Path of the Lost Event – RAID: Shadow Legends
Plarium has officially announced a new Hero’s Path Event, the Path of the Lost Event, for RAID: Shadow Legends, as part of the Chaos Awakes campaign.
This Path will begin on Thursday, July 17th, and will last for 96 hours.
The big reward this time around is a chance to get the Legendary Champion, Balar the Lost!
OBJECTIVES
As with all Hero’s Paths Events, you’ll need to earn points from completing certain objectives to unlock the path. For this Path, the points are acquired by:
- Summoning Champions from Shards
- Collecting Artifacts and Accessories
Expect this to mostly rely on shards, with “dungeon divers” providing a much smaller amount of points.
REWARDS
There are several big rewards up for grabs in this Path Event:
- Balar the Lost himself
- A 5-star Perfect Soul for Balar
- An exclusive Avatar (probably of Balar)
- Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical Twysted Horns for crafting Chaos Awakes Relics
Is it Worth it?

As you read above, the rewards for this Path are particularly juicy:
- Balar himself is a new legendary and he’s great for completing Chimera Trials.
- 5-star souls are very tough to get and give a huge power boost to champions.
- Relic crafting fragments are very valuable, partiuclarly mythical ones.
NOTE: there is also a special gift available to players who collect all 4 legendary champions from the Chaos Awakes Event.
In our opinion, any one of the three points listed above could be enough to justify players spending their hard-earned resources on an event; all three together make this very tempting.
HOW GOOD IS BALAR?
We’ve rated Balar 4-stars, making him a good but not game-changing champion.
His highest rated areas are Dragon normal and hard at 5-stars, then Demon Lord clan boss and Ice Golem normal at 4.5-stars.
In short, these areas are notably early game areas, but it is likely impossible to have the resources needed to complete this Path as an early-game player (without spending a significant amount of money on shards). This makes him a tough sell.
That being said, he does open up many Chimera Trials, though we expect his overall Chimera damage to fall short of top tier; he might be a good option for weeks where you are trying to maximise Trials for relic fragments.
THE COST
With big rewards comes big cost, however…
Although this event looks promising, we cannot say for sure until we see the cost of the Path on Thursday–stay tuned on the site for coverage!
This Path comes right after an intense fusion event for Titus Blackplume, and another fusion is expected to drop in about 2 weeks from now, so bear that in mind if your shard reserves are low.
