RAID Update 11.90: Unempowerment, Wishlist Boost & AI Changes

RAID: Shadow Legends Update 11.90 is bringing another round of quality-of-life changes, including a new Wishlist Boost Event, Champion Unempowerment, smarter Champion AI and several improvements to everyday gameplay.

The second batch of announced changes focuses on giving players more control over their Champions, reducing wasted resources and improving Auto Battle performance.

Wishlist Boost Event Introduces x15 Soul Summoning Chances

Update 11.90 introduces a new Wishlist Boost Event, giving players a better chance of obtaining Souls for their chosen Champions.

During these events, players will receive an x15 chance of summoning Souls from their Wishlist across all Soulstone types.

The event will be available to players from Level 42 onwards.

This change gives players another opportunity to target Souls for Champions they actively use. It should prove particularly useful for players chasing higher Awakening levels for their Arena, Hydra and Clan Boss teams.

Players will still need to manage their Soulstone resources carefully, as the x15 boost increases the chance of receiving Wishlist Souls rather than guaranteeing them.

Champion Unempowerment Finally Arrives

One of the biggest additions in Update 11.90 is the ability to Unempower Champions, allowing players to reverse previous Empowerment decisions.

This feature lets players separate an Empowered Champion into its original form and the Champions consumed during Empowerment.

For now, only Legendary Champions can be Unempowered.

This is a welcome change for players who previously invested duplicate Legendary Champions into Empowerment, only to discover that those duplicates had greater value elsewhere.

How to Unempower Champions

To access the new feature, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Guardian Ring.
  2. Navigate to the Empower Champions tab.
  3. Select the new Unempower button in the top-left corner.
  4. Choose the Empowered Legendary Champion you want to restore.
  5. Spend 1 Unempowerment Coin to complete the process.

Your original Champion will lose their Empowerment bonuses but retain their other upgrades.

These include:

  • Champion Level and Rank
  • Ascension
  • Masteries
  • Equipped Artifacts and Accessories

The Champions previously consumed during Empowerment will return to your Collection.

Each returned Champion will have the following status:

  • Rank 5
  • Level 1
  • No additional upgrades
  • No Masteries
  • No equipped Gear

Returned Champions will not count as newly acquired Champions. They will not contribute towards Events, Tournaments, Quests or Champion Index and Collection progress.

Unempowerment Coins Explained

Unempowering a Champion requires a new currency called an Unempowerment Coin.

Every Unempowerment costs exactly 1 Coin, regardless of the Champion's Empowerment level.

There are several restrictions:

  • Players can hold a maximum of 1 Unempowerment Coin.
  • The Coin balance refreshes once per month.
  • Unused Coins cannot be stacked or carried into future months.
  • Players holding a Coin at the monthly refresh will not receive another.
  • No additional methods of obtaining Coins are planned at launch.

This means players can reverse one Empowerment decision each month, provided they have a Coin available.

The monthly restriction makes choosing which Champion to Unempower an important decision.

Is Champion Unempowerment a Good Change?

Champion Unempowerment has the potential to be one of the most useful account-management features introduced in recent updates.

Duplicate Legendary Champions have several possible uses, including Faction Guardians, Empowerment and building multiple copies for different content.

Players who previously Empowered a Champion can now reconsider that investment.

For example, recovering duplicate Champions could help complete Faction Guardian slots or provide extra copies for specialised teams.

The feature is particularly valuable for established accounts with several Empowered Legendary Champions.

The monthly Coin restriction prevents players from constantly reversing their decisions, but it provides a way to correct previous investments without permanently losing valuable duplicates.

Champion AI Improvements Vol. 4

Update 11.90 continues Plarium's work on Champion AI, introducing another round of adjustments to Auto Battle behaviour.

This fourth wave targets 21 individual Champions, improving their skill priorities and target selection across different game modes.

The announced changes include:

  • Better skill priorities during Boss Battles.
  • Improved targeting against Hydra Heads.
  • Smarter targeting of Boss minions.
  • More effective skill usage based on enemy buffs and debuffs.
  • Improved decisions based on available skill cooldowns.

Plarium is introducing two general AI improvements that apply to all Champions.

These changes focus on targeting enemies affected by [Infest] debuffs and improving how Champions use skills that spread debuffs.

These improvements should help reduce situations where Champions waste important abilities or select unsuitable targets during Auto Battles.

The changes could prove particularly useful for Hydra teams, where target selection and skill timing can have a major impact on overall damage.

Plarium will release the complete breakdown of all 21 Champion adjustments separately.

Additional Quality-of-Life Changes

Update 11.90 introduces four smaller improvements designed to make everyday gameplay easier.

Advanced Quests Go Button Improvements

The Go button in the Advanced Quests tab will now direct players to the Dungeon Stage selection screen.

The game will automatically scroll to the latest available Stage instead of opening the pre-battle screen for Stage 15.

This removes an unnecessary step for players completing their daily Advanced Quests.

Best Teams Selection Displays More Information

The Teams of the Week window is receiving an update to display more details about featured Champion builds.

Players will now be able to view:

  • Equipped Relics
  • Champion Blessings
  • Champion Empowerment levels

This provides more information about the teams featured in the window and helps players understand the builds behind their performance.

Buff and Debuff Search Function

The All Buffs & Debuffs information tab is gaining a search field.

Players will be able to search directly for individual buffs and debuffs instead of scrolling through the complete list.

This small improvement should make checking unfamiliar effects much quicker, particularly for newer players learning Champion mechanics.

Instant Upgrade Tavern Improvements

The Tavern's Instant Upgrade feature is receiving a useful safeguard.

By default, the game will no longer display or automatically select fully levelled Champions as food during Instant Rank Ups.

A new checkbox will allow players to change this behaviour and include Max Level Champions when needed.

This reduces the risk of consuming Champions that players have already invested resources into levelling.

Players who deliberately use fully levelled Champions as food can still access that option through the new setting.
