The Best Champions in Every Faction in 2025! (Part 1)
Our very own Nub Raids recently joined forces with fellow content creator Ash to rank the strongest champion in each Faction in 2025 in RAID: Shadow Legends. In this article we break down the first 8 Factions and why they adore these champions.
BANNER LORDS
BEST LEGENDARY: MARICHKA THE UNBREAKABLE
With her incredible passive revive and protection from Bombs and Burns–alongside incredible healing and shielding–there was no question that Marichka remains the queen of PvP in RAID even into late 2025!
HONORABLE MENTION: TITUS BLACKPLUME
The new Clan Boss killer for 2025, Titus is the top damage dealer for Chimera and Demon Lord and second best (after Trunda) in Hydra.
BEST EPIC: STAG KNIGHT
With his core debuffs of Decrease ATK, Decrease DEF, and Decrease SPD, Stag Knight is an incredibly useful and consistent epic.
HONORABLE MENTION: URSALA THE MOURNER
With one of the best revivers in the game–including even Legendaries and Mythicals–Ursala remains a great epic pick.
HIGH ELVES
BEST LEGENDARY: FYNA, BLADE OF ARAVIA
One of the best Faction Unity champions, Fyna giga-charges one damage dealer with her A3 and A2, and her passive gives massive amounts of Turn Meter and Ignore Defence to her team.
HONORABLE MENTION: ARBITER
The OG Arbiter remains strong into 2025, bringing a fantastic SPD aura for Arena alongside a 30% Turn Meter boost.
BEST EPIC: ETHLEN THE GOLDEN
Ethlen is probably the most underrated epic, bringing strong damage alongside a consistent Block Active Skills AoE debuff.
HONORABLE MENTION: SKEURAMIS
Mini-Krisk, Skeuramis brings lots of Provokes and is tanky enough to take the hits. A better CC champion than most High Elf legendaires.
SACRED ORDER
BEST LEGENDARY: LADY NOELLE
A 3-turn cooldown team revive sets Noelle apart, but it’s her Unkillable spam alongside her husband, Sir Nicholas, that makes her truly special.
HONORABLE MENTION: VAULT KEEPER WIXWELL
Titus’ ultimate wingman, Wixwell provides the Shields that Titus needs to be OP.
BEST EPIC: DEACON ARMSTRONG
A Turn Meter and Decrease Defence machine. A workhorse for any account who pulls him.
HONORABLE MENTION: INQUISITOR SHAMAEL
Arguably the best champion in the game for countering True Fear: he turns it into a Turn Meter boost for your Leader!
BARBARIANS
BEST LEGENDARY: ODIN FAEFATHER
Odin is a PvP menace, bringing incredible control, kill threat, and a game-changing passive.
HONORABLE MENTION: ARMANZ THE MAGNIFICENT
Armanz remains a menace in 2025 as well, potentially chain CC-ing entire teams in arena all by himself.
BEST EPIC: FAHRAKIN THE FAT
By far the best epic in Barbarians, Fahrakin brings a great Ally Attack as well as plenty of helpful debuffs for Chimera Trials.
HONORABLE MENTION: ALIKA
Alika has some nice uses for Siege with her strong damage and Increasing Skill Cooldowns.
OGRYN TRIBES
BEST LEGENDARY: KLAAZAG KEYHULK
A very new champion, Klaazag would qualify as a top-tier void legendary based off either his A2 or A3 alone… And he has BOTH! Truly an insane champion for any boss fight in 2025.
HONORABLE MENTION: STOKK THE BROKEN
Stokk remains a sneaky pick to bypass Block Damage champions like Marichka, Niamhe, or Odin in PvP!
BEST EPIC: UUGO
Uugo is an incredible epic for Hydra thanks to Block Buffs and Decrease Defence alongside a solid amount of healing.
HONORABLE MENTION: MANEATER
Block Buffs and Unkillable is an incredible combo, letting your team survive against almost any boss in the game for those couple of turns.
LIZARDMEN
BEST LEGENDARY: LEGATE TEOX
He’s the Faction Unity and he slams out great personal damage while also giga-charging your best A1-damage-dealer with his constant boosted Ally Attacks.
HONORABLE MENTION: KRISK THE AGELESS
The GOAT Krisk still remains strong in 2025, bringing comfy team protection to any boss fight to this day.
HONORABLE MENTION: SULFURYION
The HP Burn king, Sulfuryion is a beast for both PvE and PvP, ripping through enemy max hp and Stoneskin shields alike!
BEST EPIC: VENOMAGE
The best epic here by far is Venomage, bringing tons of AoE Poison damage, potentially soloing many bosses.
SKINWALKERS
BEST LEGENDARY: MARIUS THE GALLANT
Arguably the best champion in the game, Marius destroys every dungeon, most bosses, and counters most mythicals in PvP as well!
HONORABLE MENTION: SUN WUKONG
Wukong remains an incredible damage dealer thanks to the crazy splash damage on his A2. His combo with UDK is still strong in 2025!
BEST EPIC: AKEMTUM
A sneaky epic who can put out a lot of Poison damage. His passive can proc sets like Stun, making him suprisingly strong for any wave content.
HONORABLE MENTION: FREN’ZI THE CACKLER
An accesible option for controlling waves and burning bosses.
ORCS
BEST LEGENDARY: KRO’KHAD THE FLESHRIPPER
A top fusion from 2025, Kro’khad pumps out crazy levels of damage when paired up with Packmaster Shy’ek. He’s very auto-friendly as well!
HONORABLE MENTION: RAKKA VILETIDE
Rakka is very underrated, bringing a great skillset for Chimera, enabling several Trials.
BEST EPIC: SEER
If you want to delete an entire wave, look no further than Seer!
HONORABLE MENTION: TAGOAR
A great relatively recent reviver, Tagoar brings a surprising amount of healing and a team revive alongside his full team revive.
