Website Update: Our New Faction Wars Guides

With the release of Faction Wars Hard difficulty, we have been hard at work behind the scenes to bring you a full revamp of the Faction sections of HellHades.com… And today we are finally ready to show you what’s coming!

From dedicated guides to every individual stage of Hard difficulty and the teams each of our content writers used, to new visual tier lists for every single faction, read on to find out what’s new!

To find our new Faction pages, go to the individual Faction sections in the main drop-down menu, or go to Faction Wars Tier Lists in the Tier Lists section.

Alternatively, we should also soon have an update to the main homepage, bringing cool visual links to each of the Factions and even our newest Champion pages… Let us know what you think of it!

FACTION SUMMARIES

The first big update to the Faction pages is an individual summary of how each Faction plays: be it Demonspawn bringing lots of HP Burn champions; Shadowkin bringing tons of damage but very few defensive champions; or Ogryn Tribes receiving the fewest champions despite being an OG Faction (the “not pretty enough” tax); there is tons of info for you to find here!

You’ll also find short lists of the Strengths and Weaknesses for each Faction (mainly focused on Faction Wars) to give you a quick reference look at what to expect.

The goal is to give even new players a great sense for what each Faction is all about, and what to expect moving into Faction Wars content with them.

MVP SECTION

On top of this, we also have a short MVP section for each Faction, covering 5 of the most iconic champions that everyone should know about for every Faction.

New players: hopefully this section will be helpful to get you started understanding the champs to aim for in each Faction.

Old players: see if you can guess who we picked before looking at each Faction!

We originally picked the actual best champions for each Faction, but we decided that this was far too weighted towards hard-to-obtain champions such as Mythicals and Faction Unity champions (not to mention, it basically replicated the brief for the Faction Tier Lists…), so we revamped the lists to be generally more accessible (the Banner Lords example above is a rare occasion where 2 Void Legendaries were chosen–but we couldn’t not pick Taras and Marichka!)

Now it’s time for the most exciting part of this update: we will now have a new type of visual tier list specifically made for every single Faction!

To make this a bit easier to read, we have separated the Tier Lists into four major roles–and we have ranked every champion inidivually on their relevant roles, with this update appearing on every single champion’s dedicated page alongside this update as well (and being integrated into our rankings for every new champion in future).

THE FOUR MAJOR ROLES

The four major roles are:

1. Damage = champions who deal damage (e.g. Enemy MAX HP damage, Bombs, Burns)
2. Offensive Support = champions who help you do more damage/control (e.g. Ally Attack, Increase ACC, Increase Turn Meter)
3. Defensive Support = champions who help you to stay alive (e.g. Revive, Shield, Decrease ATK)
4. Control = champions who stop the enemy doing things (e.g. Stun, Freeze, Decrease Turn Meter)

There roles don’t exist in game; we’ve invented them to give you a broad overview for how champions work. For example, a new player who is struggling to stay alive against a Faction Wars boss can take a quick look at the Defensive Support section of the tier list; or a player who is getting overrun by waves can look at the Control section to see how champions are ranked there. Finally, any player can take a broad overview of each Tier List, with the understanding that a typical Faction Wars team will usually want to include some champions from every role to build a well balanced team!

But that’s not all! In the final section of each Faction page you will find the Faction Wars Stages Tool. This tool not only incorporates the regular Raid Stages Tool that you all know and love–giving you full details on enemy champions in each wave, alongside all their stats–but it also includes dedicated guidance written by our content writers.

Here you will find some quick tips for stages as needed, alongside breakdowns for the teams our writers actually used to 3-star each Faction Wars Hard stage–there are tested and proven teams, with written insights on why champions were chosen and the challenges (or, sometimes, the lack thereof) that our writers faced with their choices.

As our writers play through these stages again on the Live Server, they will be updating these guides with more details. (It was a massive cram session to try to beat every stage of Hard in 1 week on the Test Server–we did our best!)
