Spacer

Mobile games are at the core of our audience and while we love to get involved in games like Raid Shadow Legends and Eternal Evolution it is always a good idea to keep an open mind for new games on the horizon in 2023.

We have scraped the internet to find out about some of the most exciting upcoming games in 2023 that you might want to keep an eye out for.

Here are our top picks for some of the most interesting mobile games that should be going live in 2023.

Arclight-Rumble

Warcraft: Arclight Rumble

Arclight Rumble is the latest addition to the Blizzard Warcraft universe. Originally, previewed back in May 2021 we thought that we may have a global launch of Arclight Rumble before the end of 2022. However, it looks like the team at Blizzard Entertainment is still fine-tuning the beta for Arclight Rumble, so, unfortunately, we are still going to have to wait.

Arclight Rumble is set in the Warcraft Universe and has gameplay that will be a mix between Warcraft 3 and Clash Royale, sounds interesting right? This top-down, portrait-orientation mobile game will offer hours of entertainment with strategic PvE and PvP gameplay. Collect units, level them up, and wage war in dungeons, raids, and battlegrounds.

We do not know the specific release date for Arclight Rumble yet, however, considering the game was originally hinted to go live in 2022, it is likely that we will see it available on Android and Apple devices in 2023.

Ever-Crisis

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis

Final Fantasy has been around since 1987 and over the years it has created an extremely dedicated following. In 1997 Final Fantasy VII was released on the original PlayStation and quickly became of the top picks for Final Fantasy lovers’ best experience with the franchise. This latest mobile adaption of Final Fantasy VII will have the whole timeline of the original game wrapped into a new mobile RPG experience. The developers of the game have stated that Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis will be completely free to play, however, it will also have gatcha/collector elements to improve your character through in-game purchases.

Pokemon-TCG

Pokemon: Trading Card Game

The craze of Pokemon Trading cards is one that seems to resurface every few years, but did you know that the is an actual game that you can play with the cards too? Much like Hearthstone and Magic the Gathering this mobile version of the Pokemon Trading Card game will allow you to collect and build decks through the app, pull packs, and battle head-to-head with other players. There is no release date yet for the mobile version of the Pokemon Trading Card game on mobile devices, however, we are expecting it to hit the app stores early in 2023.

Monster-Hunter-Mobile

Monster Hunter Mobile

You read that right! Monster Hunter is coming to mobile. After the success of Monster Hunter Rise on the Nintendo Switch, the developers of the Monster Hunter franchise have decided to create a stand-alone version of the game for mobile devices.

In Monster Hunter you embark on epic missions to take down crazy monsters and creatures around the land. Monster Hunter is well known for its exciting gameplay and graphics making it a very exciting addition to the mobile gaming scene in 2023.

POE-Mobile

Path of Exile Mobile

After the launch of Diablo Immortal, we knew that it was only a matter of time before Path of Exile put its foot in the ring with a mobile version of the game. Path of Exile is a top-down dungeon grinder RPG game that sees players battle their way through levels, collect gear and advance through a vast storyline. Historically Path of Exile has been extremely generous with its pay-to-play model mainly focusing on small quality-of-life purchases and cosmetics rather than providing a massive power creep by spending real-life cash.

One of the biggest downsides to the launch of Diablo Immortal was its pay-to-win nature with some players claiming that to really excel in the game you would have to spend upward of $100,000! Insane! Now, we all know that mobile games follow the trend of microtransactions but by allowing players to still enjoy the game without spending, it creates a community in the game rather and allows people to choose to spend if they wish to, rather than making it a requirement to experience the game in its fullest.

We can only hope that Path of Exile will take note of what happened with Diablo Immortal and heed it as a warning when their payment structures go live in the game.

We do not know a release date as of yet for Path of Exile mobile, however, it is likely to be in 2023 or 2024.

Warzone-Mobile

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile

Another entry from the team at Blizzard Entertainment is Warzone mobile. After the success of the Call of Duty: Warzone Blizzard Entertainment has decided to transition the game into the mobile scene too. This is not the standard type of game that we usually cover but it’s a great game to look out for if you enjoy the Call of Duty series. This game is set to release in 2023 and although we do not know the release date as of right now, it is looking to be towards the end of Q1 in 2023. So it is likely that mobile players will be able to get their hands (literally) on this game on their mobile devices very soon.

Raid-Shadow-Legends-PVP

Raid Shadow Legends – Year of PVP

This is not a new game, in fact, Raid Shadow Legends has established itself as one of the biggest RPG games ever to come to mobile devices, however, in 2023 there are likely going to be big changes to the competitive aspect of the game with their hinted “year of PVP”. 2023 is set to bring some exciting new additions to Raid Shadow Legends with some much-needed updates to the competitive PvP scene. Although we do not know what these updates will be, we can be sure that there is something special in the works for this year.

These are just a few of the mobile games that we are looking forward to in 2023. If there is a game coming to mobile that you know about that we have not mentioned here, then please let us know in the comments below.
