New Damage Type: Shadow – Dragonheir: Silent Gods

The new damage type, Shadow is one of the three new damage sources coming into Dragonheir: Silent Gods in Season 3, and they are formed from the Necrosis Element, alongside Summoner Damage Dealers, they will serve as a brand-new synergy capable of dealing huge damage.

In this article, we are going to break down how Shadow works and show you the new heroes coming to the game. At the bottom of this article, I(Neva) have made a video giving a more detailed breakdown of my thoughts and opinions on how these new damage dealers will perform in Season 3.

How Shadow Works

Shadow heroes, unlike all others, do not have an Ultimate Meter, nor set skill recharge rates, instead, this is replaced by Shadow Energy.

These Heroes’ Ultimate skills consume Shadow Energy, however, it does not increase over time, it is instead generated by attacking or casting other skills.

Some Shadow Heroes can boost their teammate’s Shadow Energy, allowing them to effectively become “enablers” rather than damage dealers, to boost the rest of the team’s damage output.

Due to the fact that Shadow Heroes do not have Ultimate Energy, they are immune to any Ultimate Energy Reduction or Recharge Penalty Debuffs which makes them incredibly annoying to face, and very strong in the Arena, along with their strong damage potential.

Overall thoughts on Shadow:

All in all, I think Shadow bring a bit of diversity to the game that is really interesting, I love the fact that Ozul has an alternative form that he can shift into, and so far from the testing I have been able to do, their damage potential is very strong in most situations (They are really not built for Vortex from what I can see).

The fact that Daphne is able to completely disappear from the fight to ignore any incoming damage is also really unique and cool since she is still able to deal damage during this, with her Ultimate Skill possessing another ally.

Tuning these Heroes may prove to be quite difficult as they don’t have the passive Ultimate Regen that every body else does, however, I think after some more practice and getting used to the way they work, this will become second nature to most, if not all.
