What is Axie Infinity?
Axie Infinity is a Pokémon-inspired universe where anyone can earn tokens through skilled gameplay and contributions to the ecosystem. Players can battle, collect, raise, and build a land-based kingdom for their pets. All art assets and Axie genetic data can be easily accessed by 3rd parties, allowing community developers to build their own tools and experiences in the Axie Infinity universe.
Axie is ranked the #1 Ethereum game by daily, weekly, and monthly active users. It has generated over 13,000 ETH in revenue so far. While Axie is a fun game, it’s also taken on characteristics of a social network and jobs platform due to the strong community and play to earn opportunities that have come from its early success.
What is an Axie?
An Axie is a blob-like creature that has different attributes that vary the way they look. There are 6 different body parts that you can mix and match depending on how they are bred. You bred the Axies to fit the way you want to play. There are 9 different types of classes:
- Aquatic
- Beast
- Bird
- Bug
- Dawn
- Dusk
- Mech
- Plant
- Reptile
Each class has its own attribute bonus, for example, the Plant is a tanky unit that can self heal and soak up all the damage, then the Beast is a critical hit character and uses combo cards to ramp up its damage. Finally, Bird is a fast attacking unit that uses speed and damage to beat its opponents.

What is the Axie Infinity Marketplace?
The marketplace is where you can trade and sell your Axie’s. Players will list the Axie’s that they want to sell and then you as the buyer go through and read through the attributes and see if they have bred previously. If the breed count is 0 then you can breed them further down the line. The marketplace is very simple and easy to use! You need an account on MetaMask so you can buy ETH to buy the Axie’s on the marketplace. All transactions on the marketplace are done using ETH so make sure you have some!
How to get started in Axie Infinity?
To play Acie Infinity you need to Download Metamask and get an account, then get a ronin account so you can trade Axie’s! To begin playing you need to acquire 3 Axie’s by buying them off the marketplace or applying for a scholarship so a manager buys your start and you work for them and pay back the scholar by playing the game and earning SLP (smooth Love Potions) which you can sell.
You can do PvE, PvP or you just breed! Adventure mode is like a campaign mode that you go through but you can only earn a capped SLP so you shouldn’t waste your chance to earn it and do it daily! The arena is Player vs Player and you are live against another user so it’s all about strategy! Then you can breed Axie’s to sell or compete in the arena with!
Axie Infinity is the biggest NFT game that exists right now and people are enjoying playing it! It’s a new type of genre of game where you play to earn. This is done by playing the game and earning in-game rewards which you convert into ETH and then convert that into cash!
