The Cowardly Lion Fusion Guide

Welcome to the The Cowardly Lion Fusion Guide, where we will provide you with all of the information necessary to complete the August Fusion of 2026!

This Fusion is a Hybrid Fusion, meaning instead of collecting Rare Champions or Fragments, we will be collecting Fragments for Epics Champions, before ranking them up and fusing the Legendary Champion, The Cowardly Lion.

Be sure to check back daily to see our breakdown of how many points you will need in each event and the best ways to achieve this.

Fusion Type: Hybrid

The Cowardly Lion is a Hybrid Fusion, rather than the standard ‘Fusion Event’ or ‘Fragment Collector’ we are more commonly used to, this means, that instead of collecting Fragments or Champions to fuse him – we get to do both! We will be collecting 4 Epic Champions, by collecting 100 Fragments for each of them – which are then fused into The Cowardly Lion!

Once you have collected enough fragments for all four epics, you will need to rank them at level 50 and rank 5 and fully ascend them!

These fragments will be collected by completing Fusion Events and Tournaments, which will be rewarded with specific Point Milestones.

One important thing to note with Hybrid Fusions is just like Traditional Fusions – you will need to finish this Fusion (and summon them) during the window, which is clearly labelled with a countdown – you CANNOT hold off summoning her for the future, unlike with a Fragment Collector.

The Cowardly Lion Fusion Events

As part of the Fusion, we will have 2 core summoning events in the Fusion Schedule, one Summon Rush and one Champion Chase Tournament.

  • Friday, 21st August – Champion Chase Tournament
  • Friday, 28th August – Summon Rush Event

With Super-Raids now being a permanent Feature in Dungeons, Plarium used to enable them especially for Fusions; however, we now get special events for each dungeon. These boosts will coincide with their respective Dungeon Tournament throughout the Fusion Event, giving us increased chances to get specific Artifact Sets!

Finally, as this Fusion contains several different summoning events, you will need to plan ahead to determine if you can achieve this. We don’t know the exact point requirements for the summon rush so far, but you will need to be prepared. Use our summon rush calculator below to see how many points you can currently earn.

Update: Day 1 – Wednesday, August 19th

New Events:

  • Dragon Tournament – 25 Fragments – 2250 Points
  • Gear Enhancement Event I – 25 Fragments – 4775 Points

Welcome to the start of the Fusion!

To get the 5 Fragments from the Dragon Tournament, you’ll need to earn 2,250 Points. This works out to around 140 runs of Stage 20 Normal, costing approximately 2,240 energy, or 120 runs of Stage 10 Hard, costing around 2,400 energy. As usual, Stage 20 Normal remains the most efficient route when farming gear for fusion tournaments. Remember — gear RNG can vary, so your actual run count may differ slightly.

Next up, we have the first Gear Enhancement event. Now is the best time to take advantage of these bonus events to build the Champions you need for upcoming content progression, or to do some gear cleansing. Artifact Enhancement can be done in two ways: you can gear cleanse to the points or you can upgrade pieces to rank 16.

Gear Cleansing Route

If you have a number of artifacts on level 1, an efficient way to claim the rare Champion is to upgrade Artifacts to level 8 or 12 and then sell the items for silver. This still remains a negative silver gain but it’s far less punishing than upgrading Artifacts to level 16. You may choose to keep some good pieces (a bonus!). This route might take only 10-15 million silver to complete the event.

Gear Upgrading Route

If you are looking to complete some Champion builds, then Level 16 artifacts are important to maximise their potential. We highly recommend you prioritise Artifacts instead of upgrading Accessories as this will be significantly less silver to complete the event. This route will take you approximately 20 million silver to complete.

Update: Day 2 – Thursday, August 20th

New Events:

  • Gear Hunters Event I – 25 Fragments – 3700 Points

For the  Gear Hunters Event I, the 3,700-point target is a standard fusion milestone. This will require roughly 304 runs of Stage 20 Dungeons at a cost of 4,864 energy, or around 273 runs of Stage 10 Hard, costing 5,460 energy. If you’re farming Dragon today, you’ll naturally progress both events together — efficient double dipping!

Update: Day 3 – Friday, August 21st

New Events:

  • Champion Chase Tournament – 75(25+25+25) Fragments – 1800/3500/5500Points

For this Fusion’s Champion Chase Tournament, we have a very exciting weekend with 2x Sacred Shards, as well as a10x Event for one of the new Echoes of Oz Champions!

Remember, if you do all the other events and tournaments, you only need 25 fragments from this tournament; the remaining 50 are considered “bonus fragments” to allow you to skip other events.

For more information on this summon event, please check out our dedicated news article linked here.

Update: Day 4 – Saturday, August 22nd

New Events:

  • Champion Training Event – 25 Fragments – 6100 Points
  • Fire Knight Tournament – 25 Fragments – 2250 Points

To get the 5 Fragments from the Fire Knight Tournament, you’ll need to earn 2,250 Points.

Today we also have the Champion Training Event. To maximise your points in this Event, it is important to level up your chickens before using them as food. You can easily achieve this by adding some brews to the 4*/5* chickens before feeding them. This simple step will greatly assist you in achieving the necessary points to complete the Event successfully.

For further information on how to best complete these events efficiently, be sure to check out our Champion Upgrade Guide.

Update: Day 5 – Sunday, August 23rd

New Events:

  • Classic Arena Takedown – 390 Points – 25x Fragments

The classic arena takedown should be relatively straightforward if you are able to fight and win at least half of your daily tokens. At Gold 5 you need to win 30 fights over 72 hours to claim the Champion. This will scale lower so pay attention but if you are lower in your account level then your point requirements should scale with your arena rank.

Update: Day 6 – Monday, August 24th

New Events:

  • Gear Enhancement Event II – 4,775 Points – 25x Fragments (225/400)

For the Gear Enhancement event.

Update: Day 7 – Tuesday, August 25th

New Events:

  • Gear Hunters Event 1 – 3,700 Points – 25x Fragments

For this Gear Hunters Event, to acquire the fragments from this we will need 3,700 points (which is a fairly standard amount in fusions these days). This calculates to on average 304 runs of Stage 20 Normal Dungeons, and will cost you around 4,864 energy, or 273 Runs of Stage 10 Hard Dungeons at 5,460 Energy.

Update: Day 8 – Wednesday, August 26th

New Events:

  • Ice Golem Tournament – 2,250 Points – 25x Fragments

For the Ice Golem Tournament, you will need to acquire 2250 Points, and this calculates to roughly 140 runs of Stage 20 normal at a cost of 2,240 energy or around 120 runs of Stage 10 Hard at a cost of 2,400 energy. Running Stage 20 Normal is the most energy-efficient route when it comes to fusion tournaments (unlike turn attack tournaments, which require a high stage). These rates are an average assessment; therefore, some of you may high roll or low roll your gear, requiring slightly less or slightly more runs.

Come back tomorrow for more Fusion Updates!
