Raid Weekly Recap 2: Nov 27th – Dec 3rd

There has been new content being teased that will come before the end of 2023 for quite some time now, and it has been coined by Plarium as “bigger than the Doom Tower”. This content has been slowly leaked by sending different creators photo clippings and audio messages, along with a dedicated creator stream collaboration that was hosted on DeadwoodJedi’s YouTube channel. What we know so far:

• The content will unlock at Account Level 52
• There will be some sort of Blessing Awakening requirement for some stages
• Battles and progress will not cost Energy
• 2 different difficulty modes
• 100 stages on each difficulty
• Will feature Super Raids
• Difficulty expected to be comparable to Hard Doom Tower
• Some sort of side stage / secret room mechanics requiring niche teams
• Fights that involve facing 2 different RAID bosses at the same time
• Content should be live in-game before the end of 2023

Initial impressions throughout the RAID community have seemed decently positive, but there are definitely some concerns being voiced. For example, there seems to be a rehashing of content that already exists, like using current bosses instead of building new ones, this may be somewhat similar to something like a Doom Tower 2.0, and the Blessing Awakening requirements could end up being harsh for many players.

For 100 Void Shards, players were able to pursue adding Valkanen to their roster this week during his guaranteed summoning event. He grades out as a 4* champion on HH Gaming’s Official RAID Shadow Legends Tier List.

Valkanen is the earlier form of the infamous Bad-el-Kazar and was introduced to the RAID universe during Episode 9 in Call of the Arbiter. We have a dedicated page for the other guaranteed summon events that have happened HERE.

Valkanen is mostly viewed as a solid Legendary champion with some fun and interesting things in his kit, but not quite a top-tier Void Legendary.

During the month of December, players will be able to earn “Snow Points” by completing a certain amount of progress in different Tournaments and Events in-game. A total of 2,000 points will need to be earned to acquire Tormin the Cold, out of a total possible of 2,500 points that will be available during the month.

This will prove to be semi-difficult but Tormin can be a worthwhile champion to pursue, as he fills a scarce role within the game helping defensive teams perform well in PvP, especially early and mid-game. He grades out as a 3.5* on the HH Gaming Tier List, as he is useful in PvP, but can be pretty underwhelming in most PvE content, especially for end-game players.

Players should keep in mind that we will most likely be getting some sort of Fusion or Fragment Event during December as well. So if prepping for a new event champion is important for you, be careful about blasting through all your resources in the pursuit of acquiring Tormin the Cold.

According to some polling on ChoseN’s YouTube Channel, the split is pretty close to 55/45 in the RAID community, in terms of whether people will be going after earning enough points to acquire Tormin or not.

Hell Hades put out an important video for one of the hardest bosses in RAID, Bommal the Dreadhorn, detailing a strategy for players to consider for clearing his battle that is even viable on the hardest iteration up to level 90 in Hard Doom Tower. The strategy details how to utilize the recent fusion champion, Sun Wukong, alongside the Epic champion, Burangiri.

There was also a very good video released by OddOneGaming who was a big inspiration for the video done by Hell Hades, titled “BOMMAL HARD Made EASIER by Sun Wukong!?” that can be viewed HERE.

There has been no official word yet from Plarium, but it should be expected that some sort of fragment or fusion event will occur during the month of December, because there has been a winter holiday event champion every year since RAID’s release. This will most likely be announced within the next 10 days if Plarium has a similar workflow to previous years.

It was officially confirmed by Plarium that the next Clan vs Clan Tournament will indeed feature Personal Rewards, meaning that it will be the more coveted and competitive version of CvC.
