening and slowing enemies like Hydra while setting them up to take more damage from your team.

Her revival skill can bring all fallen allies back with 50% HP and Turn Meter, before protecting the team with Increase DEF and boosting their speed with Increase SPD. She also places Stun on all enemies, and since the skill can be used without any dead allies, it remains valuable as a powerful control and support ability where you need it.

Thayla’s passive ties everything together, causing enemies under any debuff placed by her to receive 15% more damage while dealing 15% less damage. This gives her excellent synergy with her own debuffs, helping your team hit harder while reducing the pressure from enemies.

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.

For The Herd [P]

Enemies under any debuff placed by this Champion receive 15% more damage and deal 15% less damage. If there are multiple Champions on the team with this skill, only one will activate. This skill will not activate on duplicate copies of this Champion, if this particular Champion is dead.
