Sacred Shard Summon Events – x2 Legendaries & x10 April O’Neil
Plarium has confirmed that on Friday, August 22nd, two summon events will run at the same time:
- A x2 event for Legendary Champions from Sacred Shards
- A x10 event for April O’Neil, the newest collab Legendary, also from Sacred Shards
The x2 Sacred event will last its full duration, while the x10 April O’Neil event will end one day earlier.
Who is April O’Neil?
April O’Neil has arrived in Raid: Shadow Legends through the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration event. Unlike her usual journalist role, April steps into the battlefield as a support-focused Legendary with a strong emphasis on control, Turn Meter manipulation, and buff denial.
Her kit introduces the brand-new Nullify Debuff, a powerful effect that prevents enemies from:
- Activating skills
- Taking Extra Turns or Instant Turns
- Having cooldowns decreased
- Receiving increased Shield value or restored HP
- Evading enemy skills or effects
- Swapping, equalizing, or balancing HP
- Having their Turn Meter manipulated
This makes Nullify one of the most disruptive debuffs ever introduced, designed to completely shut down key enemy mechanics.
Where April Excels:
- Arena: Speed aura (+28% SPD in Arena battles), Turn Meter control, and Nullify make her a powerful control option.
- Spider: Reliable Turn Meter manipulation and debuff control make her a strong answer to this dungeon.
- Ice Golem & Scarab King (Doom Tower): Her buff removal, TM control, and Seal/Nullify debuffs help handle these bosses effectively.
Is this Event worth going for?
The x2 Sacred Shard event is always one of the most rewarding times to summon, doubling your odds of hitting a Legendary. The x10 focus on April O’Neil adds extra incentive, especially for those interested in the TMNT collaboration.
April brings top-tier utility in Arena and PvE encounters like Spider and Ice Golem, with her Nullify Debuff setting her apart from most champions in the game. While not a universal carry, she offers a strong niche as a control and denial specialist, making her a great pick for players looking to counter dangerous enemy abilities.
It’s also important to mention this event WILL coincide with the Champion Chase Tournament for the Donatello Fusion, so if you want to pick up those Fragments, you’ll have to pop some shards!
