Fusion Guide: Helicath

Imbued with magical purpose, Helicath claws into Teleria, joining the Demonspawn Faction, as part of the June 2022 Fusion Event.

Helicath will have multiple uses and becomes only the second champion (after Valkyrie) that applies a Shield based on the DEF value of your build. This could potentially create very significant shields. In addition to his shield, Helicath also brings a Weaken on his A1, a powerful debuff to help increase your damage in Clan Boss or Hydra Clan Boss. His signature ability will be his A3, Devoted Servants, which applies a Block Damage buff to all allies for 2 turns (only Roschard the Tower could apply for 2 turns prior to Helicath’s release). If this Block Damage buff is removed in any manner, the champion instantly is granted an Increase DEF buff for 2 turns. Helicath will increase his own DEF for each Block Damage buff on your team and also counterattack when any champion under block damage buff is attacked.
Helicath is also a fantastic champion for Bommal & Spider!

Helicath offers a number of different options. You could use Helicath as a big shielder in a Killable Clan Boss speed tune (block damage will work until turn 50), or as an Unkillable. You could use Helicath in Arena to force opponents to bring double buff removal or a block buffs (watch out for those sneaky Ramantu’s that can disable his A3 passive) or run him in Protection set to annoy your enemies with his counter attacks. He will also be excellent in any Hydra Team to help reduce the incoming damage your team receives (although watch out for that Mischief head!)

Is Helicath worth going for?

We always recommend going for every Fusion, if you have the resources to do so – however, Helicath is arguably one of the best fusions we’ve had in recent months, and will be very useful for all accounts, both new and old!

As this is a Traditional Fusion, you will need to collect 16 Rares, to fuse 4 Epics, to then fuse Helicath. Each of these will need to be levelled up and ascended.

spacer

Fusion Requirements:

Due to this being a traditional Fusion event, you will need to collect the following Champions to fuse Helicath.

x4 Kinagashi

Each of these epics will be acquired through events or through fusing with 4 rares, which will be available through events.

16x Lamibur

As always, we will keep you updated every step of the way through the events, providing you with daily updates.

Levelling these Champions will require:

48x 3-star chickens
16x 4-star chickens

Ascending these Champions will require:

Type Lesser Greater Superior
Spirit 160 144 24
Magic 0 0 0
Force 0 0 0
Void 0 0 0
Arcane 80 108 12
spacer

Fusion Calendar:

June 9th:
Dungeon Divers Event
Dragon Tournament

June 10th:
Champion Chase Tournament
Classic Arena Takedown

June 12th:
Artifact Enhancement Event
Champion Training Event

June 13th:
Ice Golem Tournament

June 14th:
Dungeon Divers Event

June 16th:
Classic Arena Takedown

June 17th:
Artifact Enhancement Event
Fire Knight Tournament
Summon Rush

June 19th:
Champion Training Tournament

June 21st:
Dungeon Divers Event
Spider Tournament

Day 1:

New Events:
Dragon Tournament
Dungeon Divers Event

After a rocky start to say the least, Plarium finally managed to get the events out for the Fusion, and as such, we were nicely compensated for our lost time too.
Both of today’s events will give us the opportunity to get our hands on copies of Lamibur, out of the total of 16 we will need throughout the fusion.

So, to kick off the start of our Fusion, we’ve got a double event that lines up perfectly together, it’s time to dive straight into Dragon, 2250 points for this will take around 2250 energy at level 20 – which is a maximum of 140 runs!

All the points you accumulate in Dragon will also count for Dungeon Divers so it’s a great way to double-dip.

Of course, Dungeon Divers will take longer than Fire Knight to finish with 2850, so you’ll have to clean up these points elsewhere.

spacer

Day 2:

New Events:
Champion Chase Tournament – 1150/2500 Points
Classic Arena Takedown – 290 Points

Time to farm the arena! 290 points for this rare, which isn’t unobtainable.

Continue to use all daily battles, but keep an eye on the points, you may need to gem 1 or 2 refills to reach the points that you need depending on your arena tier/win rate. Of course, always aim to win as many fights as you can, don’t waste tokens for fights that you’re not sure of.

For the Champion Chase tournament, you will need to gather champions from all sources, fusions, market, campaign, shards – this weekend lines up with the x2 ancient summon event, so if you’ve been saving shards there is no better time to pull than now for most people. Aside from Ancient Shards, mystery shards can be used to farm easy points!

spacer

Day 4:

New Events:
Artifact Enhancement Event – 4300 Points
Champion Training Event – 5200 Points

For todays Artifact event, you will need to level up your artifacts, to reach the required points for another Lamibur.

This will be a great opportunity to take the new Artifact Upgrade system for a spin!

Artifact Enhancement

This is a really good opportunity to do a good old gear clear-out, roll things that you might want to keep up to see how the stats play out, sell things that you won’t want to keep.

spacer

Day 5:

New Events:
Ice Golem Tournament – 2250 Points

To get your hands on Lamibur from Ice Golem, it will take you 140 runs of stage 20 based on the worst possible drops, of all 5* rare gear, of course, this figure can be significantly lower based on your drop rates. This will take ~2250 energy.

spacer

Day 6:

New Events:
Dungeon Divers Event – 3750 Points

To gather another Lamb ready for the sacrifice you’ll be hunting dungeons for 3750 points in the Dungeon Divers Event, this will be easy to accumulate from either training or Ice Golem that is also currently running, or even from the Fire Knight Tournament that begins in 2 days time.

spacer

Day 8:

New Events:
Classic Arena Takedown –

Time to farm the arena! 390 points for this rare, which isn’t unobtainable, but it is however on the high side of recent point requirements.

Continue to use all daily battles, but keep an eye on the points, you may need to gem 1 or 2 refills to reach the points that you need depending on your arena tier/win rate. Of course, always aim to win as many fights as you can, don’t waste tokens for fights that you’re not sure of.

spacer

Day 9:

New Events:
Artifact Enhancement Event – 5300 Points
Summon Rush – 2150 Points & 4925 Points (Kinagashi)
Fire Knight Tournament – 2250 Points

Today’s Fire Knight Tournament, much like the other Tournaments of this fusion will require 2250 Points for the rare, which is a maximum of 140 runs, stage 20 or higher, based on the worst possible drops.

For todays Artifact event, you will need to level up your artifacts, to reach 5300 points it will take 16x 6* items to level 16, so this will take a fair chunk of silver.

Artifact Enhancement

This is a really good opportunity to do a good old gear clear-out, roll things that you might want to keep up to see how the stats play out, sell things that you won’t want to keep.

For the Summon Rush, we have two events this weekend, both a guaranteed Champion and a 10x – However the point requirements are incredibly high if you’re aiming for a copy of the Epic, but remember the Fusion is still doable without, unless you’ve skipped any events thus far.

Fusion is live! First dungeon diving starting now!

Why would we start dungeon diving before the Dragon Tourney/Event is up?

Because they want us to waste our resources :^), it seems counterintuitive regardless tbh.

Rough start in the morning, but at least we can see Helicath and the fusion for him. Dragon Tourney is not live yet. as of 2:50pm CST. They may wait until the typical reset for that. Glad we can pull the Lam from shards. Got all my chickens roasting the the Vault or waiting as dreck-pulls from Ancients, got all my pots lined up except for about 40 Greater Spirits, which I’m farming now, while waiting for Dragon Tourney. Bring It On!

I wanted a unkillable champ for CB for so long. Now we get a great one in a fusion event, except I am going on holiday for 2 weeks this weekend so I have to skip this one.
This is brutal….

What’s the best way to beat champion chase? Should you pull some ancient shards now or wait until the summon event?

I usually pull Ancient Shards for fusion events. I have been lucky enough to pull fusion champions in the past which is really helpful.

It’ll be Ancient and Mystery shards, plus some fusion Epics from Relickeeper, Broadmaw and Rhazin. Got 4-digits in gems if that falls short. I’m sweating this and Summon Rush just like HH’s FTP account. Persevere!

AH! Its the summon rush that’s going to kill it for me once again :/ Just popped everything I had to get the two goats from Champion chase, now I have a week to get enough shards for an even harder shard event or I end with 15/16 goats………

RNG or no win for me now. It would cost me Several hundred £ for enough shards for summon rush next Friday and as a low spender £20ish a month its just not possible at this stage… Summon rush events will be the end of me playing raid I think.

I’ve saved some resources for this event, but I can already feel it sucking at the energy.
I hope my strategy works.

Goats:
4x from Dragon, Ice Golem, Fire Knight, Spider
2x from Arena
3x from Dungeon Diver
2x from Artefact enhancement
1x from Sumon Rush
= 12 Goats
Reserve: 1x Goat from Champion Training. Possibly more of 60 Blue Shards I have.

Kinagashi from the Summon Event. Saves me 4 Goats.

What do you think?

If Kinagashi’s Summon Rush barrier is 4600, like it was for Fylja during Karato’s Fusion, besides cry, what do you do?

Working on the champion chase in my 4th set of 10 ancients I pulled Helicath! Pure dumb luck. I’m stunned. Now I’m so confused. I’m a FTP player who’s been hoarding resources for the right fusion and have a legit chance to complete this fusion. Do I need 2 or should I stop immediately and continue hoarding for the next fusion?

2 would be insanely good if the passive works for both. even if not it would be a great Unkillable comp.

Crazy lucky I pulled Helicath on my 14th blue shard during the 2x event. Won’t have to struggle with fusion.

Kinda sad that the fusion guide runs behind. It’s like this is what you should have done yesterday. So far not to crucial for me but a little disappointing… If I would be a new player I would really enjoy an on day one do this (drag out if needed) but rest and do nothing if you got there. Actually you get better advice from the youtube channel and prob even more up to date from twitch. But I liked the kinda comprehensive way they used to put it. Champion training and artifact enhancement is already running but no guide to it

Completely agree KeuleEule – I do most fusions and like this as a sense check I haven’t missed anything (used to keep my own spreadsheet but can’t be bothered now). Such a shame as the rest of the site is great – seems fusion updates get neglected at times
Also watch loads of cc’s on yt so that keeps me on point.

yeah fully agree. it’s not a guide, it’s a copy paste of what is happening and it’s not even up to date. as a new player if i was checking this every day i would be screwed. heck the day 5 doesn’t even make mention of not doing ice golem runs until the next day when the dungeon divers starts. and it’s not even up to date. either mr hades or one of his minions is slacking off big time

More interesting is to get Kinagashi. Because that saves 4 goats and thus 4 events do not have to be done.

I find it a bit unfortunate that is not specified in advance how many points you have to achieve. It is very difficult to plan.
