WINTER REBALANCE PREVIEW – SIR NICHOLAS & GLISEAH SOULGUIDE

The frost is rolling back into Teleria, and with it comes a pair of long-awaited winter rebalances. Two champions with deep seasonal roots — Sir Nicholas and Gliseah Soulguide — are receiving meaningful improvements intended to modernise their kits and restore their identity in both PvE and PvP. These updates don’t reinvent the champions, but instead refine what they always should have been: one a stalwart protector with powerful offensive pressure, the other a crowd-control specialist capable of locking down entire enemy teams.

Sir Nicholas – A True Winter Guardian Reborn

Sir Nicholas has remained a fan favourite for years, yet his performance increasingly lagged behind the rapid pace of modern champion releases. His synergy with Lady Noelle in particular felt undercooked, preventing the duo from ever reaching its thematic and mechanical potential. This rebalance directly addresses that gap.

His A1 receives a much-needed improvement to its Freeze chance, ensuring more reliability in both Arena and wave control. When Lady Noelle is present, that reliability turns absolute — the Freeze becomes guaranteed and cannot be blocked or resisted. It instantly elevates Sir Nicholas from a mild disrupter to a consistent control option in any Noelle pairing.

His A2 gains offensive teeth with a new ignore-DEF mechanic that activates when Lady Noelle is on the same team. Combined with new teamwide Strengthen and Shield buffs, the skill transforms Sir Nicholas into a hybrid force again, enabling stronger defensive setups without sacrificing damage. His raw damage multiplier also increases, bringing his numbers closer to modern standards.

The rework to his Goodwill skill rounds out the update, adding a Counterattack self-buff and special Lady Noelle interaction that allows him to place Taunt on himself for two turns. This shifts his role more toward battlefield anchoring — a protector who not only absorbs enemy attention but punishes it.

Even his passive receives situational buffs, reducing enemies’ ignore-DEF effects against shielded allies. With Lady Noelle, that reduction becomes significantly stronger, making the duo far more resilient in PvP encounters where ignore-DEF nukers dominate.

Gliseah Soulguide – Frost Control Elevated

Gliseah has always had a strong identity on paper: a defensive ice mage whose kit revolves around Freeze manipulation. However, her inconsistent chances, slow momentum, and limited PvP relevance left her underwhelming. This rebalance aims to restore her as a legitimate control powerhouse.

Her A1 immediately benefits from a large boost in Freeze chance — rising from 30% to 50% — and her debuff-spread effect now pulls all debuffs from the target instead of just one. This change dramatically increases her snowball potential, especially when facing debuff-heavy teams.

Her A2 finally becomes the skill it should have been from the beginning. Gliseah now steals all buffs from enemies before applying Weaken, turning this from a utility strike into a high-impact opener capable of dismantling enemy setups.

Her A3 improvements push her crowd control further. The Freeze chance jumps from 60% to 75%, and she now fills all allies’ Turn Meters by 15%, plus an additional 5% for every Freeze she lands. This creates a strong control-into-tempo swing that can completely overturn a losing position if used at the right moment.

Her passive also receives several critical improvements. The Freeze debuff is now unresistable and unblockable by default, and she gains a new once-per-turn Instant Turn effect whenever enemies attempt to place her skills on cooldown. This heavily punishes teams relying on cooldown manipulation and gives Gliseah a reactive presence that finally suits her frost-queen fantasy.
