Iudex Artor – Champion Spotlight

Iudex Artor is the Community Weeks champion for 2025 in Raid: Shadow Legends and he is available for FREE to everyone who logs in during the Community Weeks events between April 10th and May 9th.

Iudex Artor is a bit like a budget Arbiter–he brings weaker base SPD, Turn Meter boosting, and SPD aura, but compensates with a powerful single target revive, Strengthen, and an AoE A1.

A1 – Censer Whirl

This does a small but consistent amount of healing but the main draw is the AoE attack: this synergises very well with the Warmaster mastery, the Cruelty blessing, and sets that trigger effects on hit, such as Stun or Cursed.

A2 – Incense of Inspiration

His core ability, this provides a medium Turn Meter boost and two great buffs. His low base SPD and smaller boost make him struggle to be your faster champion (like Arbiter or Shu-Zhen) but he works really well as a secondary booster.

Don’t underestimate the survivability gain from having Strengthen on your team–it’s amazing for basically every area of the game.

A3 – Revival Mandate

This is a solid single target revive that brings an Ally Attack component. Try to build teams which only have one squishy champion (your damage dealer) to ensure this revive is going on them where possible. Reviving a squishy support loses a lot of the benefits of this move, since they will do no damage and will not activate his passive.

P1 – Sentenced to Life

This passive emphasises that Iudex is best used for reviving damage dealers. The reset can be quite powerful and can make a damage dealer with a strong A1, such as Alice the Wanderer, a big threat while Artor remains alive.

Aura

A 25% SPD in Arena aura is one of the stronger arena auras in the game. It’s a bit risky into enemies with 30% or stronger SPD auras if you’re hoping to go first, but it’s plenty good enough otherwise.

Sadly, this aura won’t help outside of arena.

Best Stats

The key stats to look for on Artor are:

1. HP
2. SPD

The build priority for Artor is very simple: build as much SPD and HP as possible! Some DEF or RES stats can be helpful too, but are not a priority.

Whether you focus more on SPD or more on HP is up to you: if you are an early game player and he is your fastest Turn Meter Increase champion, then youu should put SPD as top priority; we recommend focusing on HP first for most players, while still building him with very good SPD (he has low base SPD, which limits his potential to be your top SPD champion).

Best Gear Sets

The 5 best sets for Artor are:

1. Bolster
2. Speed
3. Stoneskin
4. Stun
5. Rebirth

There are even more viable sets than this too: anything which will boost either his SPD stat for a fast build, or his ability to keep the team alive for a tanky build is viable.

Bolster, Regeneration or Guardian can help him stay alive or protect his team.

Speed, or any sets that give high SPD% are ideal for a fast build.

Stoneskin or Reaction accessories are good if you are not confident about going first in arena.

Stun, Provoke and Cursed work extremely well with his AoE A1.

Rebirth or Protection enhance his supporting capabilities in longer fights.

Best Blessings

There are several great options for Blessings for Artor. We are expecting some sort of event which will give players access to earning up to a 5-star soul.

1. Temporal Chains: this will help Artor cut in to protect the team against fast enemies. Particularly strong in arena.
2. Cruelty: this combines very well with his AoE A1 and the Warmaster mastery to boost your damage against waves and bosses.
3. Intimidating Prescence: Making your SPD Aura stronger is essential for going first in arena.

Best Relics

There are several great options for Relics for Artor as well.

1. Wand of Submission (Legendary Standard Relic): arguably the best arena relic in the game, and it looks like we’ll get one for free from the Community Weeks voting. Gives him HP, SPD, and a high chance to reflect CC back at enemies.
2. Chrysalid of Rebirth (Mythical Clan Relic): insane stats and boosts his revival potential even further.
3. Hallowed Hilt (Mythical Standard Relic): insane stats and triggers consistenly off his A1.
4. Journal of Necrotos (Rare Standard Relic): more healing and turn meter increasing makes this an amazing budget option.
5. Demonic Effigy (Epic Standard Relic): budget option to make his reviving more consistent.
