Aratheia Corpseflower Overview

Aratheia Corpseflower is a fast-cycling Sylvan Watchers nuker who thrives on Hex, using Deathbrand to block revives while scaling damage, Ignore Defence, and Turn Meter to quickly wipe enemies in Arena, Spider, and wave content.

Rumors spread throughout the Sylvan Watchers of a mysterious flower said to release a deadly toxin upon blooming – one powerful enough to send its victims to the underworld for eternity. While wandering the forests of Mistwood, a local florist stumbled upon this flower, but instead of falling to its poison, she was infused with its power. Aratheia Corpseflower is a Void Attack champion from the Sylvan Watchers faction.

Aratheia is a nuker who thrives when Hex is active on enemies and is the second champion to bring the powerful Deathbrand debuff, which blocks the revival of enemies killed under its effect. This debuff is applied through her A3, which also places Increase Accuracy beforehand, and Hex on enemies. Uniquely, she fills her Turn Meter by 50%, plus an additional 10% for each debuff placed, and places Block Damage on herself. Depending on how many enemies are debuffed, this can almost instantly cycle her into her next turn – setting her up to unleash her nuke.

This double hitting AoE attack from her A2 increases in damage by 10% for each enemy under Hex, ignores various protective effects, and fills her Turn Meter by 30% – with an additional 20% for each enemy killed. Whether in the Spider Dungeon, Ice Golem, or Siege & Arena, the combination of damage scaling with Hex, Turn Meter cycling, and Deathbrand makes her impactful. Her scaling continues through her passive: she gains 10% Ignore Defence when killing one enemy, a 40% Shield when killing two for self protection, and decreases enemy Turn Meters when taking down over three.

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.
