Yoshi the Drunkard Fragment Fusion Guide

spacer

Patch 3.40 is live and with it is the Shadowkin Faction! We have the St Patrick’s Day Fragment fusion event going live for Yoshi the Drunkard. As usual with these events, we will be posting daily on this page to keep you up to date and progressing efficiently through the event.

spacer

Yoshi the Drunkard is a Force Affinity legendary from the Shadowkin Faction – The FIRST champion to be named in the new faction, launched 16/03/21.

Yoshi is a great champion for an early or mid-game account, as he brings important buffs such as attack and accuracy. He can be used in a go 2nd arena team against teams with buffs due to his passive, which causes him to gain 4% Turn Meter for every buff cast by enemies, which will help you cut in front of your enemies.

We think his best areas of the game are Doom Tower, and Arena (although he is probably quite niche) – But he will help to carry anybody in the early-mid game In dungeons.

Yoshi will probably serve as a huge staple in most people’s FW teams due to his availability when Shadowkin FW is launched.

Fusion Day 1:

Active Events:

Dragon Tournament (5 Fragments – 1800 points)
Dungeon Divers Event (5 Fragments – 2000 points)

Tips:

Luckily these starting events go hand in hand, so it’s time to dig into the Dragon! To gain the fragments from Dragon you will need 1800 points, which will require around 1800 energy/113 runs in Dragon 20.

Dungeon divers will require ~200 runs of a level 20 dungeon, which is 3200 energy, you will be able to tick of a large amount of those points while doing the Dragon Tournament.

spacer

Day 2:

New Events:

Arena Takedown Tournament (5 fragments – 455 points)

Tips:

As always, arena tournaments are one of the simpler tournaments, simply do your daily arena fights each day for the duration and you should be able to reach enough points to claim your fragments, if it’s getting close at the end – don’t be afraid to gem a refill or two!

spacer

Day 3 Update:

New Events:

Artifact Enhancement Event (5 Fragments – 1000 points)

Tips:

To obtain the fragments from today’s event, you need to earn 1,000 points in the artifact enhancement event, this one is nice and easy and there are 2 great ways to do it quickly depending on how much silver you have and how prepared you were for the event.

To complete the event with 1,000 points it will take 3x 6* items to level 16, Which will take a large amount of silver, usually, an event like this will consume anywhere between 5-10 million silver but this time the requirements are quite low!

1. If you pre-rolled your gear to level 7/11/15 before the event, you can go ahead and burn through your silver taking these up by 1 level each to gain quick easy points.

2. The other really good option for these events, is doing a good old gear clear-out, roll things that you might want to keep up to see how the stats play out, sell things that you won’t want to keep, a great guide for this

spacer

Day 4 Update:

New Events:

Summon Rush (20 Fragments – 3500 points)
Champion Training Tournament (15 Fragments – 8100 points)

Tips:
This Summon Rush Event lines up with a 2x Sacred Shard event, each Sacred is worth 500 points, meaning you will need to pull 7 Sacred shards to max the fragments, however, you do get points for other shards so fill in the gaps if you need to!

For the Champion Training Tournament, I hope your Campaign farmer is ready as you will need to level up plenty of food/rank up champions, however in these Tournaments you do also get points for ascending champions! These points over 5 days is quite a stretch but very doable, it will just take a bit of focus over the coming days!

spacer

Update Day 5:

New Events:

Fire Knight’s Tournament (5 Fragments – 1375 Points)

Tips:

Fire Knights tournament requires 1375 points, that is an average of 85 runs at level 20, as the minimum points per run of stage 20 are 16, equal to its energy cost. This means it will take just shy of 85 runs with the worst possible luck. This Event does slightly overlap Dungeon Divers 2, on its last day – so you might be able to double-dip some points!

spacer

Update Day 6:

New Events:

Dungeon Divers 2 ( 10 Fragments – 2500/4500 points)

Tips:

This dungeon divers overlaps with 3 different events where you can earn points towards it, champion training tournament, the final day of Fire Knight’s Tournament, and tomorrows Ice Golem Tournament – To do this, you will just need to burn your energy where you need it most, whether that be to finish these current events, Spider for more silver, Dragon for gear, and then Ice Golem when it is released tomorrow!

Be advised, 4500 points is a large requirement, with the minimum points from a stage 20 dungeon being 10, which will mean an average of 90 runs a day for 5 days. Of course this will vary with your luck on dungeon drops.

spacer

Update Day 7:

New Events:

Ice Golem Tournament (5 Fragments – 950 Points)

Tips:

To complete the Ice Golem Tournament with 950 points, it will take you a maximum of 60 runs at level 20, this is not accounting for any Ancient shards/fails you might get on the way!

This is one of the lowest fusion event requirements for a dungeon, and thankfully it’s in a less desired dungeon too! So it’s time to dust off your Ice Golem team, and get yourself some Dungeon Divers points while you’re at it!

spacer

Update Day 10:

New Events:

Champion Chase Tournament (15 Fragments – 750 & 1550 points)
Classic Arena Takedown (5 Fragments – 280 points)

Tips:

Champion chase nicely lines up with 10x chance to summon AOE Default Champions this weekend, so a great time to burn your shards especially if you’re progressing things like Faction Wars still for those stun-sets!

Each epic is worth 250 points and a legendary is worth 500, so the point requirements are fairly achievable if you have saved your shards.

Remember, fused champions, market champions and campaign drops ALSO give points to this, so it should be fairly achievable!
Arena takedown is nice and easy, just do your daily battles as you always would.

spacer

Final Update:

Here are the last two events for Yoshi Fragments, and your last chance to grab the remaining fragments you need to Fuse Yoshi!

New Events:

Champion Training Event (15 Fragments – 2850, 5250, 8250 Points)
Spider Tournament (5 Fragments – 2050 Points)

Tips:

For the Champion Training event, as always – it’s time to level your champions! I hope your Campaign farmer is ready, as it’s going to be busy!

Spider Tournament requires 2050 points, which is roughly 2050 energy in spider 20, or 128 Spider 20 runs assuming worst possible luck of only 5* Rare accessories. This is very achievable for most, Especially over a 3 day period!

I’m gonna get Yoshi, but literally only for Faction Wars. If he was from an existing faction I wouldn’t even bother.
This has to be so far the worst Fragment Fusion ever, and yes, I even rank him below Hordin and Bergoth since they were super easy to get. Especially Hordin. He was in basically one of these “Warmup Event” Style tournaments.

Sure they won’t hand out Krisk on a silver platter but by god, the first champ of a faction could at least be a tiny bit better.

Nah, not just FW. He’s good in Doom Tower waves and in the Arena. Also remember that his A1 got one of the higher multipliers in the game and on top of that 40% chance for stun, so he’s a natural companion to the likes of Fahrakin the Fat (not to mention that those two have supplementing buffs and debuffs, so they’d actually be a great support duo, now that I think of it)

I agree that this fusion stinks. A niche champ with borderline utility and the rest of the rewards are crap. I’ve got better things to do with my time, not even going to bother attempting it.

Are you saying that a Tormin or a Rotos are preferable?

Why no end dates for the events? Those are quite critical for planning and optimizing resources for fragments.

There are end dates. If you read your messages when you play it lists all the dates and events.

How frustrating is this?!!!
I’m planning on the doing the fragment summon, I have 5 sacred shards saved up to help carry the load on the summon event.
First pull, legendary – Mortu-Macaab, SAD!
Second pull, OMG another legendary – Yoshi the Drunkard!!!!!!
I guess I’ll finish the event and get my first duplicate legendary?

Haha well you can save your resources and relish in the fact that you are one of the few people in the game to have him for a week or so

Gratz on getting Yoshi. I pulled 11 sacreds and got a 3rd AND 4th Skull Lord Var-Gall. So sad end of dupe-city for me lol

I got Elegaius from an ancient shard when I was at 85 fragments to get him during this fusion. I ended up vaulting one and getting the other to 50, not even ascended.

maybe get the fragments and not summon him till you need points on a next champion chase?

I would recommend adding the end dates in this guide possiblyevent a graphic timeline, making it more usefull and intuitive for planning out activities.
Great guide though. Thanks!

I wish these fusion event pages included 2 things:

1) wish they included additional events that happen concurrently with the fusion event. Ie 2x Sacred Shard event. I wanted to know if there is going to be another shard event before the end of the fusion event. I think you have a count down timer that mentions a 10x event. But could that be listed on the fusion event date list? And also state if you know what champions are going to be featured on that event?

2.) I wish that the dates listed included the start AND end dates for each event.

That way I can get all of my fusion event info from just this page. I don’t have to bounce back between the news tab in game and the Hellhades site in order to get all the relevant info

I only do these to fill a gap if needed, so I’m doing it for sure. And luckily, I pulled a Trunda during the first champion chase (my first non-rare Dwarf), so I’m excited. I didn’t find this one particularly difficult.

“Arena takedown is nice and easy, just do your daily battles as you always would.” Yeah, right :/
