What is Invokers: Titan Legacy?

A new hero collector RPG has caught our attention at HH Gaming, and its roots make it particularly interesting for RAID: Shadow Legends players.

Invokers: Titan Legacy is a free-to-play Action RPG developed by HitZone Games. The studio includes veteran developers with direct experience working on RAID: Shadow Legends and other Plarium titles.

That connection is clear once you start poking around Invokers on a deeper level.

Its got everything you would expect from a game in this genre. You collect characters, build teams, farm equipment, tackle bosses, summon new characters, compete in Arena, Events and Tournaments, and work through a long account progression system.

But there is one major difference. Invokers replaces RAID’s turn-based combat with real-time Action RPG battles.

That combination has grabbed our attention, so HH Gaming will be diving into Invokers: Titan Legacy and covering the game as we progress through it.

What Is Invokers: Titan Legacy?

Invokers: Titan Legacy describes itself as a fantasy Action RPG built around hero collection and real-time combat.

HitZone’s official description says the game takes the strategy found in turn-based battle RPGs and combines it with real-time action battles.

Players build teams from a large roster of collectible characters called Invokers.

These characters span several factions, rarities, elements and combat classes. Players then equip them with Relics, upgrade their skills and build teams for different areas of the game.

That structure will feel very familiar to experienced RAID players. However, the actual battles feel very different.

Rather than waiting for turns, characters fight continuously. Players control skills and abilities during combat, alternatively there is an Auto mode available for players who prefer automated farming.

The game includes a Campaign, Boss encounters, Spires, Arena, Events, Tournaments and several long-term character progression systems.

Invokers and Titans

One of the game’s more interesting takes comes from its two-part character system. You collect Invokers, but you also collect Titans as well.

Titans bind to Invokers and can enter combat through the game’s Invocation mechanic. Your Invoker temporarily transforms into the chosen Titan, gaining access to its power during battle.

Titans have their own rarities, progression and abilities. This creates another layer of team building beyond picking four strong characters and equipping them.

HitZone has continued expanding both collections. Update 0.60 introduced nine new Invokers and two Mythical Titans.

Whilst the wording used may be different, a lot of the concepts are the same for this familiar with RPGs.

Invokers have stats including HP, ATK and DEF. Classes include Melee Attackers, Ranged Attackers, Tanks and Supports. Accuracy and Resistance form part of the combat system too. You can read HitZone’s official Invokers guide for more details on the core character systems.

For RAID players, much of the theorycrafting should feel immediately recognisable.

Who Made Invokers?

This is where things get particularly interesting. Invokers: Titan Legacy is developed by HitZone Games.

HitZone was founded in 2022 and lists Madrid as its headquarters, with locations in Kyiv and Tel Aviv. You can find the studio through its official LinkedIn page.

More interesting for our community is the experience sitting inside that team. Several publicly available developer profiles connect HitZone staff directly to RAID: Shadow Legends and Plarium.

For example, HitZone developer Dmytro Ilchenko lists both Invokers: Titan Legacy and RAID: Shadow Legends among his projects. His profile dates his work on RAID to 2019 and Invokers from 2022 onward.

Ruslan Seleznov, another HitZone developer, lists RAID: Shadow Legends as a project dating back to March 2017. Recommendations on his public profile discuss his work at Plarium and reference his development work on RAID.

That 2017 date matters. RAID did not receive its full global release until 2019, so this places members of the current HitZone team within RAID’s development period before launch.

HitZone co-founder Rory Alderton has publicly described HitZone as being built by a seasoned team. He now actively promotes Invokers through his professional profile.

So the RAID connection is much more than a loose comparison between two games. Invokers is being developed by a studio containing developers who previously helped build RAID: Shadow Legends and other Plarium games. That explains some of the familiar ideas players will spot immediately.

You Can Play Invokers on PC, Mac and Mobile

Invokers started life as a mobile title, but HitZone has expanded its platform support.

The game is available on Android through Google Play and iPhone and iPad through Apple’s App Store.

On August 12, HitZone launched an official desktop client for Windows and Mac. You can find the PC and Mac versions through the official Invokers website.

Players can carry progress between mobile and desktop through a linked account. The desktop version supports controllers and full button rebinding too.

That makes the game much more interesting for players who prefer longer RPG sessions on PC.

HH Gaming Is Diving Into Invokers

HH Gaming is excited to start exploring Invokers: Titan Legacy.

RAID has been a huge part of what we do, so a new collection RPG from a team containing experienced RAID developers was always going to get our attention.

We want to see how deep the character building goes.

We want to work out which Invokers deserve your resources, which Titans pair best with them, how Relics should be built and which teams dominate each Boss.

We want to test the summoning economy and progression systems. We want to see how friendly the game is for free-to-play players. We want to break down Arena, Spires, Events and every major PvE encounter.

Most of all, we want to play it properly.

Our coverage will grow alongside our accounts and our understanding of the game. Expect beginner guides, Invoker builds, Titan guides, tier lists, boss teams, progression advice, news coverage and plenty more as we get deeper into Invokers.

There is a lot here that RAID players will recognise, but Invokers is building its own identity around real-time combat and the Titan system.

The HH Gaming team is jumping in, and we’re excited to see where Invokers: Titan Legacy goes next.
