2x Sacred Shards and 15x Progressive Chance Event
Another Sacred Shard weekend is coming to RAID: Shadow Legends, and this one lands right in the middle of the ongoing Fusion.
Starting Friday, October 2nd, Plarium will run a 2x Sacred Shard Event alongside a 15x Progressive Chance Event. Both events will run for 72 hours.
The timing is important for Fusion players, as the event overlaps with the Fusion Champion Chase Tournament.
Event Details
For 72 hours, Sacred Shards will have a 2x chance of summoning Legendary Champions.
At the same time, players can select one Legendary Champion for the accompanying 15x Progressive Chance Event:
You can select one of these Champions for your Progressive Chance slot.
The combination of a 2x Legendary event and Progressive Chance makes this a much more appealing time to open Sacred Shards than a standard Progressive Chance Event.
Should You Pull Sacred Shards?
For players completing the Fusion, you will need to earn points during the Champion Chase Tournament.
The problem is that Sacred Shards are not ideal for Champion Chase. Champion Chase awards points based on the rarity of the Champion summoned, rather than the Shard used.
Ancient Shards are often a better source of Champion Chase points. Void Shards can provide strong value here too.
Sacred Shards still have one major advantage this weekend. The 2x Legendary chance makes this a good opportunity to use them if you need Champion Chase points for the Fusion anyway.
Players skipping the Fusion face a simpler choice. A 2x Sacred event is one of the better times to open Sacred Shards, and the Progressive Chance gives you an extra shot at The Cowardly Lion or The Tin Woodman.
Both events begin on Friday, October 2nd and run for 72 hours.
