His soul was bounded by the darkness he was warned about, which lead him to becoming the infamous Bad-El-Kazar! Valkanen is a Legendary Void Attack champion, joining the Undead Hordes Faction in celebration of Call Of The Arbiter Episode 9.

Valkanen has a unique kit consisting of Damage & Debuffs, coinciding with a secret skill unlocked by killing / having dead allies! Opening with the Hex Of Blades [A2] he attacks all enemies, however this attack will deal damage individually to each target. The synergy of this skill comes to fruition due to placing a Hex Debuff on enemies before attacking, therefore amplifying the potential of Hex to deal 10% damage instead of 2% from a traditional AOE skill. When referring to content such as the Hydra Boss, utilising this to your advantage for damage optimisation can be extremely valuable.

The rest of his kit is primarily focused on PVP, although using these for content such as the Faction Wars or Doom Tower may still have value [When paired with a Reviver]. Valkanen has a Death’s Bargain [A3], where he will kill a target ally to unlock his secret skill, which places non – resistible Weaken & True Fear Debuffs on enemies, then fills his Turn Meter by 75%. When targeting an ally who is already dead, these will be alternated with Heals, Shield buffs & the same value of Turn Meter.

The Malice Unleashed secret skill is revolved around non – resistible buff steals, damage amplification & ignoring conditions to enable Block revive potentials. When Valkanen attacks an enemy who’s attack is equal to or higher than his own, he will gain a multiplier equal to the targets attack [Not applicable to bosses], although if they’re attack is less he will ignore 50% of their defence. If you desire one outcome over the other, it may be worth manual phasing your turns to attack targets you know will meet the specific stat thresholds.

Valkanen’s passive has a unique synergy, where you can place randomized Debuffs on targets when they attack this champion while under shields. This can be extremely annoying for the enemy team, as this coincides with a Shield of his own upon deaths of your enemies & team! Last but not least, Dead Scythe [A1] ignores shield buffs, but most importantly has a 80% chance of increasing Debuff durations by 1 turn, whilst also having a 100% chance of applying a Debuff Spread, taking 2 random debuffs to place them on targets under Hex. This can be valuable in content such as the Spiders Den, Dragon, or simply the Hydra!
