Orynyx Mindcrawler Fusion Announced for RAID: Shadow Legends!

Plarium has announced the next Fusion Champion coming to RAID: Shadow Legends! Starting Thursday, October 22nd, 2026, players will have the opportunity to earn Orynyx Mindcrawler, a new Legendary Dark Elves Champion, through a Mixed Fusion Event.

Orynyx Mindcrawler is a Magic Affinity Support Champion built for PvP content. His kit focuses on enemy cooldown manipulation, buff stealing, Turn Meter control, and locking enemies out of their skills.

His standout feature is his immunity to cooldown increases, making him a strong counter to enemy lockout Champions. He brings powerful control options for both fast Arena teams and slower go-second compositions.

  • Affinity: Magic

Orynyx Mindcrawler Skills

Orynyx_Mindcrawler_skills

Dreamfang (A1)

Attacks 1 enemy and decreases the target’s Turn Meter by 10%.

Places a [Sleep] debuff on the target for 1 turn if the target has any active skills on cooldown put there by Orynyx Mindcrawler.

This skill provides additional control against enemies already affected by his cooldown manipulation. The Sleep effect gives Orynyx another way to disrupt opponents who survive his opening abilities.

Clinging Webstorm (A2)

Cooldown: 5 turns, reduced to 3 turns when fully booked.

Attacks all enemies 2 times.

The first hit has a 75% chance of stealing all buffs from all enemies. The second hit has a 75% chance of placing a [Block Active Skills] debuff on all enemies for 2 turns.

Both effects reach a 100% chance when fully booked.

This is one of Orynyx’s strongest control abilities. Stealing enemy buffs removes their protection and gives those buffs to Orynyx. The follow-up [Block Active Skills] debuff prevents affected enemies from using their active abilities for 2 turns.

Against Arena teams that rely on defensive buffs, this ability can completely change the opening stages of a battle.

Mindcrawler (A3)

Cooldown: 6 turns, reduced to 4 turns when fully booked.

Has a 75% chance of increasing the cooldowns of all enemy skills by 3 turns.

Fills the Turn Meters of all allies by 20%.

The cooldown increase reaches a 100% chance when fully booked.

Mindcrawler combines powerful enemy disruption with team-wide Turn Meter manipulation. Increasing enemy skill cooldowns by 3 turns can prevent opponents from accessing their strongest abilities.

The 20% Turn Meter boost helps allies take their turns sooner, creating an opportunity to follow up with damage or further control.

Neuroskitter (Passive)

Cooldown: 4 turns.

Passive Effect: This Champion’s skills cannot be put on cooldown.

Active Effect: Whenever an enemy tries to increase the cooldown of either Orynyx’s skills or an ally’s skills, activates an [Instant Turn] effect on Orynyx Mindcrawler.

If multiple Champions on the team have this skill, only one will activate. The effect will not activate on duplicate copies of Orynyx, or if he is dead.

This passive is arguably the most interesting part of his kit. Orynyx cannot have his own skills locked out through cooldown increases, and enemy attempts to manipulate his team’s cooldowns can trigger an immediate turn.

This creates an interesting counter to Champions who rely on cooldown increases to control Arena battles.

Aura

Increases Ally SPD in all Battles by 20%.

His universal Speed Aura provides extra flexibility across different team compositions, particularly in Arena battles where turn order is critical.

Where Will Orynyx Mindcrawler Be Useful?

Although Orynyx Mindcrawler is primarily designed for PvP, his abilities offer plenty of potential across other areas of RAID: Shadow Legends. His combination of cooldown manipulation, buff stealing, [Block Active Skills], and Turn Meter control makes him a versatile Support Champion.

Arena: A Powerful Lockout and Counter Champion

Arena is where Orynyx Mindcrawler looks particularly strong. His A3 increases all enemy skill cooldowns by 3 turns and boosts his team’s Turn Meter by 20%. This gives him a valuable combination of enemy disruption and team support in a single ability.

His A2 provides another layer of control. The first hit steals enemy buffs, and the second applies [Block Active Skills] for 2 turns. This combination can strip away defensive protection and prevent opponents from using their strongest abilities.

The buff-stealing mechanic is particularly interesting against teams using [Stoneskin]. Stealing these buffs can leave enemies vulnerable to follow-up attacks, although Stoneskin’s resistance to buff removal means the outcome is not guaranteed.

Orynyx also has an interesting interaction against Mythical Champions. His [Block Active Skills] debuff can prevent affected enemies from using their Metamorph ability, giving him another way to disrupt powerful Arena compositions.

His Neuroskitter passive provides additional value against enemy lockout Champions. Orynyx cannot have his own skills placed on cooldown by enemy abilities. If an opponent attempts to increase his cooldowns or those of an ally, he can gain an [Instant Turn] and respond with his own control abilities.

This makes him useful in both fast and go-second Arena teams. Fast teams can use his abilities to control opponents from the opening turns. Go-second teams can use his passive to punish enemy cooldown manipulation and potentially turn the battle around.

Doom Tower, Cursed City, and Faction Wars

Orynyx’s usefulness extends beyond Arena, particularly in PvE content featuring multiple enemy waves.

His AoE cooldown increase and [Block Active Skills] debuff can prevent dangerous enemies from using their strongest abilities. This is particularly valuable against waves containing Champions with powerful revives, healing, buffs, or crowd control.

He has potential in Doom Tower, Cursed City, and Faction Wars, where controlling enemy abilities can make difficult encounters much more manageable.

His Dark Elves faction is another consideration. Players lacking reliable control Champions for their Dark Elves Faction Wars team can benefit from his AoE lockout abilities, buff stealing, and Turn Meter support.

Orynyx also has potential against certain PvE bosses, including the Eternal Dragon, where cooldown manipulation can provide valuable control. His effectiveness will depend on each boss’s immunity mechanics and the abilities available to his team.

Potential Team Combinations

Orynyx Mindcrawler brings several useful mechanics into a single Champion, making him easier to fit into teams that lack dedicated control or Turn Meter support.

His A3 can help allies take their turns sooner, and his A2 can remove protective buffs before damage dealers attack. This makes him a natural partner for Champions who benefit from attacking vulnerable enemies.

Champions such as Dorothy Gale and Theimios the Everdrinker bring their own forms of buff manipulation. Orynyx offers a different combination, pairing buff stealing with [Block Active Skills] and cooldown increases.

He can be particularly valuable for developing accounts that lack established Arena lockout Champions. His ability to fill several Support roles reduces the need to dedicate multiple team slots to enemy control.

Where Are His Limitations?

Orynyx has a strong collection of abilities, but several factors will determine his performance.

His A2 and A3 require Accuracy to land their effects against enemies with Resistance. His cooldown abilities also need Skill Tomes to reach their full potential, with the A2 reaching a 3-turn cooldown and the A3 reaching a 4-turn cooldown.

His A1 [Sleep] debuff requires the target to have active skills on cooldown through Orynyx’s own abilities. This makes it less reliable as a standalone crowd-control skill, particularly against bosses where cooldown manipulation is ineffective.

His passive also relies on opponents attempting to increase skill cooldowns. Against teams without these mechanics, he will not benefit from the additional [Instant Turn] effect.

Finally, Orynyx does not bring direct healing, revives, or protective buffs. Teams using him will still need appropriate survivability and damage support.

Is Orynyx Mindcrawler Worth Fusing?

Orynyx Mindcrawler looks like a very strong Fusion target, particularly for players who lack a reliable enemy lockout Champion.

His biggest strength is the amount of control packed into his kit. A fully booked AoE cooldown increase, AoE buff stealing, [Block Active Skills], and a 20% team-wide Turn Meter boost provide several valuable mechanics without requiring multiple Champions.

For Arena-focused players, his passive gives him an interesting advantage against enemy cooldown manipulation. The ability to gain an [Instant Turn] following an attempted lockout creates opportunities to counterattack and disrupt opposing teams.

His PvE potential adds further value. Players progressing through Doom Tower, Cursed City, and Faction Wars can benefit from his ability to control dangerous enemy waves. This makes him more appealing than a Champion whose entire kit only works in Arena.

For newer and mid-game accounts, Orynyx looks particularly attractive. Players without established lockout Champions gain access to multiple forms of enemy control, buff manipulation, and Turn Meter support from a single Legendary.

For established endgame accounts, his value will depend more heavily on existing Champions and Arena team compositions. Players who already have reliable cooldown manipulation and buff control may find his passive counter mechanics the most compelling reason to complete the Fusion.

There is one other consideration. This Fusion arrives following several demanding events, including the Ingenious Titan Event and recent summoning events. Players with limited Shards, Energy, and other resources should review the full Fusion schedule before committing.

Our early recommendation is to prioritise Orynyx Mindcrawler if you have the resources to complete the Fusion, especially if your account lacks a strong lockout Champion. His combination of PvP control and PvE wave utility makes him a promising addition to a wide range of accounts.

The final verdict will depend on his performance in live battles, but his announced kit offers plenty of reasons to take this Fusion seriously.
