Grand Oak Padraig Overview

For centuries the Grand Oak has roamed the Mistwood in search of the mythical tree of fortune. Guided by the whispers of his ancestors he found what he was looking for…. but the outcome was unimaginable. Padraig was smothered in four leaf clovers as a sacred staff was bestowed upon him, infused with the ultimate power of protection. Grand Oak Padraig is a Legendary Support champion from the Sylvan Watchers Faction.

Padraig is a strong addition to the Sylvan Watchers, utilising various support roles to tackle some of Raid’s toughest encounters. To begin, he is the latest champion in the game with an Ally Attack skill, followed by a full restoration of your teams MAX HP. Whether you’re targeting the Fire Knight to reduce the shield counters, or using him for the HP restorations in Hydra or Sand Devil battles, this skill holds universal value. Leading in to the Inspiring Rhythm [A3], Padraig will fill the Turn Meters of allies by 20%, Removes all Debuffs from them, followed by placing a 30% Increase Speed buff.

This is a powerful combination to counter the many Debuffs in the Arena or Hydra [as examples], whilst being a strong speed manipulator to cycle more turns. It’s also worth noting Padraig’s Snakeroot [A1] has a chance to Decrease the cooldown of ally skills, and although this is great to fetch more damage from active abilities, this can completely ruin a Clan Boss speed tune. The Grand Oak also has a magic trick up his sleeve [passive], as he will place buffs on allies depending on their types. This can be a great buff coverage for champions who may have been lacking them prior, making him a no brainer for content such as the Faction Wars!

Arena Roles

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
