Iudex Artor Overview

Iudex Artor is a Sacred Order Legendary who brings strong progression support with a single-target revive that triggers an immediate attack, team-wide Increase ATK and Strengthen with Turn Meter fill, and AoE healing, making him valuable for progression through modes like Arena, & PVE.

Rising from the Sacred Order is a warrior who traps the souls of the fallen within his chained censer mace, and with a single swing, he can release them back into battle – revived with enhanced power to take down his foes. Iudex Artor is a free Legendary champion, with Fragments available through the Reward Calendar during the Community Weeks event, running from April 10th to May 9th, 2025.

Artor is especially valuable for early to mid-game players, offering strong support effects across all of his skills. That said, he can also hold his own in late-game content, making him a great option for modes like Siege, The Cursed City, and the long awaited Faction Wars Hard Mode. Starting with his A3, this single target revival brings an ally back with 50% HP and Turn Meter, then immediately activates that ally’s default skill to attack the most vulnerable enemy. It’s almost like a budget version of Senna Amberheart, and if the revived ally kills their target with that attack, Artor’s passive resets the cooldown of this skill – allowing him to cycle his revival more frequently.

Leading into the A2, Artor places both Increase Attack and Strengthen on all allies, while also filling their Turn Meters by 15%. This is a strong combination of effects – boosting your team’s damage, reducing the damage they take, and helping them cycle through turns faster. Strengthen is one of the best ways to mitigate incoming damage, so giving players access to this through a free champion is a huge boost for progression. Lastly, his A1 is an AoE attack that heals allies by 5% of his MAX HP. It’s a great way to keep the team sustained and also opens the door for sets like Provoke, Cursed, or Stun to add extra crowd control or utility.

Arena Roles

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
