New Fragment Collector! Vildrax!
Plarium has just dropped the news that there will be a new Champion Fragment event coming this month! Much like last year when Plarium did a Mini-Fragment summon for Knight’s Revenant Epic – Bergoth the Malformed, this year we’ll once again see an Epic Fragment Collector.
On Wednesday, November 24th, we’re planning to launch a Champion Fragment event with a new Champion – Vildrax.
Faction – Demonspawn
Rarity – Epic
Type – Support
Affinity – Magic
Vildrax should be really helpful on difficult stages of Doom Tower, especially against the waves that contain Champions with Heal, as he’ll be stealing the heal with his Passive skill. He’ll also be able to put enemies’ skills on cooldown with the help of his A3.
Vildrax is the first Support Champion with Hex debuff in their skillset. So you can definitely experiment and pair him with other Hex Champions to get some extra benefits.
Skills:
A1 – Verminous Grasp
Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. Each hit has a 30% chance of placing a [Leech] debuff for 2 turns.
A2 – Duke of Flies
Attacks all enemies. Has a 75% chance of placing a [Hex] debuff for 2 turns.
A3 – Swarm of Horrors
Attacks all enemies. Has an 80% chance of increasing the duration of all enemy debuffs by 1 turn.
When hitting enemies under [Hex] debuffs, also has a 60% chance of putting one of their skills on cooldown.
Passive – Pestiferous
Has a 10% chance of stealing the heal each time an enemy under a [Hex] debuff is about to be healed.
[Does not work against bosses. The amount healed will be the same as it would have been on the original target of the heal, except if the heal is based on the target’s HP, in which it will scale off [Vildrax]’s HP].
This basically helps four Champs: Thea the Tomb Angel, Cleopeterix, Ruel, and Thylessia.
Ruel is mostly useless and has been sitting in my vault unused. Cleopterix absolutely needed a complimentary champion to help with hexes but we’ll all be getting it as long as we log in daily. Thylessia was easy to get in the other fragment event and this will help owners of her the most.
I’ve started collecting shards of Thea the Tomb Angel, but it’s gonna be awhile for me on that front.
Anyone who watched a high end dark elf dragon team from that DE only one a ways back knows what hex and ruel are capable of Straight up DELETING waves, I’m sure Th tomb angel has it in her too. Let everyone stop posting and moaning about hex and Plarium forcing it on us or whatever and enjoy a cool aspect of the game for anyone savvy enough to unlock its potential
Im wondering whether to go for this fragment fusion or not. I don’t have many Hex champs (only Ruel and Cleopterix). His ‘stealing of heals’ ability sounds useful as does his debuff extension. I’ll have to wait until the event goes live before I make my decision I guess. Don’t wanna get started with only to abandon it after being ‘pay walled’ again……
