THEIMIOS THE EVERDRINKER’S SKILLS EXPLAINED

A1 – DON’T BE BORING!
This is one of the best A1 attacks in the game, bringing a tremendous chance to land AoE Provokes.
The chances to land Provoke are as follows (assuming no weak hits from bad affinity, or resists from low ACC):
- A 64% chance to land it by default
- A 69.75% chance to land it if given the Fearsome Prescence Mastery.
- A 74.8% chance without Fearsome Prescence but when geared in a Provoke set.
- A 80.3% chance when geared in Provoke and built with Fearsome Prescence.
You can boost these chances even further by using the Legendary Square Gemstone, Opening Gambit.
Even just going off default chances, this is a very consistant source of AoE Provoke debuffs, and will give phenomenal control against any enemy waves.
This is a particularly strong counter against the Mercurial gear set in PvP, since it not only brings 2 hits to strip away Total Guard, but Provoke can now be placed on enemies who have Total Guard buffs (and it prevents them regenerating a stack of Total Guard if they have 9-piece Mercurial).
A2 – WHAT’S YOUR POISON?
Removing Buffs paired with 3 Poisons is a phenomenal combo, countering the typical Block Debuffs counter to poisoners.
This will do fantastic damage to waves and early-game bosses.
It will still do good damage against mid-game or later bosses, but these typically have a 90% damage reduction to Poison.
This ability also sets up his survivability by enabling his passive, discussed below. The Shield buff from this ability is quite weak in practice, though it is decent against Hydra Clan Boss where it will help him be targetted by Head of Mischief–make sure to build high RES in this case!
A3 – POTENT LIBATION
This is a very useful ability, providing the rare Perfect Veil buff for your team. This buff is extremely helpful against Hydra, to avoid the True Fears from the Head of Torment.
Increase ACC is always useful for progressing against difficult bosses, since ACC requirements are a major hurdle for most of them.
The Increase ACC buff is particularly useful for Theimios himself, since this will enable him to build high RES instead of high ACC, further boosting his survivability.
P1 – LIFE OF THE PARTY
This is an incredibly powerful survivability passive, particularly against waves of enemies.
Evade will cause you to avoid all damage and all negative effects or debuffs associated with an ability–and he can have up to 65% Evade from this passive!
One A2 will be enough to fully stack this against a wave, or pair him with other Poison champions when facing bosses.
The second part of the passive enhances Poison debuffs even further, and will speed up your wave clear significantly by triggering Poisons faster.
AURA – ACC IN ALL BATTLES
This is particularly useful for Theimios himself for the same reason as his A3 was: it will enable him to build high RES instead of high ACC, further boosting his survivability.
THE BEST AREAS FOR THEIMIOS THE EVERDRINKER

As you can see from the section above, Theimios the Everdrinker is a potent combination of pumping out mass Poisons while Tanking incoming damage with his constant Evades.
DRAGON DUNGEON (AND ICE GOLEM NORMAL)
Theimios is a solo dungeon specialist due to his incredible survivability and his AoE Poisons.
Dragon on both Normal and Hard difficulty, and Ice Golem on Normal difficulty only, are the two premiere examples of where solo Poison champions thrive.
Theimios will be able to solo these dungeons laughably easily, and will likely do the same to most Argonites Faction War stages when it is released next year.
HYDRA CLAN BOSS
Theimios is one of the few champions with team Perfect Veil, helping to protect you from the True Fears from the Head of Torment.
He also has consistent Provoke debuffs to counter the Head of Decay.
Due to his self-buffs and his ability to build high RES (and Evade) he also makes for an excellent “Mischief Tank”: by having more buffs than other champions, he will get targetted by the Head of Mischief, and can then resist it consistently. The Lightning Cage Blessing helps here by bringing an extra buff.
WAVE BASED CONTENT: DUNGEONS, FACTION WARS, GRIM FOREST, ETC.
Theimios is an absolute monster when it comes to fighting any waves in content such as Faction Wars, Grim Forest, etc.
His AoE Provoke A1 is a very reliable way to control these waves, and his A2 Poisons can do serious damage over time.
With 5 enemies being standard per wave, he can easily max out his Evade chance with a single wave of Poisons on them, becoming almost impossible for them to kill or debuff.
You can expect Theimios to be able to solo most Cursed City, Faction Wars, Grim Forest etc. stages by himself if built correctly!
PvP – ARENA AND SIEGE
Theimios is a very intruiging option for PvP.
The simplest way to use him is to combine his Buff Removal and Poison A2 with the Arachnelixir Relic and Lethal Dose Blessing. This combination will allow him to deliver incredible damage against any vulnerable enemy, but it requires late-game Blessings, Relics, and stats to pull off successfully.
He can also be used as an anti-Mercurial champion thanks to his A1: Provoke debuffs can now be placed on enemies with Total Guard buffs, which means he can reliably force them to miss their turns, and strip off 2 stacks of Total Guard with each A1 on top of that. This is a powerful option for many players, though he will likely need Fill Turn Meter effects or an Ally Attack effect to ensure he lands his A1 before enemies take their turn.
HOW TO BUILD THEIMIOS THE EVERDRINKER

Theimios the Everdrinker can be built in several ways:
- As a self-sufficient solo champion.
- As a PvP Poisoner.
- As a general support for PvE teams.
Best Stats for Theimios the Everdrinker
The key stats to look for on Theimios the Everdrinker are:
- ACC
- SPD
- RES
- HP%
- ATK%
ACC is crucial for landing debuffs–but although it is essential to hit ACC requirements, the Increase ACC buff and ACC aura in Theimios’ kit means that his ACC requirements are actually very easy to reach. (And there is no benefit to building excess ACC.)
Check out the Raid Stages Tool to check any given stage to get precise ACC requirements.
As a rough rule of thumb, we usually recommend: 200 ACC for early-game; 300 for mid-game; 400 for late-game. But for Theimios we recommend: 130 early; 200 mid; 270 late (and reduce these by a further 60 points if you’re using his Aura).
SPD is important after ACC, to keep enemies Provoked and to maintain a high number of Poisons for clear speeds and for stacking his Evades. We recommend: 200 early; 250 mid; 300 late.
RES is an extremely valuable stat of Theimios since he is so survivable and has such low ACC requirements. We recommend focusing on this after you’ve hit your thresholds for ACC and SPD: aim for 300 early; 400 mid; 500 late.
ATK% is only used when paired with the Arachnelixir Relic to boost his Poison damage.
HP% and DEF% are both good to boost his survivability.
Best Gear Sets for Theimios the Everdrinker
The best sets for Theimios the Everdrinker are:
Early-Game:
Mid -Game:
Late-Game:
Any sets which boost his priority stats are great choices.
Early-game is focused on getting enough SPD and ACC for his effects, through easy sets to acquire. Don’t worry about ideal sets: simply use the actually good pieces of gear you own.
Mid-game is a big upgrade, with the goal being to get a 4-piece Regeneration set to boost his solo potential, 4-piece Provoke for team support, or 4/6-piece Stoneskin for PvP. Each is good; it depends on your priorities.
For Late-game, 9-piece Feral is ideal for the team damage boost in PvE content. 9-piece Mercurial is ideal for PvP to ensure he can avoid debuffs such as Polymorph.

- Lightning Cage (Legendary): An interesting option for making him even more reliable at tanking. It counts as an extra buff, so will help direct the Head of Mischief to targetting him in Hydra Clan Boss–worthwhile if you build enough RES to block its steal effects.
- Emergency Heal (Rare): A niche survivability pick, giving him self-healing thanks to his Shield A2, and extra good if paired with a Blooshield accessory.
