The Ultimate Epics For Hard Faction Wars – Dark Elves!
Hard Faction Wars has arrived in Teleria for those who have already claimed Lydia the Deathsiren as the ultimate reward for 3-starring all the stages in Normal difficulty. Now, the quest continues for the latest Faction Wars reward, Polara Fireheart – a Mythical champion from the Sacred Order. Along the way, you’ll earn some impressive milestone rewards as you push through these new stages. In this series of articles, we’ll be spotlighting some of the MVP Epic champions you should consider for each faction.
This new Hard Mode adds extra challenges to earn those 3-star clears: 1 star for simply completing the stage, 2 stars for finishing with 5 champions without losing anyone, and a final 3rd star for completing the unique stage condition. The Epics we’re featuring here range from top-tier powerhouses to those who fill a niche role – sometimes perfectly suited for tackling specific stage conditions, and sometimes offering broad utility that can cover multiple requirements.
You’ll also come across a stage that requires you to beat it using at least 3 Epic champions – so even if you have Meta Legendaries for most stages, these Epics will still find a place in your team for that challenge. Let’s dive into some of the best Epic champions from the Dark Elves!
Most Valuable Players

Madame Serris has remained one of the strongest offensive support Epics in the game, thanks to her simple yet highly effective kit that fits into many types of content. She reliably removes all buffs from enemies, applies both Decrease Attack and Decrease Defence, and even has a chance to steal buffs. Additionally, she provides Block Debuffs to allies and places True Fear on enemies when buffs have been stolen. This makes her a great for boosting your team’s damage, reducing the damage you recieve, and stripping away enemy defensive / offensive buffs.
This Epic earns a spot on the list for similar reasons to Madame Serris, offering reliable buff removal paired with the Weaken debuff instead. With a 3 turn cooldown, she can consistently strip enemy buffs while boosting your team’s damage output. While she lacks Madame’s crowd control, she makes up for it with the ability to revive a single ally in clutch moments and apply Block Buffs to key targets. A solid and accessible option – especially since she’s available for free through Normal Secret Rooms fragments.
Psylar is a versatile option for adjusting builds to meet various stage 3 conditions, especially since she has two AOE attacks that hit all enemies. Whether you’re tackling stages 3 and 11 that require Provoke, stage 5 for Hex, or stages 2 and 9 for Freeze, using sets like Cursed, Provoke, or Frost can help meet those requirements – or go with Stun for general crowd control. On top of that, she brings utility by applying Decrease Accuracy, Decrease Speed, and reducing enemy Turn Meters, making her helpful for stage 6 and overall progression.
If you’re in need of a reviver, Kaiden is one of the best options at his rarity within the faction. He can revive two allies with 50% HP and applies Increase Defence on them for protection, on a 4 turn cooldown. Alongside this, he brings solid defensive support with an AOE Decrease Attack ability and can help with the stage 3 and 11 condition thanks to his A1 having a chance to place Provoke. Kaiden is especially vuseful if you’re lacking stronger revivers in the faction and need this utility.
HONOURABLE MENTIONS
Luria
Stages 2 and 9 require you to apply the Freeze debuff for the 3 star stage condition, and Luria is a strong Epic option with a 75% chance to Freeze on her A2. As a damage dealer, you’ll need to be careful not to eliminate enemies before the debuff lands, but her ability to help meet this requirement is valuable. Additionally, her A2 can block revive on enemies it kills, which is great for stage 16, while her A3 removes buffs and places Block Buffs on a single target. Her A1 adds extra utility by placing one of several debuffs at random. A solid choice for both damage and control.
Dark Kael
For Stage 1, where you need to apply 20+ Poisons for the 3 star condition, or Stage 19, which requires defeating 3+ enemies while under 10 debuffs, Dark Kael is a strong choice. His A3 applies 3 Poisons and a Poison Sensitivity to a single target, while also triggering his passive to reduce the Crit Rate of enemies under Poison. He also brings AOE Decrease Attack to help mitigate incoming damage, and can extend debuff durations on enemies for more utility.
Captain Temila
Originally we had Crimson Helm, an Epic best known for her ability to solo Bommal the Dreadhorn, who also brings an active skill Provoke to help with certain stage conditions. However, as many players tackling Hard Faction Wars may already have Visix the Unbowed, she may not be as essential. The same goes for Krakarth, who isn’t widely considered a worthy reward for the time investment but still offers solid defensive support with Shield and Strengthen.
Captain Temila comes in as a solid defensive support option, applying Ally Protection and Increase Defence to allies, along with healing them for 15% of her Max HP. A simple yet effective champion to provide general sustain across the stages if you’re lacking stronger options.
Dirandil
Aside from providing some support for the Stage 2 and 9 Freeze conditions with a chance to place Freeze on his A1, Dirandil should primarily be considered as a damage dealer. His A3 delivers a strong single target nuke and applies Perfect Veil to himself, which is especially useful for Stage 18, where you must defeat 10+ enemies while under this effect. He also brings an AOE attack that ignores 15% of enemy defence and fills his Turn Meter on each critical hit, allowing him to cycle his turns faster.
