What Unkillable Does in Raid

How Unkillable Works
The Unkillable buff prevents a champion from dying when receiving fatal damage. Champions will still take damage normally but cannot be reduced below 1 HP while the buff is active.
The Unkillable buff is one of the most important buffs in Clan Boss since it enables you to keep specialised teams alive without building any defensive stats. After turn 50, the Demon Lord will ignore the Unkillable buff, which makes these teams a high-intensity damage race to squeeze as much damage into those 50 turns as possible.
Some champions only place Unkillable on themselves while others can protect the entire team. In both cases it is a very unusual and powerful buff.
Unkillable vs Block Damage
Both of these buffs serve a similar role in preventing champions from dying.
Block Damage prevents damage entirely, while Unkillable allows damage but prevents death.
In most circumstances Block Damage is superior to Unkillable. The main weakness of Block Damage is that there are many enemies who can ignore Block Damage with their attacks, whereas enemies who can ignore Unkillable are less common.
Both of these buffs are commonly used in Demon Lord Clan Boss speed tunes.
Why Unkillable Teams Are So Popular

Consistent Clan Boss Results
Unkillable teams allow players to achieve consistent damage results regardless of gear quality, since they remove the need for HP or DEF stats.
Many players transition into Unkillable teams once they acquire the required champions because it is the easiest way to build a team which can secure the top chest rewards from Ultra-Nightmare Demon Lord Clan Boss (though it will likely take more than 1 key to do so for newer players).
Demon Lord is the biggest source for Shards and Skill Tomes, making it the top priority for new players in the game. Unkillable teams are so powerful because they will allow you to leap ahead in this content and start earning rewards that would normally take weeks more grinding to get to.
Lower Defensive Requirements
Traditional Clan Boss teams require significant DEF, HP, and healing to stay alive. Unkillable teams totally remove these requirements.
Since you do not need to invest into defensive stats, this allows players to focus more heavily on damage stats, pushing your damage numbers significantly higher.
This opens up opportunities to use champions who would otherwise struggle to survive (most notably, powerful but squishy damage dealers).
Best Unkillable Champions in Raid
Here we’ve highlighted 10 of the best Unkillable champions in RAID: Shadow Legends. While this isn’t a complete list of every strong option available, it showcases some of the most effective champions and helps demonstrate what makes this buff so valuable across the game.

Paragon

Paragon is infamous for placing a 2-turn Unkillable buff on a 2-turn cooldown; he can permanently keep himself Unkillable, opening up a cheesy strategy for some bosses or trolling new players in arena. Check out dedicated Paragon teams for a boss you are stuck on, but bear in mind that Plarium has prevented this from working against most newer bosses.
Galapo the Recluse

Galapo is not a traditional Unkillable champion but he’s worth noting since his revive brings an ally back with 2 turns of Unkillable. One of the big stuggles for epic revivers is often keeping allies alive after your revive is used and Galapo bypasses this problem with this buff.
Maneater

Maneater is the most famous Unkillable champion in RAID: Shadow Legends. With his 2-turn duration paired with a matching Block Debuffs buff, he is the perfect accessible champion for unlocking Unkillable team builds for Demon Lord Clan Boss, thereby unlocking the biggest source of shards in the entire game. He’s great for Ice Golem too, since he totally protects your team from its counterattacks.
Xiloco the Encrusted

Xiloco is the new promo champion for players who invite friends to return to the game. He’s highly unique in his ability to grant one champion a 2-turn Unkillable buff alongside a Counterattack buff and a 2-turn cooldown decrease. He’s the Unkillable version of Fyna, working to power up and protect a premium damage dealer in Clan Boss teams or PvP.
Emic Trunkheart

Emic is a former fusion who brings good uptime on Unkillable alongside regular small cooldown decreases to his entire team. He opens up a ton of specialised team builds for many dungeons and Clan Bosses. Check out Bronko on YouTube for tons of examples.
Sir Nicholas

Sir Nicholas has been recently buffed and brings in team Unkillable alongside a self-Counterattack buff. His counterattacks can regularly Freeze enemies, and he also brings good Shields and Healing to his teams. To unlock his full potential he must be paired with Lady Noelle, who we will discuss next.
Lady Noelle

Lady Noelle does not have any Unkillable ability herself. However, when paired with her partner, Sir Nicholas, she becomes arguably the best Unkillable champion in the game since she can activate his Unkillable ability with her 3-turn cooldown A2; this is the shortest cooldown Unkillable ability in the game!
Klaazag Keyhulk

Klaazag is jam-packed with utility. His A3 gives Unkillable and Counterattack to your entire team, and these buffs are protected against bosses. His A2 is equally incredible, placing Decrease DEF, Weaken, Decrease RES, and Decrease ACC on all enemies. If that’s not enough for 2 champions, let alone one, he even does solid damage too!
Kurosa the Covetous

Kurosa is one of the weaker mythical champions in the game, but there’s no question that she’s a solid support in her Base Form and one of the few champions with 2 turns of team Unkillable. She brings good buffs and Shields and her A1 can do a surprising amount of healing. She’s a good damage dealer in her Alternate Form as well. Perhaps her biggest selling point is that she is likely to be buffed and we are expecting her to be much better whenever that inevitably happens.
Theodosia the Disgraced

Theodosia takes the concept of pairing a revive with Unkillable which we saw with Galapo and then turns it up to 11 by making it a full team revive with 2 turns of Unkillable! This makes her the best PvP reviver, since it is so difficult to deal with her team if she succesfully revives them. She also brings tons of self-protection and utility with her other moves and is an amazing control champion in her Alternate Form. One of the best mythical in the game!
How to Build Unkillable Champions

SPD is Key
The SPD stat is incredibly important for Unkillable champions and there are two styles of build that you must be aware of:
- General high SPD (going before enemies)
- The precise speed tune
General High SPD
This is the easiest style of building champions and will generally be used for PvP or easier wave-based content. Here you are likely to be unable to maintain full uptime on Unkillable, so you are simply aiming to get the Unkillable buff up before enemy damage dealers and to rotate back through its cooldown as quickly as possible.
To achieve this you will generally be building high SPD stat but you will have the flexibility to choose between things like Protection gear set (to protect the Unkillable buffs from being removed or stolen) or sets like Reflex (which will reduce you skill cooldowns).
The Precise Speed Tune
For encounters like Demon Lord Clan Boss where you must maintain your Unkillable buff on everyone 100% of the time, a precise speed tune is absolutely essential. This will require building highly specific SPD stats on each champion on the team to ensure the correct rotation of abilities–even a few SPD points off can break your team entirely.
We recommend using dedicated guides when building champions for a speed tuned team, as champion choice, gearing, and SPD can all be extremely specific.
Best Areas for Unkillable Teams
Demon Lord Clan Boss is a huge area for Unkillable teams. As mentioned above, use resources such as HellHades and DeadwoodJedi to simplify team building.
PvP is a big area for Unkillable, since very few champions can ignore the buff, giving you a powerful defensive effect.
Difficult fights in areas like Faction Wars or Grim Forest are also good places to use the Unkillable buff, letting you survive when you otherwise wouldn’t!
