The Ultimate Epics For Hard Faction Wars – Skinwalkers!

Hard Faction Wars has arrived in Teleria for those who have already claimed Lydia the Deathsiren as the ultimate reward for 3-starring all the stages in Normal difficulty. Now, the quest continues for the latest Faction Wars reward, Polara Fireheart – a Mythical champion from the Sacred Order. Along the way, you'll earn some impressive milestone rewards as you push through these new stages. In this series of articles, we'll be spotlighting some of the MVP Epic champions you should consider for each faction.

This new Hard Mode adds extra challenges to earn those 3-star clears: 1 star for simply completing the stage, 2 stars for finishing with 5 champions without losing anyone, and a final 3rd star for completing the unique stage condition. The Epics we're featuring here range from top-tier powerhouses to those who fill a niche role – sometimes perfectly suited for tackling specific stage conditions, and sometimes offering broad utility that can cover multiple requirements.

You'll also come across a stage that requires you to beat it using at least 3 Epic champions – so even if you have Meta Legendaries for most stages, these Epics will still find a place in your team for that challenge. Let's dive into some of the best Epic champions from the Skinwalkers!

Yuzan the Marooned

Yuzan's kit revolves around strong team support and stripping buffs from enemies. His A3 removes a debuff from allies, heals them by 20%, and applies Block Debuffs – a solid way to block incoming effects, sustain ally HP, and clear random effects. His A2 randomly removes 2 buffs from enemies, helping break through protections and set up your own effects more easily. You could also run him in Stun or Provoke sets to help meet stage conditions or add general control. Additionally, he passively grants extra healing to allies by 20% of any surplus he receives.

Hoforees

Among the Epic champions in this faction, he's the only one with an unconditional active skill revive, making him a valuable pick for securing 3 star clears if you lose allies in tough waves. His A3 revives two allies with 50% HP and Turn Meter, along with Strengthen for extra sustain. Beyond that, he serves as offensive support, offering Increase Attack and Crit Rate buffs to boost team damage, and a single target chance to Stun for some control, and to help with specific stage conditions.

Gnarox Blackhorn

Gnarox is one of the newest additions to the faction and brings a kit that's well suited for Faction Wars. Stages 4 and 9 require you to apply Provokes for the 3 star condition, and his A3 offers a 75% chance to land it, while also placing Reflect Damage on allies. His A2 provides team support by applying Ally Protection – then a Counterattack on himself. Paired with allies who can bruise enemies, his Reflect Damage can help whittle enemies down to low HP thresholds, then his Counterattacks can help enable the stage 13 condition if timed correctly.

His passive gives him a 15% chance to Provoke enemies when allies attack those under his Ally Protection, and he also offers a strong 30% Defence Aura for Faction Wars.

Akemtum

Nub Raids found a lot of value in this Epic as he tackled many of the stages in Hard Faction Wars, mainly when built in a Stun set for frequent control. When he deals damage to enemies through his passive, it can trigger set effects – which is what makes him stand out – as well as the chance to trigger them through his active skills. Outside of this, the interaction between his Hex and Poisons is great for wearing down enemies and helping allies trigger Hex procs on affected targets when attacking.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS

Basher

The main reason to consider Basher is if you're lacking reliable crowd control, as he can delay enemies by increasing the cooldowns of their skills by 2 turns. This gives you more time to wear them down before their main abilities come back around. His random Block Buffs can also prevent key enemies from receiving protection or utility buffs, and gear sets like Stun or Provoke can add even more control to his kit.

Bowf The Rancid

Stages 3 and 11 require you to manipulate buff / debuff durations many times, and this champion can help meet those conditions while providing solid support. His A3 removes 2 random debuffs from allies, heals them by 10%, and applies Increase Accuracy – helping cleanse harmful effects and boosting your chances to land debuffs against high resistance enemies. His A2 brings Decrease Accuracy to reduce the risk of incoming debuffs, while also extending the duration of ally buffs. Additionally, when enemies place Poisons on allies, they'll only take 50% of the damage.

Weregren Suncursed

If you're lacking strong DPS for Stage 10 – which requires using at least 3 Epics – or for stages like 5 where you need to reduce enemy HP by 50% with a single skill, Weregren can be a solid option. His A2 is a strong triple hit single target attack that ignores Shield buffs. If he kills the target, he also places True Fear on enemies for control, and grants himself Unkillable for protection. This pairs well with his A3, which swaps HP with an enemy – if timed after taking damage under Unkillable, it can be a great way to finish off tanky targets. His passive also boosts his damage by 30% against targets with lower HP, helping to secure kills more easily.

Fren'zi The Cackler

If you're in need of Provokes for stages 4 and 9, this champion is definitely worth considering. Her A3 applies Provoke to all enemies with a 100% chance, and being Void affinity removes the risk of weak hits. She also places Increase Defence on herself for extra sustain and to boost her damage. Outside of her control – which is useful across many stages – she brings random hit HP Burns that fill her Turn Meter when applied, and can instantly activate them with her A1. The main value she brings is her strong crowd control.
