What Fervor does in raid

Understanding the Fervor Mechanic

Fervor is a buff that increases both the damage dealt and reduces the damage received by the wearer by 10%, making it one of the most versatile buffs in Raid. Unlike buffs that only improve a specific stat such as ATK, DEF, or C.DMG, Fervor benefits any Champion capable of dealing damage while also improving their survivability, regardless of how they scale.

As one of the newer buffs in Raid, Fervor is currently available on only a few Champions, but it already shows strong potential. Beyond its direct offensive and defensive benefits, some Champions can also use Fervor to unlock additional mechanics. For example, Mavara allows allies under Fervor to have a chance of joining ally attacks, suggesting future Champions may introduce even more ways to capitalise on the buff as it becomes more available.

Why Fervor champions are valuable

pallas

Fervor Champions are valuable because they simultaneously increase the wearer’s damage and survivability, making the buff effective in every area of Raid. Currently, Mavara can place Fervor on a random ally through her A1, while Pallas can apply it to the entire team. Whether used individually or together to maximise Mavara’s Fervor based mechanics, they can improve both your team’s damage output and durability.

If you don’t have access to these Champions, the Hallowed Hilt Relic provides another way to apply Fervor, giving healed allies a chance to receive the buff whenever the wearers active healing skill is used. This makes target selection important, allowing you to prioritise your strongest damage dealers or key utility Champions whenever possible.

Best areas to use Fervor champions

PVE Waves & Bosses

Fervor is an excellent buff for PvE, increasing the wearer’s damage while reducing the damage they receive. This helps clear waves more quickly while improving survivability against tougher enemies and bosses, including the Clan Bosses, leading to faster & more consistent runs.

Champions such as Mavara add even more value by enabling allies under Fervor to join attacks, creating additional damage opportunities throughout the fight. If you’re able to keep Fervor active on key allies, these extra attacks can quickly add up, making the buff especially effective in longer encounters such as Hydra.

Arena

In PvP, Fervor makes the wearer harder to take down by reducing incoming damage while simultaneously increasing their own damage output. This creates a strong balance of offence and defence, allowing key Champions to survive longer while putting greater pressure on the opposing team.

Fervor Champions in Raid

Here we’ll be highlighting the current Fervor Champions in Raid: Shadow Legends, showcasing the strengths they bring. As more Champions are released with Fervor, we’ll continue to update this guide with the latest additions.

Mavara

Mavara was the first Champion to introduce the Fervor buff, placing it on a random ally with each use of her A1 while enabling allies under Fervor to have a chance of joining the attacks of other allies under the effect. She complements this with Strengthen, Increase RES, HP equalisation, and a revive that grants Perfect Veil to allies and Unkillable to herself, while her passive provides additional Turn Meter fills or healing as enemies accumulate buffs.

Pallas

Pallas is currently the only Champion capable of placing Fervor on the entire team, combining the buff with a full cleanse and Block Debuffs to provide both offensive and defensive support. She further strengthens her allies with a full team revive, Strengthen, and Increase SPD, while her passive places Shields on debuffed allies and fills ally Turn Meters to keep your team moving.

How to build Fervor Champions

Build Focus

Building Fervor Champions currently revolves around maximising their support potential, as both existing Champions act as enablers rather than damage dealers. Prioritise HP, DEF, RES, and enough Speed to consistently cycle through their skills, keeping Fervor active while supporting the rest of your team.

As more Fervor Champions are introduced, some may also bring debuffs or offensive capabilities. In those cases, be sure to invest in the appropriate Accuracy or damage scaling stats alongside their primary role to maximise the value they bring.

Recommended Artifact Sets

Artifact Sets for Fervor Champions should focus on improving their survivability and support potential while helping protect both the wearer and their team. Sets such as Protection are excellent, with the 9 piece bonus further increasing ally damage while safeguarding important buffs. Mercurial is another strong option through its Total Guard stacks, while Stoneskin remains valuable for surviving the opening turns in PvP.

As more Fervor Champions are introduced, some may also fill offensive or debuff focused roles. In these cases, offensive sets such as Savage, Lethal, or Merciless will maximise damage output, while Accuracy focused sets like Perception, Pinpoint, or Feral are excellent for landing debuffs.

Tips for using Fervor Champions

Mavara the Web Diviner

Fervor is most effective when kept active on your key Champions, increasing their damage while reducing the damage they receive. Prioritise placing it on your strongest damage dealers or the allies who will gain the most value from the additional survivability, and try to maintain high uptime throughout the fight.

If you’re using Champions such as Mavara, take advantage of the extra ally attacks Fervor can enable by keeping the buff active across multiple allies. While the current Fervor Champions are primarily supports, the buff itself is valuable in every area of the game, making it well worth building your team around whenever possible.
