Titus Blackplume Fusion: Must Get or Future Nerf?

RAID: Shadow Legends’ latest fusion is here, and if early testing is anything to go by, Titus Blackplume might be one of the most powerful champions we’ve seen in a long time — if they don’t nerf him first…

After putting him through his paces in Clan Boss and Hydra, the verdict is clear: he’s in that elite tier of damage-dealing, shield-scaling monsters that can transform your account. But is it too good to last?

Here’s a full breakdown of why Titus is dominating, where he’s shining, and why Plarium might have to walk back their “no nerf” promise.

Why Titus Blackplume Is So Powerful

Titus brings a kit that feels almost tailor-made for Clan Boss, Hydra, and any high-damage content. His A1 applies Block Active Skills, which jumps to a 60% chance when booked — and it cannot be resisted if he's under a shield. Combine that with the fact that allies who counterattack or use instant skills also have that 40% chance to apply Block Active Skills, and you’ve got huge control potential, especially in Arena or Hydra.

The Shield Damage Scaling A2

But what truly breaks him is his A2:

  • Always crits if he has a shield.
  • Gains bonus damage based on the size of his shield.
  • Removes all debuffs if the target dies.
  • Places Provoke on all enemies if the target survives — again, cannot be resisted if he's shielded.

If this sounds familiar, it's because it's reminiscent of the old Corpulent Cadaver shield-shenanigans, but taken to another level. Plarium has confirmed they don't intend to nerf Titus… yet.

Clan Boss Testing – One-Key Damage Monster

Hades tested Titus in a classic Wixwell team, but with minimal optimization — no speed-tuning, just raw stats — and still achieved 650 million damage in Ultra-Nightmare Clan Boss. With Reflex gear to cycle that A2 faster and buff extenders keeping shields active, Titus delivered colossal hits upwards of 7 million per strike, contributing over 370 million of the team's total damage himself.

Quick Battle AI? No Problem

Even running the AI-controlled Quick Battle, the team easily cleared over 700 million damage, proving that Titus isn't just strong with manual play — he's AI-friendly too.

Hydra Testing – Provokes, Cleanses, and Huge Smacks

On to Hydra, and Titus continues to impress:

  • His Provoke is a game-changer for Head of Decay.
  • His shield scaling applies massive single-target damage, even without ideal damage boosters like Weaken or Drop Defense.
  • His passive stacks more damage the more hits your team takes.

With a relatively basic buff extender team and Duchess for protection, Hades achieved consistent 4 million+ hits, all while keeping Hydra under control — and that’s without perfect speed-tuning or a fully min-maxed comp.

The Catch: Risk of a Future Nerf

Despite Plarium's current stance that Titus is "working as intended," Hades raised the concern directly with the developers: the community is already seeing this champion as a must-pick, near-broken addition to the game. It wouldn’t be the first time a champion got stealth-nerfed after fusion hype died down.
Bottom Line: Should You Go for the Fusion?

If you care about:

  • High-end Clan Boss damage
  • Hydra progression and leaderboard potential
  • Future Chimera dominance
  • Account flexibility for shield-based comps

Titus Blackplume is a must-get. But — and it’s a big but — go in knowing there’s a real possibility of adjustments down the line. For now though? He’s insane value.

Final Thoughts

Titus Blackplume is shaping up to be one of the strongest fusion champions RAID has offered in years — if not ever — for Clan Boss, Hydra, and PvE shield-based strategies. Whether you're a mid-game player looking for that damage boost or a late-game competitor chasing Hydra top spots, this fusion is worth the grind.

Just don’t be surprised if we’re all talking about a balance patch in the near future.
