Hierophant Lazarius Overview

Wielding the staff of the Flame Vulcan, this cobra dragon harnesses the power to cause volcanic destruction across the battlefield! Hierophant Lazarius joins Teleria as the first Mythical Champion from the Lizardmen Faction.

Base Form

The skills here can be extremely powerful for content such as the Arena, Doom Tower & Hydra [as examples], due to placing crucial buffs and debuffs that coincide with a unique passive. Opening with the Nest Of Vipers [A2], he places a Block Debuffs on your allies whilst decreasing the duration of enemy buffs, followed by placing a Block Buffs after attacking. The synergy here is powerful, as he not only keeps your team protected, but keeps buffs removed from the Hydra [as an example] which is a core to your success. The Rift’s Gaze [A3] can work as a great set up skill in Arena, similar to champion’s such as Lyssandra, and pairing this with the support buffs and revivals at the end of his turn can be clutch for victory.

Alternate Form

As we shape shift in to his Alternate Form, Hierophant gains destructive power. As you Metamorph you will notice you will gain the buffs from his alternate form passive, whilst also keeping the buffs from the base form passive. This opens the opportunity to have a deadly first attack, although this isn’t where the carnage ends! Lets think Warlord meets Baron… that’s what we have on our hands! Hierophant’s Passive Active Effect Increases the cooldown of all enemy skills by 2 turns when killing an enemy making him super effective as a DPS and Control champion. The scalability factor from his default skill & A2 is where the true damage potential comes to fruition, as optimising these can lead you to a more consistent AOE nuke to kill multiple enemies. Outside of the Arena these may also hold value for dealing raw damage against the Hydra & Demon Lord. Last but not least, his Flame Vulcan [A3] ignores many buff conditions, Ignores 30% Defence & steals 50% of the targets Turn Meter which also cannot be resisted.

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
